Y'all should have seen him when he was 15. He bowled a sweeper at Forum Bowl in Grand Prairie, TX. He got in all the brackets and won $5,000.00. I was bowling something different there. He was outside waiting for his Mom to pick him up. I said to him, " Your gonna be a star one day!" I knew him from Plano Super Bowl. He, Anthony and Sean Lavery-Spahr use to work there together. Anthony Lavery-Spahr use to work in the Proshop and drill my equipment. I think Dino Castillo owned it but can't remember for sure. The last time I've seen Simo, Who we use to call Little Anthony, I bowled with and against him in a regional in Greenville, TX. He's amazing.

in my junior times i was playing against francois lavoie every tournament and i also had the chance to play a game with parker bohn and patrick girard and brad angelo they were guess for the provincial tournament that was hosted in my familly bowling center that year so after the bowling center closed for custumer we had a small party in the bowling center with them , i can confirm that parker bohn is one of the nicest people in bowling
Loved the behind the scenes stuff, Darren's enthusiasm as a fan, cheering on his mates, also that first minute with them all relaxing in the break room just messing around killing time with Belmo just messing around with them also.

Simo is the coolest dude ever. I'm a mechanic in rowlett and I was stuck on some problem with fuses and wiring on a gsx. He sat on FaceTime with me for a good 15 minutes walking me through the problem and how to fix it. Such a down to earth guy.
SIMO made this pattern look like a house shot and we bowled on this pattern at OUR masters this last weekend and he makes it look so completely different it’s insane

I love the way you freely talk about your opponents with praise, class, respect and enthusiasm. My son and I have been bowling for just over a year. After my wife & his mother passed away. I figured we could spend more time together and we both enjoyed it. He started to watch your KZread channel and then he was hooked.Thank you,we are extremely grateful for the sport and we are thankful for moving here to Las Vegas. For what it’s worth we are big fans of you and your style. Good luck and Stay strong -Jadester and Evanator
We’ll be seeing you bowling for the next title! Believing in you DTang.
What a fantastic video to watch with the nail biters. Thank you for giving us a glimpse of the tour life!!
Man I'm gonna have to watch more of your videos if only for the comment section...lol. I also got a good chuckle out of the title then Belmo is the first person you show. Good stuff man. And Simo is flat rolling it! Good luck man.
Love these kind of videos, keep it up!
Good stuff! Thank you for sharing!
Great to see all the guys there supporting each other.
That aiming play with the basketball can develop into a new double handed front power release throw. (I saw a special bowler girl doing that throw for an instant power strike). Boom!😊
845 series. 281 average. Nuts. I don't think I can get to that in 5 games haha. I love what he said after his win. Kimberly asked how he is dominant this year not finishing outside the top 10. With 2 tournament wins. He said I practiced a ton before the season. Now i know you all do but something definitely clicked with him. Anyways the world series is gonna be nuts. Good luck hope to see you on TV a few times Darren!
Listening to you guys talk about Simo mad me laugh out loud! Appreciate the great content
Volunteered on the low end and by far, the Keven Williams, Simo match was off the charts. Both undefeated, they just threw haymakers at each other. Final was like 730 to 720. In qualifying I watched Simo throw it straight and fast, medium with a little belly and slow hook the entire lane, all in the same game for like a 240.
Can't wait to bowl this when I get older! Especially against Russ Oviatt, he's a guy I know and look forward to best in the future!
Sick bayside hat !! Maine loves the tang
Have you ever bowled with Bill O'Neil? He was one of my favorite bowlers to watch growing up, and I have one of his jerseys that he signed and an autographed picture that he sent me when I was sick in the hospital as a kid.
ive been watching videos to get better at bowling and have seen a few of kyles videos not knowing how high up he was. nice to see
That match between Kyle and Chris was epic!
The Tang's vs Brad and Kyle in a doubles match is what we all want to see
Your physical game looks very good to me, better than many of the bowlers who are having better years than you in the young season. You are one of the most fluid bowlers to watch, and I particularly enjoy watching you shoot spares. You are one of the very best one handers. If you keep doing what you are doing, you will probably be very successful when you hit the right matches for your game, oil patterns, equipment, and moves. Unfortunately the prize funds are way too low. Keven has excellent form shooting a basketball.
but yooooo belmo with the tekkers !!! ⚽️⚽️⚽️🔥🔥🔥
I believe in you!
Kyle had such a great run this tournament. Was very fun to watch!
Nice video. I noticed at the 5 minute mark in the video it was almost 2:30pm and then at the 5 minutes and 15 second mark in the video it was now 2:15pm. Nice editing. lol
Darren you should try making the switch to two handed or test it out more and see how you like it.
Love that the best bowler in the world was in the mix!
Cool tech bowling Darren tang
Of course, I'm thinking...what cinema did they get that JBL 4507 LF cabinet speaker from and how did they rig it up there (in the game room, at the beginning of the video)? That is a particle board cabinet and normally not suitable for rigging. Hopefully, it is reinforced at the rig points.
Nobody is better than Earl Anthony RIP.... He was truly the GOAT.
Chris is so smooth with it.
From my perspective, Simonsen is the most versatile bowler on tour. Massive career ahead of him

