Towards the end, Runaways was trying harder than anyone but Agents of SHIELD to tie all the shows together. They name dropped Wakanda, crossed over with Cloak and Dagger, had what looked like the same Darkhold as AoS, and the magic users all did the same magic choreography as Dr. Strange. Also West Coast Avengers had land sharks, BRODOK, and the immortal line "I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you meddling kids! And Clint Barton Hawkeye!" Very fun read.

Cloak and Dagger did directly reference Luke Cage, though. Cloak literally reads an article by Karen Page about the season 1 finale. And the cop lady (I have forgotten her name and haven't gotten to Cloak and Dagger on my MCU rewatch yet) is mentioned to be a transfer from Harlem and also referenced in Luke Cage season 2, I believe. Which by proxy connects the Netflix shows to Runaways, SHIELD, and Agent Carter. Helstrom is more confusing. Apparently there's some nods to Ghost Rider here and there, but it's all background stuff. But I will stand by the original intention of doing a horror version of the Defenders on Hulu with the same Ghost Rider from SHIELD. So it's... Probably the only show that could be ignored (aside from Inhumans, fuck that shit).

I think Harley could fit well into the Iron Heart show. Could even be a love interest. I don't think he should get an Iron Man suit, he could just be her "guy in the chair"

I'm not the biggest fan of Thor LaT but I really think Axl Heimdallson has a chance of showing up in one of these. I don't think he has a comic counterpart but he got a unique mention in the epilogue so I don't think his part is over

Cloak and Dagger got their powers from magical drug exposure, kinda similar to a Luke Cage or half of Spidey's rogues gallery. They'd fit in with Spider-Man, Daredevil, That area of things. She needs to expel her light energy or she'll die, he needs to absorb life/light energy or he'll die, so they have to work together and they help people. Fun times, I hear.

That could be fun. I could also see Iceman, Firestar, and Johnny Storm all being in college with Peter as well. Firestar and Iceman because of the old school "Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends" show and it's a good way to bring in more Mutant characters, and Johnny Storm cause Peter and Johnny are friends in the comics.

I want squirrel girl to almost always have a back pack on cause she has to hide the tail XD (in the comics she hides it in her pants and just looks like she has a big butt.) I also want her to do something to make people go "whoa, she did that?!" Considering how she's defeated a bunch of big bad guys.

Cloak and Dagger had a crossover episode in Season 3 of Runaways. Had to deal with the Dark Dimension. Could shoehorn them into a Strange Academy with Nico. I could see them as recurring characters/cameos as former students.

What's really fun about the West Coast Avengers comic with Kate is that they revealed her mother was still alive (she was previously assumed dead) AND that her mom was now a vampire but then the series was cancelled pretty much immediately after so they never resolved the story or dealt with the fact that Kate Bishop's mom is canonically a vampire.

Kate's had some horrible luck with her comic runs. They often just...fizzle out, even if they're generally fun. I rather loved her West Coast Avengers, for instance, and the multiple Young Avengers incarnations, even her solo stuff (outside of the Jeff Lemire Hawkeye, was not a fan of that run for her or Clint). I can only hope an Al Ewing or Jed McKay-style writer pick up Kate and use those loose threads to deliver a solid story.

I think it would be a super interesting idea if Gwenpool (or any character really) was taken from the actual comic universe and put into the MCU, with all the knowledge that would come with that. I think it's an interesting take on the 4th wall breaking character and just be fun tbh

Deadpool might have some awareness of being from a comic book (I don't remember if there are any jokes about that in either of those movies), but as a character he's pretty firmly rooted in the X-Men movies. So you get the "refugee from another universe" part but none of the quirks that'd come from being a comic book character specifically.

thank you for bringing up Nadia- I think she’s a wonderful character w a super fun and inclusive run. I know it wouldn’t make sense to put her in the MCU but I’m hoping that maybe she gets her own animated Disney+ show( a la the new moon girl show) but maybe more of a focus on her lab and those characters like the show would be called Agents of G.I.R.L or something. Would love for this comic to be adopted for a wider audience and it would be such great female empowerment /women in stem empowerment for young audiences that would make my heart, as an elementary school teacher and big fan of comics, so happy

I'm surprised you haven't mentioned Magik (uliana rasputina) from New mutants in this video. She'd fit perfectly in the strange academy because her powers are magic-based. And she already has somewhat of a connection to the mcu through Deadpool because she's the sister of colossus. Also her actress is a way bigger deal now then what she was when she starred in New mutants

