KITT Tuning is making a M8 style bumper for the G20 Pre-LCI and it looks sick. You should check it out

I honestly believe the M340 is the ultimate daily driver. It’s calm and smooth when you want to just commute but if you ever need to get up and go it can accelerate like it’s nothing. The suspension isn’t too overly stiff either, it’s pretty much perfect for any occasion. Personally I like the pre LCI better purely because of the interior layout. The lack of a shift knob as well as all digital climate controls are such a pain to use. It’d be a cool series to watch you LCI convert an older M340!

Well said. I completely agree. There’s also the “cost to own” aspect. If I convert one the cool part is it will still have the more traditional interior but will have the nicer exterior looks!

I could not daily a bmw, interiors are so boring.

Not sure if you know this but even though the m340i isn't as quick compared to the G80 M3 out the box, a downpipe and tune will put you at the same level. The B58 is a beast. Of course the handling will also not be quite there but you can get close with a good suspension setup, bracing, tires, etc. Good video!

I’ve test drove the m340i and I floored it it’s quick but not enough I’ve never driven a g80 but I’m sure it’s faster

Just traded my 21 m340 xdrive for a 24 m2 and I can confirm the 340 feels slower, less planted, and has less character (exhaust/handling) compared to the m2. Also, if you’re looking to just “downpipe and tune” your car, the S58 is a lot more capable than the B58.

Also 20k for .3 .4 of a second for the m3 over 340i . I’d save the cash and get the 340

X3 M40i would be the perfect mix between a SUV and a 340i! You guys have nice car man

an m340i is great. friend got the 23 lci and it’s a great car. but i feel like its too expensive as a third car. obviously budget is different for everyone but in this case, I think a g20 330i with the M sport package (although not necessary), looks great and will be a nice daily. they aren’t priced badly either. around 25-30k with less than 40k miles. at least in my area

I agree with you. For a third car that’s meant to be the day to day runner, I’d rather not spend too much. A 330i pre LCI might work. I can always convert it to m sport but I REALLY wanna convert it to the LCI look 👀

@@mlhspot I'm quite impressed with the 4 cyl on my LCI 330i. It's definitely peppy, you get GREAT gas mileage >40mpg on the hwy. Once you add a little JB+ or even its bigger brother the JB4, you won't miss out on the 6 cyl. Unless you want it to have it. Then, I don't blame you, but you can't go wrong with the B48. Definitely a solid motor and a reliable platform to build from.

I’d for sure go with an M340i. I personally like the front end better on the Pre Lci, but the rear end of the Lci.

LCI is cool but I could never get used to going through a touchscreen menu to change my AC temp, hopefully they bring back the real buttons

The ultimate daily driver would be a 330e with a LCI 340 look conversion. Having recently bought a 530e, the hybrid aspect really adds a lot to regular driving. Not just in saving fuel, but the regen, the silent take-off and the instant torque in traffic. Give one a test drive, as it might what you are looking for.

An M340i or X3 M40i would be a cool F30 replacement

I also like the pre LCI better. The front end looks more aggressive, even tho I do like the rear of the LCI. Both look great.

You can also consider a wagon of some sort for the family

Get a 330d man those cars are extremely powerful and a great family car, as i own one myself

For your idea about converting pre lci g20 to lci g20 is not possible because for lci they added 2 sensors 19-22 has 4 sensors then lci is 6 sensors

330i g20 build would be fire

I would say if you need an SUV, get an X5. Really doesn't get any better in the segment.

Converting it completely is boring just customize to your liking 💪

Equally for money an 840i conversion may be more favourable

G20 330i would be boring no one wants to see you put a sport or lci package on one. I think you should get out of your comfort zone this year. Grab a car that challenges you mechanically instead of the same old front bumper replacing, carbon stuff, etc. Get your family car for sure, and then get a project that you could work on yourself to build thrash blow up! It would make great content and help you grow.

Wym the 330i is boring? 450 whp and similar torque has been made on the b48 platform reliably. That’s impressive by 4 cylinder standards. Don’t believe me look at VehicularDIY’s videos. He owned a g80 m3 too.

I know YOU can make it happen. Life is way too short to not take chances. The build doesn’t have to be one that sits there taking up space, just something to get your hands a little more dirty.
