For the auto brights, leave the lights on auto. There’s a button on your turn signal indicator that can turn that auto brights feature off. It’s under or below the “BC” button.

yep - same on my X5. Auto highbeams can be turned off on the turn signal stalk

My buddy owns a 2019 M240i and got a flash tune for the trans and it is insane, it shifts way faster and more aggressive. You should get it 100% worth it

@@Freshhkiicks I don't think there's a way for auto sifting when you start in the paddle mode. I've forgot a ton to shift assuming it would auto shift when I first got the car and redlined tf out it !

Xhp trans tune is a MUST. As far as lights and etc, if its electrical, it can be coded on a bmw. Bmw are awesome.

BMW are the most overrated cars ever created and Mercedes are no different. Besides EVERYONE owns one of these cars.... If you want a car thats "awesome" just buy a blackwing. They ONLY make 250 a year......And unlike the BMW/Mercedes the motor is built by hand & then autographed.

Get a Bimmercode for with the OBD2 and you can fix almost all your issues and things you don’t like

I've seen fellow supra/B58 owners start rolls in manual mode w/ the paddles, select the gear; then when once you start the pull flip it over to auto to get the cleanest shift

However esp on stock turbo its better to shift manually at around 6300 / 6400. Thats when the turbo starts running out of juice.n

BBS wheels or vossens would look good on the 340i

Tô shift by itself paddle down to desired gear and then when you hit the gas and are ready to shift push the shifter back to Drive

auto start stop and headlights can be coded out with BimmerCode! As far as roll racing and the trans you need to be in manual mode then when you floor you slap it right back into auto and let it do it's thing lmao (supra owner) depending on how you time it you can leave it in auto, downshift and it'll let you stay in that gear for a few seconds. once you're tuned it might let you stay in it longer? also look into XHP (trans flash) as well

@@Eddy-09 redline on these b58 stock turbo isnt the fastest. Fastest is shifting manualy at 6400 1st gear and 6300 for the rest.

@@Eddy-09 yeah try it out bro. My best 0-100 kph time was 3.3 on shitty tires. 1/4 mile 11.07. These were done on E40 + euro 98 fuel pump gas. (Around 530 hp). Xdrive btw. Stage 2+. Start in 2nd gear if you want a faster time. But dont do it too much. Lemme know what you get. And what power are you running? Mi

For that roll race issue, you can go into your preferred gear and right after you floor it, flick the stick over to auto. It'll shift for you but you can pick the gear you wanna start in. At least until you have a solution til you get that addressed

You must get the xhp flashed to your car I got the xhp combo for my f30 335i and I can now flash stage 1, 2, 3 or 4 whenever I want to personally I recommend the stage 3 and you can also add more thing true xhp like true manual mode where the car won't shift gears by it's self when you are using the paddles or the "joystick" You can also turn on revmatching so when you downshift in manual mode the downshifts are more aggressive and crisp and then you can also take the torque limiter off (it only goes off when you turn off traction control and on traction mode if I remember correctly) but thats a thing what I don't use unless im racing someone cause that wears your transmission little bit more.... There are plenty more things you can do through the xhp but this comment is getting hella long so I recommend you checking more from their page.

Sounds like all the problems are solved 1. Keep it in sport mode or code it 2. There’s a comment here that explains how to fix it 3. Downshift in manual mode then put it back to auto mode when flooring

😂💯, I turn of the auto shutoff the first day I got my F80. As far as I know in any Manual mode BMW’s will not up shifts only down shifts. It’s redline every time. As always love the positive vibe 🔥🔥.

@@Eddy-09 i was able to get 36.7 in my 328i in eco mode driving to arizona. i drove from sacramento, filled up a little bit past LA and then had to get gas again once i reached Peoria Arizona.

Welcome to the b58 gang! I own an f80 m3 and a m240i FBO. I must admit, I drive the m240i way more than the f80. Change out the brake pads for a more aggressive set is the first thing I’d do if I were you. Makes a big difference.

I thought that if you put the trans in S your able to lock yourself into a gear then on the hit bump it back into D? (normal drive mode on physical shifter). My tuner has me bump back into D as the tune has less torque reduction in D than when locked into S even know I have auto shift in S while WOT

XHP Transmission Tune is a must once you're tuned, it enables torque configurations and really opens up the car. Bimmercode to code out the auto-stop, takes about 5 minutes I have Bootmod3 as my tune, but I am sure you already done your research! Other then that, it's always cool figuring out all the tech haha! Hope you enjoy your car Kicks and i'd be happy to answer any questions you got! Edit: Im not sure if it applies to your model too, but if you hold down the Left Paddle shifter while flooring it, itll put the car into the right gear for you while flooring it.