Cloak and Dagger (the show) has something of a connection to the Netflix Defender shows, and they guest appeared in Runaways. I thought Cloak and Dagger was way better than it had any right to be, so I hope we see more of them. They certainly don’t need to be on a team, but season 2 ended with them traveling around and helping kids out. This makes them perfect for popping in to other shows, especially if Niko is there. I think a revamped Luke Cage could feature them (Misty Knight is their tenuous connection, plus I think they could put Luke back on the right path after his season 2 finale). Also, I think they first showed up in a Spider-Man comic, so having them show up in his series would fit.

Nando inadvertently created a recreation of all the Marvel comicbook writers working on Cloak & Dagger trying to figure out the nature of their powers. In the comics, C&D are street level heroes (like Daredude, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, etc, though they don't often associate with them) who team up with either the X-Men or Spider-Man most of the time. Their powers are kind of mystic & magic (being tied to forces of dark & light), but are also mutants between retcons & fight the likes of Mr. Negative. Their kind of like the Power Pack or the Runaways in the sense that they kind rest in a limbo between "branches" of the Marvel universe, hardly a part of the greater world but still with connections to it, except still more popular than the Power Pack or Runaways. (Though Power Pack did almost get a TV show way sooner than C&D. A pilot was made in the 90's, but it became a TV movie when the series got cancelled.) I'm pretty sure Nadia Van Dyne is supposed to be comics version of Hope. She's Hank Pym's daughter & Nadia literally means "hope". Back when Loki was soon to come out, I honestly though Gwenpool might be in it. When, in the trailer, Sylvie was sitting in front of the moon & planet colliding & her hair looked kind of pink from the light, I thought that was Gwenpool in front of an incursion. Obviously, as we know now, not the case, but still... Tigra's real name is Greer Nelson. I'm pretty sure there's an other Marvel character (a hero, I believe) whose last name is Greer, but I don't remember their first or code name. I expect that Greer from Hawkeye is a James Rhodes-from-Iron-Man-1-type character on a smaller scale. I think she is Greer Nelson, but Marvel has no current plans to make her Tigra, they're just including her to have the characters around in case they ever do want to introduce Tigra, but she'll be, at most, a side character for the time being.

I think we'll see Karolina again since she and Niko have an on again off again relationship. And she's like the 2nd or 3rd most popular character on the Runaways. It's a toss up between her and Molly.

I'd like to see the gibborim acknowledged in Guardians 3. Runaways makes the gibborim out to be a big deal in space geopolitics on the level of the kree and skrulls but we haven't seen anything of them since. Who knows what Xavin is doing.

Cloak and Dagger pretty much have the same deal as Scarlet Witch. Former Mutants and X-Men that were retconned into being Humans that were permanently changed via supernatural means and have powers that are kinda magic (Dagger’s powered by the Lightforce like Cloak’s powered by the Darkforce, which are both supernatural, from my understanding, because what else could they be?) They’re usually friends with Spider-Man and made their debut in a Spider-Man comic if I recall correctly so maybe he’s their in? Also, Nadia already exists in the MCU since she’s Hope’s comic book counterpart but you wouldn’t be able to tell since they insist on making Hope a diet Janet Van Dyne in the movies and Nadia differs from Hope in a few noticeable ways. I guess that’s technically Marvel’s fault since Hope came first and they made Nadia “for” her but y’know

If Squirrel Girl doesn't save the Multiverse in Secret Wars i will be highly disappointed

Hulu did a Cloak & Dagger series. Had a couple seasons. And, in fact, they showed up for a cameo at the end of the Runaways. They way they explain their powers is that it's just some mystical and / or mutant thing that happens periodically through time. Two people have a connection, and their powerset always works cooperatively. Their biggest mentor is a Voodoo priestess (story is based in New Orleans). Of interest to me is that in the... I want to say first season, the C&D cop sidekick mentions that she used to work in NYC, and mentions that her cop friend there has a robot arm. This was shortly after the Misty McKnight character in the Netflix show (Probably Iron Fist, but maybe Defenders? Everything bled over between those shows so much, it's hard to tell.) got a robot arm. So clearly, there was some attempt to interconnect all of the various TV shows before Disney+.

