‪@heritage_audio‬ Audio RAM 1000:

Welcome to the cabin! In this video, I'm diving into the Heritage Audio Ram 1000, a monitor controller that's been a game-changer in my setup. Full disclosure: Heritage Audio sent me this device a few months ago, but this review is my honest take on it, and they won't see it until you do. If you're enjoying this content, consider subscribing, or if you'd like to support the channel, drop a super thanks-it helps me keep these videos coming your way.
The Ram 1000 is all about precision with its passive attenuation switch, ensuring pristine sound even at the lowest volumes. It offers various connectivity options: analog inputs 1 and 2, plus Bluetooth, adapting to your streaming service for the highest fidelity possible. You can switch between monitor and record modes, preserving your sound quality.
On the front panel, you'll find seven buttons: Bluetooth input, inputs 1 and 2, outputs 1 and 2, mono, and dim. This device boasts a powerful headphone amplifier with -10dB and +4dB settings, catering to various headphones and interfaces. It ships with two braided USB cables (A to C and C to C), although it doesn't include a charger plug.
The Bluetooth feature, initially seeming like a gimmick, turned out to be incredibly useful. It connects quickly, making it a breeze for artists to play reference tracks from their phones, or for me during setup tasks or meetings.
I've set up the Ram 1000 with analog input 1 coming from my Apollo, and input 2 from my console's mix outputs. This setup lets me easily switch between what I'm mixing and client reference tracks. Output 1 goes to the main speakers, while output 2 feeds my nearfields, creating a versatile workspace.
The Ram 1000's build quality is impressive, addressing issues with potentiometers common in many setups. I've even added a custom platform with the Ram 1000 logo to improve its ergonomic design further. My wish list includes LEDs for each button and the ability to toggle between input and output meters-a luxury touch for sure.
In summary, the Ram 1000 is a well-crafted solution for home studio enthusiasts and pros alike. It's a perfect fit for those with interfaces lacking variable outputs and those seeking an improved headphone experience. The added Bluetooth connectivity elevates its convenience factor.

Only bummer in this video, of course, is we didn’t get to hear your latest song. As always, I am looking forward to your next video!

I have this and 2 gripes I have. One is BT is always on and when nothing is connected it constantly flashes that can be quite distracting. Second is the use of USB-C, not so as it's using USB-C to power but the lack of locking the USB in place or the lack of secure and tight connection to stay in place. Minor bumps can sometimes disrupt the connection and loud pops will be heard on your monitor and headphone if connected. Other than that, it is an exceptional performing monitor controller.

I want this, with RCA's. The goal is to connect my turntable to a monitor controller, which can then be used to control volume on my studio monitors. No computer nor interface in between. My search continues...

Hi Nice content! Would like to ask if i can use the output 1 as studio monitor stereo and output 2 as subwoofer stereo? And the input 1 is from monitor out and input 2 is from sub out of my presonus studiolive 32S Thanks

Is the mono button actively buffered? On the Baby RAM it wasn't, so the mono image wasn't that accurate... Did they solve this now on this, or it's still totally passive throughout?
