Hey Sam I got a few more blue spray cans. If you want we can paint the rest of the car😅

It sure looks like it could use a full paint job, but if you do make him promise to park it in a garage not a field. Maybe he can loan it to his stepmom ;)

Why wouldnt u just try non ethanol gas 1st? And just run it with premium

Why not replace them when there's a TSB to replace them, they're 30 years old, and replacements (non oem) are basically dirt cheap given the cost of everything these days? You can get Bosch V8 injectors for various makes quite cheap. Ebay is full. I ran BMW M62TU V8 injectors on my 1986 535i. Other guys use mustang 5.0 injectors. Some injectors don't go bad often. For those 6 bucks a pop at a junkyard give or take.

Having helped build your ZR1 at the Bowling Green plant, I have enough Corvette memorabilia, including that model car. Just glad to see one of my babies back on the road.

This ZR1 was an amazing journey and so worth saving. It was awesome to watch.
Thank you Sam for sharing those heartfelt memories with you Uncle Pete. I was a friend of Pete's. He delivered to my restaurant for many years. Such a great guy. What a surprise after watching your channel for years to see my friend Peter pop up. I can tell he meant a great deal to you. I got a little choked up at the end. I was nice to spy the Cobra in the garage. I remember when he got it. Lucky SOB. What a great guy and a wonderful tribute. Thank you
Congrats on completing the ZR1, Sam! RIP to Uncle Pete, I'm sure he would be thrilled that you finally have your own ZR1.
Sam will always be the OG youtube builder. This vette is so sweet!
God bless uncle Pete! I must be honest, hearing you talk about him legit made me emotional. My grandfather got me into cars. As a kid I remember visiting and he was always working on and old Lincoln or Ford. He’s the one that really made me want to be around cars. He definitely passed that passion to my father as well who passed it on to me. A lot of people don’t understand “car guys” but I think at the core of it many of us love what we love because we loved the people who introduced us to it. Hats off to uncle Pete and congrats on the excellent work getting that ZR1 running and saving it from a scrapper.
Sam, love the story of Uncle Pete! My father was very similar about cars when I was growing up. He passed in 21 from complications from COVID. He had a 09 Cadillac CTS that sat in his garage for 3 years without driving it before he passed. It had 27,000 miles but needed a bunch of work just to get it on the road. I love this car because I feel close to him when I'm sitting in the driver seat and remember when he'd say things like keep you feet on the mat, don't slam the doors, don't squirm in the leather seats etc. Man he loved his cars to a fault, but I loved that about him! I love all things cars because of him for sure! I'll keep the CTS for as long as I can keep it on the road, thanks pop and thank you Sam for the story of your Uncle Pete. God bless you my friend and keep doing what you do on your channel!!!
I hear ya, Samcrac. those ZR1s are Special. Uncle Pete must’ve been a real cool dude. we’re lucky to have those guys when we’re coming up. they inspire, teach & impress us with their badass taste in cool rides. my Uncle Bud has always kept his garage full with 2-3 Corvettes, 10+ Motorcycles & stacks of Hustlers, so that was always where I wanted to be. nowadays, he’s in poor health, but asks me to come by & drive or ride his fleet to keep them functioning. it sucks that he can’t go out with me, but I know it makes him happy to see me happy. RiP, Uncle Pete…you started our dude off on his journey to educate & enrich many. cheers, Samcrac
What an awesome tribute, Rip Uncle Pete.❤
Very cool story about your uncle Pete. Cars, motorcycles, even tools that get passed down are more than just things. They carry memories that keep us connected across generations.
I own a 93 ZR-1 black on black and I kind of like how underrated they are. I never plan to sell, but it's nice when I take it to a car show and people who really care get excited. It's not like some skyline that every young kid knows of. Your Uncle Pete had great taste!
I definitely agree that the Corvette ZR1 is a special car. I own a 2019 ZR1 and it's unlike anything I've ever experienced. It is now my life goal to experience ALL of the ZR1s!
My Uncle Mac was a vette guy. I'll never forget him. So glad to hear your story about Uncle Pete.
That paint technology is pretty impressive 👍
RIP Uncle Pete ... and thanks Sam for your persistance and dedication to this project... appreciated 👍
That's great you and Uncle Pete connected thru the Vett. Great memories you can never replicate !!
RIP Uncle Pete!
That's a great story about your uncle. You're a great tribute to him.
In all seriousness, Sam, you should be really proud of this build. You sorted out the mechanicals, but you need to see it through to complete restoration. The car deserves it, and there’s Uncle Pete. Cheers Brother!
This was one hell of a build with a truly touching story.
Big respect to Uncle Pete.
Great episode Sam. We all have that one person that made us car guys. Peter seemed to be your car guy.
Great story about your uncle, glad that you got the ZR1 running properly
Uncle Pete would be proud that you finished this one.
God bless Uncle Pete. Thanks for being such a positive car influence on our Sam.
Your Uncle Pete tribute was quite touching!! Wonderful content as always!
Thanks for the backstory and clips. Hits a guy from just outside the D right in the solar plexis. Uncle Pete had good taste in cars and a cool nephew. The ZR1 is a super sweet save Sam, good job bro.
A very sweet tribute to a man who was a big influence in your life. May he rest in peace.
