Starbucks aren't my favourite, but croissants being too buttery, well that is just impossible.

Buy the bread, eggs cheese and bacon separately and the sandwich is much bigger and half the price. I make them sometimes for breakfast. Meal prep 💯

I've already taken them off my list completely. Their hiring policy and higher moral ground attitude is a complete turn off.

The spinach feta wrap is tasty and one of the healthiest things to get for fast food or the oatmeal. They are overpriced however and you can make these easily at home if you have the time.

If you ever buy prepackaged pastries from there, take a look at the expiration date. I bought a muffin and the expiration date was about 6 months from purchase date. Think of all the chemicals used to keep it from getting moldy. A normal bakery muffin should only last about a week at most!

I work at Starbucks, we keep all pastries in a freezer at -20°C (where absolutely no mold and or bacterias can grow) until the day before we serve them and after 16 hours outside the freezers we throw them out… don’t look for conspiracies where there isn’t one

@@cxffeebr_ak they don’t keep them out of the freezer more than a day or two. After that they’re thrown out, usually after 24 hours (depending on the product)

If you’re in the Denver metropolitan area I highly recommend a little coffee joint called Pablos Coffee. I always keep coming for more there, you can also buy their coffee beans online as well

I mean what doesn't have more than the daily amount of sugar for adults? That one's super nit picky, some others, too

I work at starbucks and would never pay for our food, for example the double smoked chicken bacon panini has your daily values for a lot of things including sodium and fats but contains 2-3 tiny sad pieces of chicken and some crappy bacon that your going to have to cook individually outside of the panini if you dont want it to be soggy, and were not allowed to do exactly that because it would drastically increase drive thru times. I'd say 85% said panini is bread though sometimes you can get lucky and get one with 75%-ish bread to meat ratio

I will still eat their breakfast items I only go once a month as a treat. I'm not surprised most places freeze their foods. 😅😊 I think worth the price of their coffees I don't go daily.

I only get coffee there. They do have an egg protein box which is pretty healthy.

Starbucks is in a hard position too. everyone can get coffee almost every other street or wait till get to the office for some shitty free coffee, so in order to retain their customers, they started adding on breakfast to promote 1 stop shop for your morning and after lunch.

I work in a homeless shelter and Starbucks gives us their expired pastries. They are frozen. I think they don't use real eggs and what was explained sounded like egg beaters.

If you don't already know that Starbucks food is not fresh and it comes frozen.. are you like 5? Starbucks food is what it is they are better known for their drinks and that's what they put their effort in. They have food options so if you are hungry and you're there you can get something. However though their baked goods are actually good.. even if they don't cook it in the store the banana bread is 8.5/10 in my opinion

Just because food is served fast, doesn't make it automatically unhealthy. Similarly, just because food is served slowly, doesn't make it healthy. And eggs mixed with other ingredients is fine. Plain eggs isn't great anyway 😑

For 2023 I'm only buying meat from a local farm in bulk and veggies, grains and dairy from the farmers market on the weekends.

With our work oriented society, there's no point pushing away fast foods 😂 we cannot escape from it wether we like it or not, unless we have extra time ( which we usually don't ) there's no point overthinking about every food we it... We came to the point that the sole purpose of our existence is to be born, eat, work and die. That's it.

On Reddit, I read someone describe Starbucks breakfast sandwiches as something fabricated by a 3-D printer and tasting like it too. I stopped eating some of the other breakfast sandwiches from Starbucks a while ago. This morning I took a chance bought a so-called new item on the menu, a truly awful “chiken” maple “egg” Breakfast sandwich that the menu set was new. I misspelled chicken because that rubbery oil soggy mass tasted like it was 3-D printed. The so-called scrambled egg was Just as bad. I did not eat at all. I just could not do it. ….And I paid over five dollars for that bullshit. McDonald’s chicken nuggets taste better than that. In fact, McDonald’s tastes better than that. I found out that this item was discontinued in 2022, so how can it be new? I guess it’s new in 2024 if it’s discontinued for a year or two. Why do I keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result? A hardhead is a glutton for punishment.

Starbucks food at stores outside the U.S. is so much better.
