There were years to do this during Covid-and now they close it right as summer approaches. We need to ensure piers remain public and are correctly built and maintained to ensure they are available to all.

The café better be added to that Pier!! I have so many amazing memories in that café!!

With the City of San Diego involved, it will be much, much more than 190M. Cost overruns, environmental studies, delays of all sorts and you can probably expect double to triple the price. Remember our finest city has goofed Qualcomm Stadium, Lake Hodges Dam, 101 Ash Street just to name a few. You stay classy San Diego!

Especially the rare combos but a few times every year Dec-Mar when you could get large swell

If it’s built under a Public-Private partnership, you can bet it won’t be free and open to the public.

Not necessarily. If there are private concessions, then walking the pier could still be free. However, spending a night in a private hotel on the pier would incur a cost.

When the waves are really big there is an outside set bigger than blacks it's a gigantic left at the end of the pier ....they should not build the T off to the mission Bay side so it becomes more of a draw to pull in real surfers

all the pot shops there could pay for it.

Yeah the fishing is pretty detestable. A shame they can’t limit the amount of things you can bring it’s almost like folks are camping on the pier…
