    I've used many different nutrients over the years, dozens of them. Currently I'm running a tent on Remo nutrients and a tent on Flora nutrients. I've grown with both of these many times, and I'll be honest first few years I was following the charts and pumping these plants full of everything they told me too. Then I started listening to everyone saying plants do not need all that and I just had trouble understanding because my plants had always been very healthy with minimal issues. I decided I'd try a run and pretty much cut all their feeding recommendations in half. I'm now in week 7 of flower with some of the best wedding cake I've ever seen! The plants are so healthy, and they have stacked more than any other run I've ever done and the only thing I've done different is lower the feeding. Every plant is different, and they'll talk to you, but you have to be willing to listen! Happy Growing!

    When you have your own acreage, it's easy to gather the necessary ingredients to build your own stuff. Just lift up a few items laying around and start gathering. Raking up leaf molds and microbes make a wonderful mix for your soil. You'd pay big bucks to have someone manufacture what you can get straight from the creation itself. It's fun too. :)

    Humboldt Secrets Flower Stacker is the highest bloom booster I use. I rely more on the good bio-stimulants and microbial life along with wollastonite for silica and calcium. As long as I'm giving the girls and soil a good variety they will take up what they need as much as they possibly can. Pretty much only thing I do in flower is slowly cut back on nitrogen then start giving Flower Stacker after the third week. Oh yeah I also water with a higher PHed water in flower stage than I do in the vegging stage (even in organic)...

    When I first started growing, I bought most of the lineup of Advanced Nutrients. I did an experimental crop testing the various products. The plants that got everything (3 part, big bud, overdrive, bud candy, bud factor x, nirvana, b-52, bud ignitor, voodoo juice) were not much different from the plants I just gave the 3 part. Bud candy and bud factor x made no real difference in terms of yield, flavor or potency. B-52 is the biggest waste of money in the entire lineup. The ones I would recommend are the 3 part, big bud, and overdrive. The voodoo juice works well too. Bud ignitor is expensive but does alright and you don't use much of it so it lasts a long time. I'm pretty sure something like guano can replace the Nirvana. Moving forward, I plan to replace the AN lineup with cheaper alternatives.

    What do the plants use? I've read that plants in general use a N - P - K ratio of 3 - 1 - 2. More nitrogen, less potassium and even less phosphorus. And phosphorus can build up in the soil eventually. I do organic so I've been looking at all the different ratios of different nutes and I see that quite a few are high on the P and not so much on the K. To me now that is just a waste. Something 4-9-2 is too heavy on the P and most of that P will not be used by the plant. So I've been using my homemade dried banana peel powder, 0-0-11, to bring up the K in the ratio into something useful. Seems to work great. And cheap. Costs nothing.

    We use P-K boosters at week 6-7 of an 8 week strain. It literally doubles the mass as opposed to not using them. We also use glucose not as sap booster but it does have that affect but to boost the microbes uplift. • @hanshurnanen7402
    @hanshurnanen74022 ай бұрын

    First part you talk how useless PK booster is, but in end you admit when you use A+B type nutrients you want that PK booster to change formula... Your info is sometimes really confusing when you talk about flower phase need less nitrogen and then you talk about using nutrients that has none of it and that's one mistake I think... They need less nitrogen I agree; but they still it need for basic stuff when they flower of course. But good thing you bring up organic boosters like kelp, but there is more organic good boosters that are extracts from marine plants or ground plants which are actually better for flowering if you google why you don't want kelp at flowering stage or atleast not whole time of it you find reasons why(in short terms it is insane chlorophyll increasement and is alternative organic hormone for plant when it dosn't have enough of its own, its long topic) , mean while other plants extracts does that job better in many different way. >I think we are confusing this topic also for soil growers and soil less growers when it comes to amounts and metabolism. Then there is this Triacontanol known as melissyl alchohol which can be used as foliar spray and it's organic growth promoter and can be used in any type of growing medium because it's foliar spray, that being sayd I woudn't recommend it since you can only get it as powder form from china only nowdays, but I know stuff works because my country had this crazy bio professor who made product of it which included everything in it that plant wont get intoxicated from it and can drain it really fast from leaves, what it basicly does is just improve plant normal metabolism without directly changing it like synthetic growth promoter does. But while using Triacontanol you really must feed nutrients all the time. Sadly company which made this product ended working at start of year after 30+years.. : With all that increase of course CO₂ in air and O2 in roots are needed to see difference which are other fundamentals of photosynthesis, never can leave 1 fundamental lower then other, and I know it's hard to keep up CO₂ levels in home grow enviroment unless going really expensive way, but actually getting few bags for 1m² or 3 for 2m² will produce enough to bring up levels higher, depending how your out take air works because it can bring it back too from outside of tent and leaving hot O2 into upper air which has slower intake fan into outdoors and letting CO₂ drops bottom where it's taken again into tent from side. I should draw picture how it works. And of course O2 can be added easily into water even with hand watering.

    Off topic. I see videos of people's grows with 500-1000 watt LEDs in a 4×4 with the light 12-24 inches from the canopy and the nodes are about 4 inches apart. I'm starting early for outdoor in a 3×6 closet lined with aluminum foil. I have 2 Lowes boostgrow 105 watt and one 85 watt all full spectrum. From research i came up with i kept light 24 inches from plants. My nodes were 1/2 inch apart. Over time i moved the light to 48 inches above canopy and my nodes are 2 inches apart. Everything is green and looking good and about 3ft themselves above dirt. They would be monsters if all nodes were 3=4 inches apart. Why with cheap less powerful LEDs do i seem to get more light than these more powerful light set-ups? I thought i would have had to keep the lights right up to the plants to prevent too long of stretch between nodes. Not complaining, just dont understand. I wasn't thinking starting 16 that early, 6 barely fit now, and i get to get up early everyday to put the others outside and in at night if too chilly. They will be in ground next week. Usually i do 2 outside and have more than enough, even with sharing, till next harvest, starting the seeds in May. Gonna be a good year. Nutrient water in 6.3 ph and comes out 6.3. I tested nutrient levels in soil and everything is spot on.

    100 % right, wich is surprising, i would never had believe to see this when cliking on the crazy face thumbnail but finaly someone that makes sens. Plants only need CHONPS atoms, mostly from co2, water, sulfate and phosphore from the soil. Best nitrogen source comes froms bacteria/fungi but some mineral source can be realy good too. after strech, plants need more PK, less N, during all life, some metals froms spiruline or from minerals (iron sulfate, calcium chloride, etc... magnesium, copper and bore) Thats literrally all , everything else is hazardous or expensive, maybe fulvic acids, betaine/ glycine and silica can improve health of plants and maybe maybe co2 for certain big production, nothing more ! +

    The thing is; much of what Scotty said at the start is actually false. There are many years of research where several universities have determined the ideal ratio for Cannabis. Nitrogen is required in the same quantities throughout grow and flower with the caveats that secondary metabolites will be reduced if optimal N is received. P and K are actually required less in flower as well as Ca. Mg and S are required in slightly higher quantities. A bloom booster to me is something that enhances flowering. Products that contain free amino acids or polysaccharides like Chitosan are interesting as it's looking like they actually enhance the end product. Also, stay away from the humic and fulvic acids in flower as they steer the plants to produce chlorophyll rather than trichomes. You will have lovely massive plants that are not as potent.