Funnily enough, Cloak and Dagger are considered a bit X-Men'ish in the comics as well (despite not being mutants), as they're picked up by Norman Osborn for his X-Men team (from which they alter defect, and maybe spend a bit of time on Utopia? I do vaguely remember Logan utilising Cloak for something a bit, maybe in Daniel Way#s Wolverine run)

He just might not have read it. From what I've seen, anyone who read Unbelievable Gwenpool absolutely loved it, while everyone who didn't either thinks she's an okay character or doesn't really care that much. If that's the case, I'm guessing Nando's main exposure to Gwenpool would be from West Coast Avengers, which is nice but doesn't really do Gwen justice.

Agents of SHIELD did have kids with powers. Flint (geokinesis) and Robin (precognition). I don't know how likely they are to return, but with where the show ended, I could maybe see them returning if they decide to bring back Melinda May (which, I don't know how likely that is, but it's a non-zero possibility).

I watched the Young Avengers video on Nebula when it first dropped. Honestly, woulda been nice to get my comments on it out back when it first dropped instead of waiting till it dropped on KZread 3 days ago haha

I can see where you're coming from with a lot of these. I do have some thoughts on it though. •I do think Harley could be like a "guy in the chair" type for one or both teams. •Cloak and Dagger are High School age right before the snap, around the same age as the Runaways (which they crossover with for a journey into the Dark Dimension) so they could definitely work, probably more in your Strange Academy team cause at least in the show they deal a lot with the Vodun (Voodoo gods) and fear/hope based powers and such, so they are a bit more on the magical side, not to mention they fight D'Spayre in Season 2. •I do agree that if we see any of the Runaways it'll probably be Nico. I think there's a small chance, like around 1%, that we see the remaining Runaways aside from Karolina who has romantic connections to Nico as well as being part of the Runaways, plus if you need an extraterrestrial role Karolina could fill it. •I think Harley or a potential older Morgan (played by Katherine Langford) could still be a sort of Iron Lad type without needing to be a Kang Variant. Rather than being a Variant of Kang, they could instead be mind controlled by Kang or be someone that works for him but then decided they don't want to anymore or whatever. •If you want to make another video I'm still curious where you'd place Axl (Heimdall's kid) from Love and Thunder and the older Morgan Stark we almost got in Endgame. I'd also be curious to see if you think they'd use Blade's daughter at all (whether it be Fallon Grey or the more recent Bloodline or whatever she's called) in any of these teams.

TBF, the MCU could open the door for the others Runaways to finally live up to their potential. Have Alex be the criminal mastermind he aspires to be, or have Karolina deal with the intergalactic consequences of being a war criminal's daughter. I don't mind them being the black sheep of the Marvel brand, but do something with them, 'cause those cliffhangers were a MENACE.

Elizabeth is awesome as Morgan and she said she’s down to return Feigie is a consistent man he’s gonna keep everything canon because the fans like it already and they will use the show to promote her return

It's just Disney trying to do their own Harry Potter/ Hogwarts stuff. Disney has actively sought the rights to the Harry Potter / Wizarding World IP, for decades.

Of the Runaways, only Sister Grimm and Karoline oils have a future with the Avengers. The rest could get maybe Stark Industries svolarships if that still exists.

Kid Omega showing up was one of my theories about Deadpool 3 before the Wolverine announcement happened. That's the universe with the most history for the Xmen, so his sort of meta works. Plus I would love if Firefist/Julian Denison stuck around and I think his movie personality would work well with Kid Omegas. Quentin Quire can be a very angry, jaded kid under all that theatrical villainy, so he offers an opportunity for Russel to work through his own anger at the world. Or they could become the next gen Magneto and Mystique, that's cool too.

I think Gwenpool is inevitable, for one reason: Jeff would be Baby Groot and Grogu levels of merchandisable. I mean I guess they could make Jeff a Kate or Deadpool thing, but I don't think he'd fit in as well in either of those. That said, I doubt she'll be any time soon since we'll need Deadpool well established first, and I don't think she'll be a kid character when we get her. I'm thinking maybe we get her around 2028. She's a young adult, not a kid, but not old enough to remember a world without the MCU. From a cynical marketing perspective, that could click with people in that age group. But also from a story and metatextual perspective, she could provide an interesting lens to reflect on 20 years of the MCU.