Beautiful tribute to the man that stRted youre passion, and you beautifully reignited his. Thank you uncle pete
0:53 Sam do I hear you making a William Montgomery reference?
Was not expecting that ending! I remember watching this video when a was a janitor for a school. Boy has time flown by. Congrats to your success and rip to Uncle Sam!
I am sure your Uncle Pete is proud of you. You did great Sam
Uncle Pete sounds like a hell of a guy. I would have loved to meet him. I’m fortunate to have my dad, who’s also a car guy like us, and we talk about em every chance we get.
Awesome tribute to your Uncle Pete! My Uncle Pete would have to be my stepfather. He showed me there wasn't anything that couldn't be fixed or re-purposed.
Guys like uncle pete knew the value of thing. Cars,or relationships he knew when to get you interested. That kind of love and patience is rare these days. These men knew how to treat and appreciate what they had unlike todays cars that are just throw away like so many other things we buy. Thanks unc. We appreciate what you did for sam. I'm sure he's smilin now. Enjoy sam
What an awesome relationship you had with your Uncle Pete! He really helped shaped you into the car guy you are today. Cheers to him.
A tremendous amount of work went in to this classic. Excellent job. Sounds really cool. Even after 30 years it still looks great. And yes, I like the color. 👍
RIP uncle Pete. A true inspiration.
Sam, What you said about your Uncle was beautiful I am so truly sorry to hear about your Uncle Pete passing away I bet he is smiling down on you from heaven watching you finish the beautiful Corvette ZR1.
this is one of the best projects from you so far. so glad you saved a rare corvette
Rock On Uncle Pete! Sam has honored you well with the ZR1 rebuild!
That’s a classic car for sure. That motor is amazing. Glad you saved it.
Sam as always great stories throughout, the best today is the story of Uncle Pete. Everyone should have an Uncle Pete looking after them... 👍
Love, love, love the story about your Uncle Pete. What a perfect tribute this build has been. Hats off! He reminds me a bit about my own grandfather who taught me never to be afraid of wrenching on my own car ❤
RIP uncle Pete !!! Beautiful car Sam, loved watching these videos and enjoyed hearing your inspiration about it
Sam, Good Job!!! Saving this iconic Corvette.
I AINT NEVA GONNA STOP watching these videos
Beautiful story about your uncle. Congrats on finishing a project. Is this the first one since Alex finished your lambo??
Sam, my grandfather gave me my first vehicle when I was 15. A '68 C10 short bed step side, it was a family truck since it was new. I got it running and drove it for a couple years until I could afford something more modern. I'm restoring it now at 44 years of age. The emotional connection we have to cars can last a lifetime. Enjoy that Corvette, he's in there with you!
Cool story about your Uncle and his influence on your car journey. Glad you didn't give up on the old ZR1.
Glad you finally got her all lined out and time to get it cleaned up and let it live on
Cheers to Uncle Pete! What a great man to create such wonderful memories with you! Great job Sam! Way to finish this one out!
It’s extremely tough nowadays to find vintage parts. Regardless of model and make. Great job on the resurrection! 👏🏻 Kudos to your uncle for being a positive influence in your life. This one’s for you Uncle Pete! 🍻
It's really admirable that relatively small to medium-sized craft businesses have such very good and modern equipment! RESPECT!
loved your story about your uncle Sam, I am sure he had as much fun with you as you had with him!
Thanks for all the great stories, repairs, and builds. For Uncle Pete ❤
That was a very sweet dedication to your Uncle at the end. I can tell you really loved and admired him very much. There is a kid out there somewhere that is being influenced by this channel in the same way that you were influenced by your Uncle.
You made me tear up a bit when i heard the warble in your voice. Thanks for the videos, Sam. And thanks to Uncle Pete and all the other cool car guy uncles that got the next generation of car people fascinated with the rolling art that we love.
Sam you're awesome thanks. May Uncle Pete live on
Such a great video, Sam. I'm pretty sure the last part was difficult to complete, but it was very touching and beautiful. Thanks for sharing - and congrat's on fixing the ZR1 - you've made Uncle Pete especially proud!
Thank you Uncle Pete from the bottom of my heart for influencing this amazing awesome young man. Love your channel SO MUCH Sam. Step Mom is overdue.
Smile on his face running through the gears says it all.
I wish I had an uncle Pete in my life ! He was so cool !
such a great story Sam.... thanks for sharing... you have made him incredibly proud!
I love hearing the connection of family and cars or motorcycles. My dad and I had that bond and I lost him 6 years ago. Awesome stories about uncle Pete. I’m sure you made him proud!
Thanks for the tribute to Uncle Pete. He is looking at us from heaven and smiling :)
Memories like that are golden. His ZR1 is beautiful.
Sorry for your loss Sam, prayers to you and all of yours. Losing a great family member or any is a hard thing and you really are a great guy no matter what anyone says, you share your life with us (the car stuff and more) and that makes you a hero. You're family friendly and have a great sense of humor. May Uncle Pete's memory live on forever, and may he Rest in Peace.
Fantastic car! I'm so proud of you for sticking with it and getting this beauty back on the road and driving correctly. Thanks for the story about your Uncle Pete... he sounds like he was a great guy.
one of the few car restoration channels i can watch, mainly because Sam acknowledges his flaws & doesn't think the sun shines out of his rear

