Appropriations exists so that money is not spent recklessly. If programs are not working properly you can examen the reasons and it is almost always b/c they had to work w/ less people or outdated machines b/c there was not enough funding. So, more taxes is the remedy. Unless you don't want to be America anymore, what you are advocating is essentially independent city-states , but honestly you would probably get mad at that too.

"Experts" come off as more believable if they can actually pronounce words such as "mortgage" and "children."

If you can continue to raise a debt ceiling then there really is no debt limit. It's about division and there never was debt.

We the People need to start having these people in congress pass financial literacy tests. Meaning if you can’t shows us you know how to balance a budget, without having to raise the debt ceiling or borrow more money… you don’t deserve a seat in congress. Government spending is out of control and the average American is tired of being the piggy bank of the millionaires in Congress.

Let the sanity begin. The MSM will act like the right is liking baby seals, but we really need to get our debt under control and stop over spending. Both parties are to blame in the past, but a solution has to start some time. Now is a great time.

It's not a debt default. Raising the debt ceiling let's the government spend more money. If Congress was forced to only spend the money they get in taxes, we wouldn't be raising the debt ceiling ever.

I already won't buy a house because a 180k house on a 30yr mortgage totals over 460k by the time it's paid off.... even tho the house was originally built for 90k or maybe a little more...
