I have the 2018 hyundai accent ! The gas mileage is amazing. The speakers beat really good , they sound like an actual system in the car , there is more moveable room than what was explained. Its very easy to drive and control and some times the car is so quiet i cant even tell if it is running. The air conditioner and heat will run you out the car , it is that good. And the trunk space is awsome. Love the backup camera as well. I would recommend it. I love mine !

Have you had any problems with your 2018 Accent ? I had a 2004 Accent, it ran great for the first 40,000 miles then it went downhill really fast. Of course I'm sure there is a world of difference between a 2018 and a 2004 model.

Yes actually you’ll fit it very well than most other cars. I’m 6 7 and drive it very comfortably. Get 2018+ models only

Thank you for your review! I have a 2022 on order. They have gotten expensive in Brandon's world and the new Versa has much more safety tech but I think the Accent has had all the bugs worked out of it and that is when I like to buy a car. I am sure they will redesign it for 2023. I would go the Versa but Hyundai's warranty and 3 years free maintenance gives some help when you have to pay full MSRP or above.

*I agree Dave, the Admiral Blue looks great.* In my opinion, the 2018 Hyundai Accent is the best looking, most artistically designed, well balanced, and affordable subcompact car ever produced. Hyundai did everything right for a minimalist design that is elegant and has substance and gravitas. When all the bells and whistles break down in more expensive cars, the Accent will still be running with few repair bills. Owners will be smiling after five years of ownership instead of gasping at a long list of repairs for crap you did not even need in the first place. What will it cost to fix a heated seat or a self driving feature? Will you even be able to get the right parts?

Only Dave can pull off a one-man doublemint twin commercial, by himself.

Nice looking car for the Money

Bought my 2012 Accent base model brand new, 172,000 miles later and only minor upkeep..brakes, tires, oil change and tune up at 100,000....all while averaging outstanding fuel economy of about 37 mpg per year. No complaints at all!!!

Great review! I have this car, it is actually a really good car for the money. I got the limited trim, same color, push button start, keyless entry, sunroof, heated seats, 7" display etc. I've gotta say, this car is definitely one of the best in the class. It's fun to drive, it's nimble, stiff, and is quick. Yes, the power ratings seem very unimpressive, but coming from a person who lives in the mountains of Colorado, trust me. If it can climb the mountains all the way towards Vail and still manage to pass traffic, it's power is very decent. It's front seats are comfortable, but like he said, for rear seat passengers, plan accordingly. Fuel economy is decent, I average 29 mixed, but take into account I'm climbing a mountain daily in this thing. It's good in the snow, and feels very safe with all the safety features, the auto brake works great BTW 😉. I love my car. I'm very happy with it. Thumbs up!

I would definitely consider this Accent when downgrading my bills. With interest rates rising, this car makes a nice deal. It doesn't try to be more. I think I would get the SEL model though. Comes with everything I need. ☺️

Indian One Is So Expensive But It Gets The Rear Ac Vents And Comes With 16inch Wheel But Not 17 Like American One. The Top One Verna(Accent) Cost About $23000 For Diesel Auto (sx plus) and For Petrol Auto (sx(o) ) Cost About $22000. BUT WITH NO OPTIONS.

My Nana had this car and we went to Vermont which is 5 hour drive and it was amazing we are all grown ups and fit perfect and was getting with 4 people 50 mpg. She did trade it in because she wanted a bigger car so she got a 2019 Kona. Since her Hyundai have been awesome me and my brother Both got new cars. 2018 Elantra and 2020 Sonata

so i'm toying w/ the idea of getting a base model, reliable car for local driving w/a manageable car note. I have a plan to utiliize it for the next 3 yrs, pay it off and given it to my nephew as a graduation car. THIS REVIEW contained all the info I was curious about. I think young people, teens on the cusps of adult hood, should have these little 4cylinder "starter" cars. I had a '97, 2door cavalier coupe as a young teen-early adult and I had it a full 10 yrs and I think it served me well. I was looking to do the same for my nephew

Really should have 4 O blank handles, so it help the driver getting in and out. Not a bad looking car for a base. Doesn’t shout “Cheep”.

Actually, there are 2 ways to open the trunk. The aforementioned key fob button is one, the second is a latch on the floor near the driver's side door.

Interesting how it is manufactured in the same factory as the Mexican version (KIA Pesquería) but we get different characteristics. For example, here in Mexico all trim levels have DRL, but no fog lights either in the GLS (our top trim level). Heated seats and sunroof are also unavailable, but we do get a 7inch LCD with Car Play/Android Auto. Anyways, I just bought my 2019 GL MID and it is a really nice car for the price (255,900 mxn = 13400 USD tax included). By the way, hatchback is also available here.

Recommend the scl level and stay away from the SE if you're a good negotiator you can get it at the same price as the SE

Everyone like the 2018 look of the Hyundai Elantra I would suggest a Hyundai they make this look into the accent if they insist on changing the Elantra to the new-look they have for 2019

Mine actually shifts better now that it's broken in. 1-2-3-5 gets me to 60 MPH surprisingly fast and with a little offramp coasting before downshifting from 6th to 4th, 40+ MPG is easily doable.

Is Kia Rio the sister car to the accent? And would it be a competitor also?

Jeremy Caleb M T oh that’s right my bad. I had a 2012 and at that time it was 4-wheel disc breaks. Then a couple years later they saved money and went back to drums on the rear which is fine for a small car. Honda used rear drums on the civic forever. Now I forgot but is the rear suspension independent or a torsion beam on your model ?