When you step on it, push it all the way down and there is a click you will feel on the pedal and it sky rockets your rpm’s 😉 also hold the traction button for bout 10 sec to turn off dsc completely and be able to swing it like you want

if i do that in my 328i there is no click, it also says not to do it in owner's manual☠️. if i floor it, after a few seconds it feels like the car stutters until i ease up.

I had a 18 bmw 340 as a daily for 2 years and it was amazing, not one problem quick as hell and I thru some 295s square and it fit:)

You could code out the the auto start stop and it will only be on when you turn it on you could probably code out the auto brights too to only be on when you want

ngl I love the auto bright for my lights. with 20% tint and having people in on coming traffic, it sucks having to constantly turning it on and off and the sensor shuts off it off when people are driving towards you so it’s great, or any cars ahead really

For the autostop/start, leave your AC on LO and it won’t cut off hahaha

Funny enough when i put a tune on my f30 335i gas mileage went from 25mpg to 30-35mpg! I was fbo minus intercooler too, pretty awesome!

you could go to marc and order a set of bbs some time for the 340i

My friend in his auto 5.0 has it in manual then puts it into automatic as the first “shift” I guess so that way it up shifts when it’s supposed and doesn’t downshift. Idk if it’ll work with the bmw tho

Get the Carly OBD 2 scanner it can turn off auto start permanently. I have it on my 430xi Gran coupe

6:58 3rd day as a BMW driver. Don’t worry we’ll slowly see less and less blinker usage.

In order for it to shift by itself , you start off in manual mode , then once you floor it you throw the shifter back to the right in to drive and it’ll shift the rest of the gears in its own. Even with Xhp that’s how it would have to be done for the car to shift on its own 💪🏽

Man I saw the same color you have in your car in another bmw in Italy , that thing was fire

When using paddles in manual mode, go into your preferred gear then as soon you floor it just slap it back into non -manual drive mode and it should auto shift

Only thing I dislike about the car really is just how much it looks like a base model and there’s nothing super distinguishable about the exterior.

For the start/stop, you can code it off with bummer code for about 5 mins. I know you already mentioned it but I’m just confirming as I’ve done it and it works great!

I wish you would’ve gotten a cla45 instead but it’s still clean.. better mod potential. Interior ain’t shit compared to a Benz tho lol 🤧

Is auto start/stop really that bad? You do get used to it after a while and it does save you ££ overtime. I have it on my M140i and when I am trying to save fuel it does help.

I got a e93 m3 bro and I get like 15.2mph lmfao so yea I feel you on the mpg. These b58 equipped cars are definitely looking nicer and nicer to me.

For the manual thing, all u have to do is put the shifter to the left in full manual mode, downshift and as soon as ur about to hit redline u put the shifter back in it’s normal place and it’ll shift for u

Looking at one right now I'm so excited just recently had a e90 335

the interiors on these are fire fr. if u compare it to a mercedes of the same year u gotta go up to like an s class to have the same features. which is crazy. cuz back in the day the s class features compared to the 7 series, now here they are comparing to the 3 series.

What I do for roll races is leave it in Sport+ move the gear lever over to manual mode in 2nd gear for a 40 roll and then once I punch it on the 3rd honk or whatever you do then I automatically switch it over to the automatic mode and then you should be good. Tricky but works really good when you get the hang of it

Our cars also have a sport individual mode bro. you can set everything up that way to exactly how you like to drive for the roll but leave it in S gear selection all the way to the right Make sure it stays S on the dash and not M it’ll always stay in the lowest gear for rolls and shift the fastest.. Also with sports individual mode you can set up the Pops/burble more aggressively.. Go to your driver settings and individual mode you’ll see what I mean

Yeah bro 4 of our cars have that feature, you gotta turn off the auto-start/stop every time you get in. I hit it right after I put on my seatbelt it's such a routine now

I drove one of these at the dealership i worked at you could hear turbo spooling up and the stock exhaust wasn’t to bad hyped for this build

@@surgesurgee197 the sport transmission is an option in itself, but to do what i explained you just click a paddle to engage manual mode, preferrably with the gear lever flicked into ”S”, and then you can just knock it back into ”D” once you’ve set off and it’ll handle the rest of the shifting for you.
