Homeboy chose to keep his back against the ropes or corner most the fight and still out-toughed the legendarily tough ward. Emmanuel Augustus did some very special things few credit him fot

What a terrible decision. Should not be punished for unique style when you are not only the aggressor but land many more punches. Plus A knockdown. The fix was in.

What a great fight and an unfortunate decision. Emmanuel Augustus was an enigma and when I saw him on Friday night fights as a kid, he got me more into the sport. I wish he would’ve gotten the nod on those close decisions….shame on “the politics of boxing.” With that said, two warriors who gave the fans a truly great fight!

@@deanvoss7098to me, it’s not so much the clowning; it’s what’s happening during the clowning. If Augustus isn’t getting hit whilst clowning, then the clowning is (in my opinion) null and void, as far as scoring is concerned. If he’s taking too many shots whilst clowning, then that’s when it could (and maybe should) affect him in terms of scoring. I’ve scored a handful of Augustus fights where people often said he was robbed. And I actually scored the majority of them as either draws or losses for Augustus, and the main reason why I scored them against Emanuel was very rarely the clowning, but rather the breaks that he took; he’d dominate rounds with his skills and abilities, but then take too many rounds off.

When Augustus finds his flow, its so smooth to watch, last 45 seconds of teh 12th round is the perfect example.

This guy was robbed of a lot of fights . That he should have won

I love boxing but this is the exact epitomy of what's wrong with it. Disgusting display of hometown favoritism. Judges should be ashamed to this day, and should have had their licenses removed right away. And that ref should have never let Ngoudjo get up and finish the fight. He was concussed and unable to defend himself before he ever hit the mat.

emanuel augustus should be known as one of the greats them white folks aint appreciate what a master of the craft he was. the ref was stopping him every time he got in a groove but the look on the fans all that matters they were smiling with him the whole time i wish he was around now he'd be more appreciated bro my favorite fighter all time
