This was an outstanding interview. Do you know why? You asked a question and let him completely answer the question without interrupting him. I've watched and listened to interviewerss for decades and THE number one mistake the interviewers make (including some of the best all time interviewers) is interrupting the subject and cutting off a potentially great answer. Sometimes they want to the center of attention over the interview subject, but you resisted all those urges and knocked it out of the part. Well done Stats. Well done!

Film don't lie. Pearsall is an elite route runner and catcher. He uses knowledge of leverage in schemes to drive defenders off his routes, sometimes multiple times in the same route. He's a more polished BA coming out of college. Appreciated Coach's input on Ricky's personality. Sounds like a baller for sure.

I like how some people are convinced Pearsall can't be a #1 WR when he's taller, faster and has better hands than BA. He can also block and run routes close to Aiyuk's level. Some would even say he's already a better route runner (as a rookie!) than BA. If he can't become a WR1, BA is not a WR1.

😂 He knows something, had Aiyuk n Pearsall. He's a good receiver, but at 31. Nobody mock this WR to Niners in 1st rd. Isn't the draft for building the longer term. If want to replace Deebo, had bigger WR at 31. A slot WR isn't really Deebo's role. Also, why extend Jennings, draft Cowing n sign Owens son. Niners have 10 WRs for 5-6 spots. OT Williams on his last legs, trouble if hurt, didn't play well in SB. No OT liked by Niners available in draft. Weird, Niners traded pick with SB rivals, Chiefs picked an OT. WTF? Helping rivals? O-line ranked #20-28, couldn't use any help. Niners did pick some O-line help at 3rd n 6th. But talent falls in lower rds. Do Niners think they can coach up, sign 3 UFAs O-line last yr, only 2 made practice squad. Niners been using re-treads for defense last couple yrs. If play great, resign elsewhere. No consistency, constantly rebuilding. Hopefully new batch of re-treads can stop the run n bring some pass rush opposite Bosa. Defense fell to #12. But no D-line drafted. Will new DC help? Niners 21 formation (Cmc, Kitlle, Deebo, Aiyuk) was hard to defend. Could be run or pass. How will Pearsall change this? Replace Deebo? Then, why not trade Deebo. How will Cowings fit in? Replace Aiyuk? Aiyuk had only 3 targets in SB. Will another WR will beat Chiefs. Hey, Kyle/Niners must do somethings right, got to 2 SB. But as fan, with no expertise, somethings Kyle/Niners do are head scratchers. The Bears have spent seven 1st rds picks on QBs. Fields 4 yrs ago, now Willams. We'll see if any better than Fields. We'll see if Pearsall makes Niners any better.

The second best offense in the NFL must have had a pretty damn good offensive line. Quarterbacks, running backs, tight ends and wide receivers have statistics that define their play. Offensive linemen don't. Game tape is the offensive lineman's evaluator. Neither you or I have access to that or care to spend time to watch it if we could.

We wanted Fautanu and Powers Johnson, not another receiver, who wont get any PT because there are 3 guys ahead of him. Trade Debo for Powers Johnson, and I'll be happy. Not happy with the Pearsall pick at all. Trade Ayuk and a 2nd rd pick 2025 for Fautanu and I will be happy. Without a great Oline, Pearsall likely to be a non-factor.
