Simon It does. In most states, there are laws that say the trucks can be lifted slightly or not at all. However this is not heavily enforced. Unfortunately for Audi they cannot sell a car with what is deemed to be unsafe, even though we know nobody would care and it wouldn’t be really dangerous..

Lol ever since I bought my e63 about 8 months ago, I’ve got a million very tiny rock chips on my front bumper and the worst part is my car is black so it shows (I do a lot of highway driving which is probably why)

I really like this Audi. I've always said Audi makes one of the nicest quality interior finishes of any car. Gorgeous seats! Love the front grill look too!

I have a 2019 RS3 as well as a 2020 Porsche 718 Spyder. I drive the RS3 year round and park my Porsche at Halloween for the winter. My RS3 with winter tires is a beast in the snow. I love that car. If I had to choose one car I would pick the Audi. Thanks for your great review Doug.

Actually the RS3 comes with the option to remove the max speed limitation, it will then go 174mph (280km/h). Since many winter tires in Germany are limited to 150mph (240km/h) the alarm makes sense (well, at least in the only country of the world where you can actually drive the RS3 that fast on the highway...)

The back doors can unlock, Doug. You just have to pull the door handle twice; first pull unlocks the door, second opens it. This is a feature found in almost all Audis and VWs of the last 8 years

Well I considered the RS3 and ended up buying a 2018 S3. I paid $46,790 for a $53,500 stickered S3 where the best deal on a RS3 was $58,900. I spent $2700 on a APR Stage 2 tune and downpipe and I now have 400hp and 396 Lbs torque, I do 0-60 in 3.70 seconds. So did I score? Maybe not, the RS3 will always be a winner.

RS means Rinspeed. Audi's performance arm like Mercedes AMG, or BMW's M Div. Can't believe North Americans haven't had these things made available over the years. These (and AMG's) are as common as Camry's in Australia!

Anonymous. It's unfortunate, but it comes down to how stupid consumers are in any particular country. For example, Australia is AMG's #2 foreign market, not because of sales, but profit margin. They would have to sell 5 vehicle in the US to every one sale in Australia just to MATCH profit margin. 6 to beat it. We're dumb arses here. e.g. we pay double for music from iTunes that is downloaded from the same US server!! Not 'cause we're richer, we're just stupid!

@@jf8188 Thanks for asking. Daily driver was the original intention, however circumstances have me keeping the odometer lower than expected. (just passed the 30K mark). Summer driving mostly, still waiting for a snowy winter to really test it out. No changes in my love for the car. Lots of interest from people too. It’s a keeper for sure.

I just bought the 2018 RS3 got a great end of year deal. I haven't fully read the manual so your video pointed out some features I haven't discovered yet. Despite the seats not being power adjustable they are very comfortable and give a smooth ride even on some rough road.

My 2004 Volkswagen Polo can manually lock the door by pressing down the lock but you can't pull it out again once it's locked. To unlock the door, just like you said, you pull the handle twice.

Stop complaining about manual seats. Manual seats don't need motors below them, motors that take up space. Motors not taking up space means you can sit lower in the car. Low in the car is best. Also, power seats are heavy and add unnecessary weight. Last point, how often do you really move your seat? I'm the only person that drives my car so the first 5 minutes of owning my car I used the power seats and haven't truly touched them since. It's a pointless feature imo. My E46 M3 had manual seats and I loved them.

Yup. Got an RS3 with the manual seats (there was an electric seat option) and you set the seat once the first time you ever get in it and that's it. I have to move the seat MAYBE once every month or two if I have passengers in the back.

No one ever even seemed to complained that when you get expensive Recaro seats in the current Mustang, that you lose the cooling seats and only have heated. People will always point out the small stuff. It's just added weight if it's really not needed.

The yellow indicator on the inside of the mirror flashes faster when you turn on your turn signal when the blind spot detector senses a car in your blind spot.

This video is incredibly helpful as I’m comparing various luxury performance cars in the used market.

5:42 this is actually pretty nifty, I have it in my old Golf and it helps a lot knowing if you're actually blinking while looking for traffic before turning / changing lanes.

Love the RS3. This video reminded me how much my GTI shares with Audi. Similar steering wheel, same sun roof, infotainment options, some of the interior design cues. Wish it shared that inline 5 though 🤤

This car also has massive potential for power modifications. There is already peeps running 10s with modified RS3s, I can’t wait to pick one up!

Baby WREX Or save lots of money and do what I'm doing when I soon take delivery of my new 2018 Lapiz Blue Metallic DSG Golf R, do a APR Stage 1, 93 octane high torque ECU tune and do the TCU DSG tune. Right there your only 1,200 bucks into mods and your at 370HP and 383Lb-Ft of torque......👍👍👍

Around 14:00 you said the car is limited to 155, I think it's worth noting with the Carbon Ceramic brake package the limiter is raised to 170 something, I believe 174.

I wish we had ring tone choices in our Mazda! The preset tone that rings when a call comes in with the phone on BT is super annoying, and way louder than the audio volume!

GREAT video! I'm a owner in the US and haven't hit 50,000mile/4 year warranty on my 2018 RS3 quite yet. Like many of my fellow RS3 owners around the globe I experienced many of the same annoying quirks/quality issues with the car. I complained about the exhaust noise (it was soooo embarrassing) OVER and OVER and OVER and FINALLY after 2 years the Audi service center (Silver Spring, MD USA) addressed the issue. While I'm not entirely sure what they did, the service tech explained that my entire exhaust system was replaced (and I have shinny new tail pipes to prove it). No more rattling (WIN). Keep in mind they also damaged my car during one of the service appointments and lied to my face about it (it was lifted improperly and it cracked the side skirt). They know what they did. Shortly after, they started video taping all service appointments for all vehicles in the service bay (fucking liars) as a new operational standard. Bitching aside, they also had to address a number of glitches with the cars computers because my Virtual cockpit would just black out for no reason whatsoever. In addition, my steering wheel mounted "wild card button" (as I like to call it) would have to be re-programed OVER AND OVER AND OVER (sometimes multiple times a day). I owned a 2015 S3 and that NEVER happened. They fixed it as well. Don't even get me started on the turbo lag....OMG. All in all...the ownership experience has left me feeling kinda meh, especially when considering its "limited" tech/creature-comfort offerings vs what you pay retail (OHhhhh, and they will make you pay...HAHAHAHAH). I think I'll give Porsche a try for my next automobile purchase because frankly, it doesn't look like Audi is going to be producing anything truly exciting (for us practical daily drivers) for another 10 to 15 years.

I'm pretty sure the RS3 and TT RS can be de-restricted with a performance package to have a top speed of 174 MPH, or 280 KPH. I wonder how it handles at these speeds. Looks like doug has improved his driving portion and also the walk around with an exhaust clip, so thank you doug for listening to us

Gotta love audi, they make & name their models soooo much more simpler than any car company in the world, #perfection

@@francodevaglia123 bmw is very simple a 525i is a 5 series with a 2.5 liter engine and so on and mercedes is also pretty simple and s class being the best and the e class being the least expensive and a s63 would be an s class with a 6.3 liter v8

@@Fit.digital Like a couple decades since the last numbers on bmw's where the engine size. 316d, 318d, 320d and 325d are all 2 litre tdi's. Been more of an indication of engine power rader then the actual size since the 90's

Gotta say, the 2019 RS5 Sportback takes the cake for me. In a few years when it drops in value, i might try to pick it up. I saw it in person this year at the Chicago auto show.
