I guess u missed the main essence of the ghoom museum… DHR was the first himalayan railway built in India, kalka shimla, nilgiri was build based on the engineering of this DHR The major essence of DHR is its engineering The loops, batasia being one of them is a fine example of how the train climbs its gradient by circular loops… and also the reversal is not for the “loco to go idhar udhar”…. Its a zig zag pattern that helps the train climb the steep gradient Its an engineering mavel boss Isko samajhne k liye thoda history books padhna padega… sirf 1500 dekhne se kuch nhi hoga The major part lies in how these B class locomotives still functions and how in 1875 this hill railway was built.. Also the model engine u saw at ghoom… its called the baby sevok , the first indegenous steam engine built in “tindharia” workshop in Darjeeling. Tindhria workshop has lost its glory now, but it holds the record of being the only workshop to build a compelete steam engine on its own Bhai har cheez ko aap normal life ki tarah mat dekho… kuch cheezo ka ek emotional ot nostalgic value hota h DHR IS ONE OF THEM ❤ Darjeeling town ko basane m is DHR ka bohot bada role h Afsos in todays rapid transit age… people have forgotten this old marvel.. ek time tha jab yeh steam engine 6 boggies oor Darjeeing ka pura goods supply siliguri se leke ata tha British raj m..or un goods ko ropeway k mode se remote tea estates tak bheha jata tha.. Thoda history agar share krte apne viewers k saath to bohot accha hota Anyways thank you for atleast covering the DHR

You could tell the reason behind batasia loop. Due to the exetreme elevation at one stretch steam engines were not capable for taking elevation, So for reducing the elevation they made this loop.Though the distance increased but the steap elevation decreased a loy wich was really beneficial. any way apnar vlog ta darun ar khub informative chilo ei vlog ta . onek kichu jante parlam apnar maddhome
