@@maggs131 He should do his "learning" BEFORE producing a demo video with a ton of misinformation. He wrongfully guessed that the 230 inline six only has 120hp. No, it has 140hp. He called the knob next to the light switch a probable "option". Ah, no, that's not an option. It's the switch for the windshield wipers, which is standard equipment. Then he wrongly assumed that the master cyl on the firewall is the clutch. Further into the video, he wonders if the brakes are hydraulic just because they don't feel the same as his own personal truck. Then he assumes that they're probably hydraulic. Absolutely an amazingly great vehicle for all around use. I own a '69 CST10 with a 350/TH350 automatic, and an 8' box. But a '65 with a 3-on-the-tree and a 230 6-banger will definitely be more of a gas saver. Vids like this sure do make me want a mid-60's one as well, seeing as they're even more simple than the '67-72 Generation, something they got going for them. I'm currently 50 years old now but still only 27-28 in my mind when it comes to driving one of those as well as one of those mid-60s Chevy pick-ups like that one, if I'm out on the interstate in my home state of Washington, heading to Portland, Oregon or Eastern Washington, when the posted speed limit jumps up to 70 mph, that's how fast I'll drive it, unlike most drivers of those trucks these days who are old or even the age group I'm currently in who would just crawl it well below the speed limits everywhere in them. With that said, I religiously keep up things on the suspensions & wheel bearings of those trucks. And it occurs to me that those who actually drive closer up to the traffic speeds on the freeways in those old Chevy Trucks are still a little under the age of 30. And that's one way in which I gladly refuse to grow up from the late 20's age group. And I just left a like and decided to subscribe.

I doubt he even knows there are BIG window and small window c-10's. Probably would take it that "Big window" means the windshield LOL. This dude doesn't know can caa.
Dang... yall really shouldn't be posting "in depth reveiws" when you know nothing about the vehicle.

this was kind of a spontaneous video, not planned or scripted, plus I know more now than I did back then
Really miss my 66 I like to get one I thought I was going to be buried in it I Had a Wife and Kids and my dad moved had to do something with it
I loved it, he did good.
You can double clutch to get into first while rolling. You don't need to as unless you are dead stopped second gear pulls fine. I drove a 56 with a 235 3 speed today.
My brother had a 63. The door was different body style so I guess you could say 61 through 66 same body style but different it would be neat to see each years differences.
0:30. The window you just opened is called wing window. I want one.
Him: blah blah blah YoUr CaR. Something something YoUr CaR. Me: That’s truck is my car😂
this was a real truck - real steel./.. great gas ...low end power for working.
Love that truck
that second knob is the windshield wiper
The kid gets points for his enthusiasm to LEARN about about vintage trucks. You showed us it is cool and fun to operate after much practice, but "why is it a great all around vehicle?" Maybe because it gets (you) noticed everywhere you go, you can actually haul stuff without a $5/gal gas-guzzling V8 and your date can sit right next to you with seat room leftover for your dog to stick their furry face out the window.
Oh my God it got some torque!

Knob is windshield wipers control. 90hp manual brakes.
Here’s a fact that you have to have a key to get into it but you can use a flat screw driver to start it
@marvinaccardo7315

Seriously 😂I just got a 66 c10 long stepside it didn't have any keys so a right sized flat screwdriver would work lol I was going to get a new key switch so I can start working on this old junk truck but if I can get it to work with a screwdriver until I can fix it up enough to run and drive I'll get a new keyswitch
I’m looking at buying a ‘65 C10 rn, it’s a floor shifter unlike this one
What is it?
What about 1960 models?
1965 had synchronized gears 60-63 wasn’t.
60-62 different frame
Wipers next to the lights
He called the master cylinder a clutch. 🤣 Then he burned up that said "clutch". What a Blooper
Its called a wing wing window!

That's a great question! I remember asking him the same thing! He said the truck is very sentimental to him because it was bought new by his grandfather

Brother had a 63 and I thought it was great
Discount Doug DeMuro.
You have to get below 10 mph to drop it down to second while rolling!!
Get that goofball away from that truck.
This guy doesn't know shit. No visibility? Has better visibility than new vehicles
It ok not to know much about classics, but you need to show some respect! Their older than you , and not rolling your eyes about manual windows and wing windows that you didn’t know the name of... P.S. you said you know a lot more now in comments, you spelled “a lot” wrong several times , which is more basic than the truck you reviewed
This is just terrible.

Wtf is a hydroelectric fan? Lol u mean manual lmaoooooooo
