Nice to hear the other side of the Hermes journey story in France. What is the name of the hotel you stayed at that was the 8 minute walk to the Faubourg ship store?

I stayed at Splendide Royal Paris. It's a small hotel that offers only suites. It lacks the amenities that big properties have but their service is top notch! If you're looking for spacious rooms I would highly recommend it :)

I wouldn't do so without a leather appointment. I think you should enter the appointment system while you're in London. If you get selected you can prob take the train to Paris the next day and make that appointment! Hope this helps 😊

Thank you for sharing. However, for next time, you don’t need to buy a bag you don’t like. You’re paying too much for it and it’s much harder to recoup costs than ppl think. If you want offers more quickly, buy fine jewelry and RTW regularly.

Thanks for you input! Your recommendation is the strategy I use for my home store but I was only in Cannes for 3 days so my options were limited. Almost of half of my prespend was my friend's purchase so my total cost is still less 7K which is the cost of mini lindy in the US with tax😊

No... I wasn't lucky enough to get one 🥲

I am french and my cousin worked before in a Hermes store. People are not aware that Hermes doesn’t SELL bags in the boutique. The few bags that they have is just for display. Yes ladies!. Secondly, you have to buy small accessories like BELTS, bracelets, perfume to be a part of the H-Club or else they will NEVER give you a chance to have a BAG AGENT (Yes, this is true. Only selected/Chosen agent can do this and It is by hierarchy in the maison Hermes). Thirdly, even princess of Saudi Arabia needs to be in a LIST to get bags (One princess got the Birkin after 5 YEARS !!!) and they seldom get what they want. Hermes will ONLY sell the BAGS that they produced, including color and types of Leather in order to have that EXCLUSIVITE and that everyone FEELS Unique. This WORKS for them for EONS and this will not STOP. French doesn’t really care. They are more on QUALITY people than Quantity. Hope this helps.

Thank you for watching the video. Mini lindy was something I really wanted, it's just black was no my first choice color but with Hermes it's hard to get the exact specification of your dream bag. And since wearing but out I actually found that black mini lindy is perfect. It's actually one of my favorite bag now 😊

Thanks for sharing your experience to buy Hermès, I was getting frustrated just listening to your story … why is it so hard to spend your own money and not even get what you like . This is not a luxury experience .. I was all the time feeling as if you were impatiently waiting for the doctor to arrive to get a tooth pulled and but mistake he pulled the wrong tooth. After paying 4700/- or whatever if you had to compromise on colour .. in which world it is considered a luxury feeling. Three days of waiting in the showroom… I would have enjoyed sights of Cannes instead. I wish you don’t have to ever go through with this kind of luxury experience again.. all the very best 🫶😃

I agree with you and I think that's a common issue with most designer stores nowadays... there's always long lines out the door and the experience is anything but luxury. Shopping was one of my main focus on this trip so I didn't mind the experience 😊 and after using it I actually really like the black mini lindy, it's one of my favorite now ♥️
