Glory to God! I'm watching the replay, and honestly, I really had to force myself into worship...I really didn't feel like it today...BUT GOD! such overwhelming peace and joy in His presence and enjoying who He is!! 😭😭😭🙏🙏🙏 There really is REST in His presence GLORY BE TO GOD

I think we all must learn how to sit still. It’s beautiful just to spend time with him . Yes we all need prayers but our father needs love , his not any father. His Yahweh the God of this universe. The king!!! In the old times . Just to speak to a king u needed permission and u needed to stay quiet until told to speak . U couldn’t even look at the kings eyes. See!!! God is so humble that he doesn’t ask us all of that but to show him that we love him. He already knows all about u and your family . Even when u don’t say , he knows what troubles your heart. Let’s show him that we are here for him. I honestly don’t even go to the chat. I think the chat is all a distraction reading messages through messages. Yes we get to help others by giving advice but we must do so at the end in my opinion. Let’s put our part to love the king. ❤

Pastor Chris, I'm not surprised that you like Br. Lawrence. While I haven't read his book, the Carmelite spiritual tradition is very close to my heart too and I kinda knew you're similar to me in this regard 😊. The Lord let me come across Carmelite spirituality very early in my walk with Him. I learned the most about prayer and spiritual life from books esp. by Wilfrid Stinissen - I think you would love him, he is a contemporary author (died 2013). But I was lucky to be able to go to a wonderful parish run by Carmelites when I was studying in Prague. They were the leaders of Catholic Charismatic Renewal in the country and also had a publishing house with wonderful books. I had wonderful spiritual directors and a small prayer group there. They literally saved my life. That's where I got my spiritual foundations. I still miss having something like that here. If you'd like to go really deep you would love the works of Teresa of Avila and John of the Cross, who were some of the greatest teachers of prayer and spiritual life. I found some videos about their works on the TAN Books YT channel. I have some books by Teresa of Avila. John of the Cross also wrote incredible poetry.

I usually praise God when I'm praying and asking for things and help but I'm also helping baby Christians to know how to pray to God and and how to use the name of Jesus and things and I don't stress enough to them about praising and worshiping God in a separate time. Sir, you are so right…. I am intentionally finding my way back to this place of presence. I have allowed distractions to be more important than setting time for him. He used to be absolutely first each morning…. Now that I am beyond the crisis 😢… I have allowed compromise, because I didn’t need him as much… so sad.. he indeed is worthy of all praise, regardless of circumstance.

Personally for me when I think about my Heavenly Father, I think about the word Father and immediately my heart feels sad because my earthly Father hurt my spirit and crushed me since I was a little girl. I forgave him but I wonder why I still feel so sad. I was abused all my life but I truly believe Jesus will take my hidden scars and they will be someone’s else’s hope. I have this problem too because of my mother wound. I tend to talk to Jesus more than to any other person of the Trinity, which is not necessarily a bad thing but I feel I still need some healing. It's easier to think of God as a friend or even my most intimate lover of my soul, but it's harder for me to see Him as Father. However that's nothing He can't heal and He's been working on it. He will do it for you too 😊

Pray for me pastor , my ophthalmology just told me I have calcium in my eyes they are like bumps they are scratching my cornea. My eyes hurt really bad plus my are dry to my glands clogging up so I have these two things going on. I was given different drops plus some jelly to put in my eyes to lubricate at night and also was given some ill make a three pills to take. he’s going to see me the 18th if this isn’t cleared by then he has to do surgery to remove the calcium bumps in the eyes. Then I need to a miracle have surgery to open up my glands from eyes. Please keep in prayer that my glands just open up and that the calcium is gone. I need a miracle.

Question: Chris, can you please clarify when you say “worship” & we are sitting in His presence but not experiencing the presence let’s say, like you are - we are just sitting silently & yet His presence in the atmosphere like you feel isn’t taking place or we aren’t experiencing in our Spirit all that you are experiencing. (Now I’m speaking from the perspective of a spirit filled person who loves God, spends time w God daily, has surrendered their life & doesn’t have blatant sin & hears God). I state that only because the default answers of deliverance, satan, etc isn’t always the reasons. We don’t worship a song but for me, singing 🎶 some worship songs take me into His presence & then I can rest there. There is instrumental background music that is anointed & I am able to enter in but some makes me tired & sleepy & my thoughts wander off. I will play worship songs & sing which helps me engage & then I will transfer over to your stream - I’m curious why you don’t ever sing any worship songs as a part of this “worship” time? I know we don’t worship a song, I know worship isn’t a feeling, but spending time with someone isn’t always dead silence, there is some conversation & interaction. Will you please share your thoughts. 🤍🤍🤍

We worship God of course. No matter if we experience or anything, God is always present so we can always worship Him. Whatever helps is good, but if someone get too used to identifying the presence of God with a specific feeling, there is the danger they will start "worshiping" the feeling instead of God.

Well, one of the main reasons we don't use mainstream worship songs is because of copyright issues. There is nothing wrong with singing I do it quite often :) In my recent past livestreams we have songs but some of them get flagged for copyright issues. Hope that meakes sense. I love to sing as well. It should be part of our time with the lord. I encourage you to keep singing! Now, many times in silence, there are interactions. This is why I enjoy silence, because a knowing and an interaction with the spirit. True communion with the Lord is with speaking either internally or externally. Many times when you see me on the stream the spirit is exchanging things with me. I enjoy stillness becuase its a great way to hear the still small voice. Silence is not a matter of external noise but of internal. Physical silence helps me to still but you may find that worship songs either sung or instrumental will do the same for you internally.

Thank you so much for taking your time to give your input. I didn’t realize the copyright issues. And by singing the worship songs I was feeling guilty because I thought well I’m to say nothing, just sit & be silent. However it always comes to mind what Johnny Enlow once said - that the one thing we can do for God that he can’t do for Himself is Praise Him. And I think I recall him saying he saw Jesus with tears because people loved him enough to worship Him. (Paraphrase) This was before I worshipped by sitting in silence it was when I always worshipped by singing worship songs. You get the point - As you have taught on sitting in quietness it’s been a challenge & frustrating actually bec I never seem to feel what you are feeling. But I’m learning God is still working & receiving our worship just by the mere fact that we gave Him our most valuable gift - our time ( quote from John Arnott’s wife)

But when do you start to pray like give requests?

I can’t sleep at all every night only 2 hours , due to this eye issue that know doctors seem to know what is causing the pain no drops work dry eyes, plus calcium in my eye. They just removed one there’s quite a bit and I don’t know that my insurance has given them a hard time. Have God give me a favor find someone that can find the problem and take care of it so I don’t suffer any more
