We can't theoretically answer that, the only real way to get those answers is to try it out and have real experience with it over a long time. We can't predict things only in theory, we need real life experience to truly know if something is usable or not.

And my answer is of course it should be done. People need to stop relying on movies as facts. They are literally worst case scenarios without checks and balances. AI should come and will come. It’s already too late as Alexa and Siri are with millions of people already. The only thing I worry about is how society will be. If people will be too lazy and just rely on AI to do everything for them. Millennials were the last gen to grow up without an internet dependent life. Gen Z revolves and sets trends around social media. Imo technology advancement should not be restricted and should be done to its fullest extent.

I wouldn’t get my hopes up about all of this. In fact, I think that we all should slow down with technology before things could actually hit the fan, because a lot of this stuff could actually make general human intelligence plummet into a very huge decline, bad enough to be constantly isolated into our devices, which aren’t vital to all of us, but helpful enough to share and receive information. Technology is just fine where it is right now. We don’t need to live lives based on technology upgrades; we as humans need to stop terrorism and need each other now more than ever, not robots and artificial intelligence to spice up the quality of life. True, we may enjoy social media, but we must not become reliant on it, as all of this are just extra items we just happen to have for occasional entertainment and help.

What I thought was revolutionary was my first cell phone. It was one of those Motorola ones that was black with white keys. All I could do was make calls and receive voice mail

Like someone else said, if my automated taxi breaks down I am not climbing into the engine to fix it. That made me smile. Because, I wouldn’t be doing it either. I was a little disturbed at the end of the video where everybody at the party was just texting on their phones and not actually speaking to one another. This to me, is pretty accurate of today’s society and this gives me pause for concern. People need to interact with each other more and just talk. Just my opinion. BTW I remember my first cell phone. It was a flip phone and it was a sanyo 4200. Come to think of it, that was 20 years ago this year. Back in my college days. I just moved out of the dorms into my first apartment. Wow, how far we’ve come in 20 years.

1) Why would anyone want a transparent phone? Background view interferes with the display and it gives you no privacy. 2) If my taxi breaks, I expect my phone to have another taxi come pick me up asap. I'm not diving into the engine to fix it.

I know we were told it's cool to have a transparent screen in scifi movies but have you actually thought about it? Ask yourself will it be easier or harder to see and do everything on your phone when text is on a background that is moving and with randomly less contrast. Also having the image project on your forearm was a idea from about 10 years ago. All good - except if you decided to wear clothes that day. ;) I could go on with some of the other ideas in this video but I think they missed the point. Our phones will be used a lot less often by 2030. Spatial computing via smart glasses, hand tracking and voice commands will become the more useful way to get things done instead of your phone. Your phone on the other hand will be tri-fold and take on a more secondary screen role like a tablet/laptop does today more often than not staying in your pocket optionally offering extra compute power to your smart glasses when needed and/or 5G isnt available.