Ryan Gosling was rumoured to be playing Ghost Rider a while ago. If these rumours are true, I think he'd be the perfect choice to play Danny Ketch. You'd have to disconnect it from the Nick Cage Ghost Rider movies though, so this version of Ketch isn't the same as the kid from Spirit of Vengeance. Maybe you can introduce a different Johnny Blaze (played by either Keanu Reeves, Norman Reedus, or maybe even Nick Cage returning), but Gosling as Danny Ketch would be perfect in my opinion.

Cloak and Dagger would be good picks for She-Hulk or Daredevil. The main Marvel connection in the show was to the Netflix Defenders stuff. (Cloak and Daggers powers are Roxxon based.) They also crossover to Runaways once.

Boy, we're gonna find out if they all look like Majors really soon, huh?

If West Coast Avengers are on the table, could we get Jeff? If we are just doing deep cut Blorbos from our shows, I would kind of want to see a Kobik, to have Bucky do something paternal and really explore how to deal with an all powerful child in the MCU where the world is under threat every other day, but I understand that there is too much setup and power scaling required to make that happen.

This also has me bummed again about New Mutants (obviously not MCU but the mind goes there thinking of young heroes) which had great casting, initially a great premise until they shied away from going full horror, & it got butchered by delays and arguably reshoots (though the director denies it). I really wish we could’ve seen what that cast could do with a 2nd movie after cramming 6 origin stories into 90 minutes was out of the way. I love the New Mutants and the movie was actually very faithful to the characters’ origins despite not succeeding as an actual film. I’m glad it saw the light of day but it’s a real shame.

I think we’ll learn more about the canonicity of the Marvel Television shows in Secret Invasion (especially if any of the Agents of SHIELD characters except Coulson show up) and Daredevil Reborn.

The Runaways got a bunch of discussion but no mention of my boy Victor Mancha. I know he’d be really hard to do because he was made by Ultron and that’d require a lot of work to make happen, but he’s a fun character and I want to see him in stuff.

You should see the Disney cruise live action MCU stuff: Ant-Man, Wasp, Captain America (Sam), Captain Marvel, and Ms. Marvel VS Ultron I think Ultron is officially coming back, and has been planned to do so, for years (Ultron drone with the glowing eyes, in Homecoming).

They set up a future for the other runaways there’s definitely more stories to tell

Did you mention new Falcon from Falcon and the Winter Soldier? He was a recuring side character in the show and they hinted that he got wings. His comic counterpart was in Champions (and was the only time I've seen). He was a bit older in the show so he might be a weird fit on your Champions team, but hey, he exists.

Not to nitpick (not unlike your podcast Mostly Nitpicking): while I don't think they will do anything with the Iron Man 3 kid, and we have examples of characters looking the same between variants in Scarlet Witch, Doctor Strange, and Kang, we also have canon evidence that not /every/ variant will look the same. Loki had variants of different races, genders, and species, as well as just more Tom Hiddlestons.

Im like reaally conflicted about the Runaways. I love the runaways... i would love to see more of them. And while the show was fun and good for what it is, a lot of the changes made to it make me feel well conflicted. Would love to see another crack at them someday.

Towards the last half of the final Runaway season after a time skip, Nico states she did find a master during the time skip.

Side note (don’t know what this adds if anything) but Tigra is a main character in the recent McKay Moon Knight run.

I just had a thought: they pretty much have most of the characters they need to assemble that team from the Ultimate Spider-Man TV show. That said, this version of Luke Cage ain’t playing second fiddle to MCU Spider-Man.

Cloak and Dagger team up with the Runaways for a little bit in season 3, so if they do show up, I would guess they would meet up with Niko.

13:33 I like the idea of having an older Avenger character on Kate's West Coast team in the B-Tier. Tigra seems good. I don't know much about her aside from seeing images of her in the 90s version of Avengers. She and Hawkeye might have some insights and skill department connections that Kate's team doesn't quite have yet. Hopefully Jeremy Renner if recovers and can come back as a supporting role as Hawkeye every now and again if that's something he still wants to do. If not, maybe he could show up for maybe a few episodes where he doesn't have to do much and has Tigra or maybe some other B-Tiered Avengers figures be kind of the Den-Mother figure and help out in the areas that Kate's main team might not know what they're doing to maybe make sure they don't blow themselves up or something.

