right when i saw the client close her eyes it made me realize that we don't go to just anybody to do our hair. our hair is precious to the majority of us. it gives us a sense of security and comfort and we all seek those qualities in our stylists. We want someone who will respect and care for our hair the way we do and the way our mothers and grandmothers did when we were children.

Just came across your video, and as a client, I agree 100%. I just had the worst experience with a new stylist.I wouldn't recommend her or her shop. Killing your business is crazy but people do it. Great video. Can you tell me why you twist the hair when parting the hair?

Yes that is so true! Good customer service goes a very long way especially even when it comes to your clients. I am so glad that I was lead to click on this video because me as a braider needed to hear this. Every once in a while I would get that one unsatisfied client who would still complain about everything even if I do the exact style she asks for🤦🏾‍♀️. All I can do is keep praying daily over my business because at the same time you never know what a person is going through or what to expect next. It is definitely important to keep a professional demeanor and a positive attitude at all times inspite of how you feel. By me having a sense of humor I love making it fun and comfortable for my clients. Even with the silly personality that I have everyone else loves it but I do have my limitations lol. Thank you so much for dropping some gems for us. Sorry for the long comment but I had to share and say something on this lol. Her hair is so beautiful by the way I love it!!❤️❤️

Thank you so much for all of this. I am currently looking for a new braider. I wish you were close to me. the girl that braided my hair the last time she was pushing and shoving my head like my head was a ragdoll. The time before that, she left the ends of my braids, looking like big puffy pom-poms and she said it was the kind of hair that I got. Mind you she was the one who told me to get that hair. I ended up having to twist the ends myself. I love watching your videos by the way

This video is soooo needed! I go to a Braider that is really sweet and has mastered her braid skills but girl she is ghetto!!! She talks on the phone, yells at her 7 kids, and have gnats flying around the house! I really like her tho, but I be like girl, damn!😂

Some times some clients are very complicated to work with. How do you deal with such clients. ( constantly checking their phones answering phone calls, touching their hair as you braid, keep on asking you when you will finish as soon as they enter, ask for lots of breaks, brought wrong extensions and refused to buy other extensions, asking to braid while they are sleeping on the floor. We did all she asked for but still she gave us a terrible review.

im so sorry to hear that i know it can be soooo frustrating dealing with people... sometimes you have to just find ways to politely enforce your rules and policies, and refuse to service some who cant comply with them. Maybe you could try explaining why some of these things are an inconvenience. For example saying that when they keep looking down or touching their hair, it slows you down and will add on time to their service (maybe even say it might cost more). It might mean less business for you at first, but it will help in the long run because you'll be able to attract certain clientele that don't cause those kinds of problems. I love everything about this....poor customer service and being inconsiderate of my time is the reason why I learned to braid my own hair and that was over 10 years ago when I started doing it myself. Its sad this is still a issue and prices are 3x what they were then! I really appreciate you talking about this and the style came out amazing!🤎