The magenta idol is the best ball I’ve had, Simo’s Arsenal is perfect

Given that Belmo won a major this year hard to say that. EJ Tackett is bowling better than anyone - 225.83 average on PBA shots. yikes
The way I roll the ball keeps me way inside the ball which gives me more than enough to carry.
Thank you Norwegian ancestry for giving USA such a good bowling player.
Must have been super slick for two handers to use surface relatively straight up the lane.

Is an advantage of the 'two-handed' delivery that the other hand helps to keep the ball in closer to the same position for each roll more than the traditional 'one-handed' delivery?
@kevinyoung1194

The main advantage is the extra power it generates. Most 2 handers are in the 500+ range in revolutions, where only a few one handers are over 500.
Kyle bowled his ass off
I am going to learn to bowl 2 handed been bowling one handed since I was 5 years old
Deo is a machine...
Simo is easily tied for my fav 2 hander with Osku Palermaa (ik Osku hasn't won as much as Simo, but I've loved him since the 2014 Japan Cup). He is so accurate, so versatile, and soooooooo entertaining to watch. Like Michael said, he's a mix of Norm, PDW, and Belmo. If I could bowl half as good as Simo, I'd be happy with how far I've come. That being said, I aspire to one day be better than him, so I'm studying this man's every shot
@Ironfangzu
7 ай бұрын
You don't realize it..but you are probably at least half as good as Simo. What would Simo bowl in a league with a house shot? 260? 275? He could throw every ball dead flush into the pocket (which he probably would), and he would be some bad-break ring 10, or high flush ring 9's. So he wouldn't average 300. No one can. One tap and you have a 279. 2 taps, and you're looking at possibly 260 or less. Meanwhile, you can probably bowl 140 with your eyes closed. (I am assuming that you are probably a 200+ average bowler). So, there you go. Simo bowls a 279 and you throw a 150, easily better than HALF as good as him, haha.
@ianhoneycutt3858
7 ай бұрын
@@Ironfangzu While I greatly appreciate the kind words, I beg to differ. I'm not talking about house shots and stuff; anyone can average 230 on a house shot. In an 8 game sport shot tournament, I'd be lucky to shoot 1600. Where as Simo is looking at a minimum of 2000 on a BAD day. I can average 200 on house all I want, but every night I make mistakes: I miss spares, I throw errant shots, I make the wrong adjustments, I ball change after a 230 when I have no reason to (literally happened last night. Game 1 was a 233, and I make a stupid ball change from a UC3 on a house shot to a Gem of all balls, and I shoot 170. Then, after I decide to go back to the UC3, I shoot a 234). Whereas Simo, on the other hand, had a 94% spare accuracy throughout the entire season, which, btw, is better than my DAILY average. He will maybe throw 2-3 bad shots a night, as opposed to my 2-3 bad shots a GAME. So yes, while in theory I am technically "half as good" as him for one game, half as good as him career wise would still mean a major title, and probably about an 80ish% spare game for a season.
Long live discord squad !
what layout did Anthony have on that exotic gem

Have to wait and see how the rest of the year plays out first. Definitely the man to beat but Belmo, Tacket will in my opinion have a say in whose the best, not that mine matters much. 😂🤣.
Someone please tell me why Keven shoots basketballs like a right hander but bowls as a lefty.
Guess I've been in a hole. When did two handed bowling become a thing?

Belmo was the first player that I heard of popularize the two handed style. If you do a little research, there was a guy named Chuck Lande who bowled 2 handed in the 80's.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Simo will likely be forced to retire before Belmo is done bowling. Simo gets really low on his shots and parallels his back to the floor even sometimes. This is really bad for a couple of reasons. He puts a lot of force into his swings (which is overall good). However, he doesn't raise up off the shot at the end to relieve the pressure this would otherwise exert on the lower back. This will likely result in serious back pain and potential injury over the years if he doesn't work on that part of his game. The good news is that he's relatively young and fairly short for a man. This will help him overcome some of it, however, the writing is on the wall if he continues this way. I wish him all the best and continued success in the future. Jason Belmonte is obviously the greatest thing to happen to bowling since lane oil. He fathered the style in which Simo uses and has pretty much mastered it. I won't waste the time typing all of Bemo's accolades. However, I doubt there will be anyone else in my lifetime to impact the sport not just in performance and wins but innovation and inventing a style of bowling that's hands down the best performance version of bowling yet.
