I worked in Libya for many years. Libya was a very liberal country. Education was provided to both male and female. Women could drive and work quite freely and the nation was prosperous In all of the years I worked in Libya I never felt worried or threatened. It was an extremely safe place to be. I also add that Libyan people are some of the politest and friendliest people The uprising ruined a lot of people’s lives Sadly I don’t think I’ll ever see Libya again now

I also read that if you needed medical treatment that the country could not provide. They paid for you to go to whatever country and get treatment with a family member.

I am glad to see that the defenders of these people are such morons. It means they will go nowhere. Gaddafi dealt harshly with dissent. Some people were doing a demo outside his London embassy. His men opened fire on the crowd with automatic weapons from inside the Embassy, killing several and wounding a lot more. In Libya it was even worse. The original office of the dictator in Ancient Rome was quite different, actually. Dictators were appointed, and while they had a lot of authority, their powers were still limited. The office was also time-limited. The purpose was to solve specific problems, not to subjugate an entire nation. Some dictators, like Sulla, were considered tyrants during their lifetime, but many were not and the word "dictator" did not have the derogatory meaning it has today.

Franco was moved to the place where he wanted to be Buried next to his dear wife where they both decided to be Buried before death. Only that after his death at that time the King Juan Carlos Decided to do something different. This is why The socialist government was able to move Franco. @@fatonyalmitchell3281 he was the first and only ruler to provide clean, free water to his entire nation, upon marriage new couples were given a non repayable grant to assist in them getting onto the property ladder and to help with starting a family, unemployment was acceptionally low, crime was acceptionally low, and his subjects were happy. It was only when the UN wanted Libya to have a more active role in the international community and gadaffi declined instead prioritising his own nation and people that they switched themes and made him out to be a bad person.

Most people can't admit it, but the fascist economic policies are the best any political ideology has to offer for the common working man. Fascism derived from trade unionism, after all. There is a reason why Wintson Churchill and Ghandi claimed Mussolini as best statesmen to ever live, prior to entering a conflict of course.

@@HooDatDonDar No. Its because democracies lack any accountability. You don't actually know who rules over you. All presidents and prime ministers are puppets, nothing more. With a figurehead, it is much easier to point mistakes to them.

I just found out that today (April 15th) is the anniversary of the death of Pol Pot. It's also the anniversary of President Abraham Lincoln's death as well. Man, I didn't know this day was so meaningful in that way.

Adolf Hitler, the dictator of Nazi Germany, survived death and assassination attempts countless times. When he was a baby, he almost drowned in a river, but was saved by a priest walking by. During World War I, he was injured badly. A British soldier was tempted to shoot Hitler, but didn't, because he felt bad that Hitler was so hurt already. He was so determined to live to see the rise of his ideal country and world, but didn't get to. He took the coward's way out.

Put them in a Giant Coffee Grinder and hit the High Speed button. There followers even in death still fear their leader. Fear is not respect, it is just fear. That is how these guys achieve power and hold onto it. By creating fear it is much easier to keep people somewhat in control or to lead them down a path you want them to take (like cattle on a farm!).