My condolences to you for your loss of Uncle Pete, he would be proud of the awesome sound during acceleration of your ZR1!
For sure I know your uncle is looking at you very proud of the incredible human being and KZreadr you are. Bringing good quality entertainment and teaching us how to fix cars. Thanks 👍
Awesome videos, fantastic tribute to your Uncle Pete. Sounded like a hell of a guy.
Thanks Uncle Pete!! it was Fun to come along.
Been waiting for you to finish this build. Was great to see you get a bit of a shock when it stepped out on you.
Definitely a car to hang on to may uncle Pete rest in peace 🙏
This guys content never gets boring
Much respect to you & your Uncle Pete! Great story, reminds me of my father in law and his classic Jags. He left us with his 1952 Jag XK120 Coupe when he passed at age 92, gorgeous car, a blast to drive, and it has won 3 trophies so far at local area car shows. Thanks for a cool video series, Sam, and bless your uncle in heaven, he is smiling down on you for sure!
Rest in Peace uncle Pete. Sam, this was a wonderful show of love to him!
Hey buddy, I subbed to both your boys. But more than anything, I wanted to say I loved your story about uncle Pete. As someone with almost zero extended family it’s heart warming to hear you wax nostalgic over him. You’re a good dude. Thanks for your content.
Nobody can touch you on KZread. The sheer production of the videos is just so enjoyable to watch. Great job on this one and honoring your uncle.
❤ RIP Uncle Pete, I’m positive he is there with you every time u are working on a project car.
I'm sure your uncle was proud of you thats why we always need to be thankful for everyone and everything thats important to us good job Sam
Sam, what a great wrapup; props to everyone that helped you on your rescue, a what a great story about Uncle Pete. Now I've got another video to go watch!
Let us pray to the car gods that sam doesnt ruin another corvette🙏
Sam, thanks for the tribute, we all have Uncle Pete's in our lives. You are truly a re-Pete.
Congrats on finishing it up. It looks and sounds great!
Dang dude, I was blown away by the color matching @kandyman5315 did in his shop, that was amazing, props to him. I like how he added at the end he'd do just 1 part JUST FOR YOU, I know shops don't like doing that, haha.
I’ve never really been a fan of the c4 but the ZR1 really is pretty sweet. It’s not fast by todays standards but cars don’t need to be “fast” to be fun! We are far too concerned with hp numbers and 0-60 times. It’s great seeing you enjoy your ZR1!
I'm not a big fan of Vettes, but I love the idea of saving an old car like this. Congrats on getting the old girl running well again.
What an amazing tribute! Been following the progress like most others and to see it finished and then to have an amazing story at the end made this the best series you've put out so far!
Those last word about Pete really got my emotions started. Thank you for sharing, Sam.
That paint matching gear is tremendous. And that is a MIGHTY car.
Nice job Sam, and I bet Uncle Pete is smiling down from heaven now! Slainte, DC
RIP Uncle Pete, I could see your emotions at the end. The love of cars builds the strongest bonds!
I appreciate you hard work and dedication in restoring these challenging projects.