For the runaways there isn't too much of them outside of each other except for murderworld and avengers academy but that comes with a lot. And a force just has Nico

Galacta! the daughter of Galactus who had a solo series back in the late 2000s i think and had lots of quirky teen humor, deepest cut that I can think of, never been adapted before and so the MCU is the perfect playing field!

i forgot to post this in the comments of the main video because i watched it back on Nebula, but do you know that Doreen Green/squirrel girl and Lunella Lafayette/moon girl got cast in the disney parks' avengers campus? they show up as part of WEB (the spiderman ride). i don't expect them to show up in the MCU, especially not as those specific actresses, i just think it's funny that they star next to tom holland's spiderman out there.

west coast avengers was great id really like to see an animated series based on it

14:13 I think Cloak and Dagger from what I loosely recall from an entry in one of those Marvel Encylopedia comics, I think they're mostly street level heroes. I think at most they'd be at home in the Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist type territory of stories rather than a west coast avengers or avengers acaedmy type of exploits.

The Nico actress was recently in Midnight Suns playing Nico. If they do here, they'll stick with her.

Having finally seen the final season of Runaways the other week (it only just hit Disney+ somewhat recently), I don't really need more of any of them except Nico - as mentioned, "doing a Daredevil" is probably the best option for her (and Agents of SHIELD characters, Cloak & Dagger, any others). Having not played the Midnight Suns game yet (not a big fan of the gameplay and definitely don't want to pay release price for that), I am most interested in seeing Nico & Magik hanging out (having somewhat recently gone through most of Magik's comic appearances, I'm quite a fan of the concept of the character and she's been great at times). I don't expect we'll get a magic school/Strange Academy thing anytime soon (within 5 years, but even 10 feels like it'd be pushing it). Cloak & Dagger had potential but never really lived up to it for me, so I'd be fine if we don't see them again though there are options for more/better use in the future. Don't think we'll get the Spider-Man adjacent characters in anything MCU, just plans for bad spinoffs in the SPUMC (like Morbius and El Muerte, etc.). Wasn't a fan of Quentin Quire outside of his West Coast Avengers (and maybe 3 issues of the recent X-Force), which was a run I quite enjoyed for every character involved (including Jeff the land shark, the best character ever), rather enjoy Gwenpool but I don't see her working in the MCU. Again, I don't think the MCU's really been seeding a new generation, especially as the release rate's actually too low to do that well (introduce a character in Ant-Man 3, for instance, and unless they suddenly appear in The Marvels, then they're going to be out for a year or two, and age out of "Young Avenger" range before you get to the teamup). Honestly, their best chance for a Young Avengers or Champions would've been a TV (or now Disney+) series, or - failing that - starting them with the teamup film, rather than trying to seed them in other stuff first (as smart as seeding seems, it means the age out or recasting or nebulous timeline problems will plague them).

Regarding the kid fro Ironman three. He could be Peter's new friend. or the new Happy or Iron Patriot for Ironheart. But if actual comic fans don't mention it, I assume it's not a thing.

Cloak and Dagger normally show up helping Spiderman and what ever team he's on or jst with SHIELD in general sometimes Daredevil and X-Men too

I really liked Cloak and Dagger and I think they could be brought in when Roxxon shows up.

I have no idea on whether Tigra could be a mentor figure or not. TBH, I've never read any of her books or seen all that many of interactions, I just know she's around but don't have a fix on what her personality is like. From a description I saw in some complete selection book, it seems she's clashed with Werewolf by Night or something at one point. So maybe she could show up as a B-Tier figure there and they can move her around to small scale stuff. I don't know. since you mentioned her, I think I'll try to look into her exploits and figure out her personality as a character.

Cloak and Dagger would fit into something like one of the upcoming Spider-Man movies. At the end of their show they were on their way to New York City. They could be going to the same college as Peter or just run into him.

9:51 miles is referenced in homecoming, while not outright shown Aron Davis (The Prowler, played by Donald Glover) is in the movie and mentions a nephew (most likely miles)

Molly from Runaways broke out quite a bit early on but she's faded back to relative obscurity over the years

Cloack and Dagger were introduced in Spider-Man comics so that could be an entry

Black Panthers child Toussaint isn't mentioned and he seems really pivotal for wakandas inclusion

Nico has also been confirmed to show up in the upcoming Spider-Man: Freshman year which is an animated show set in the mcu

Cloak & Dagger got their powers from drugs, then they were retconned into mutants whose mutation was triggered by the drugs, then more recently retconned to not be mutants. There ya go.

Show was surprisingly good though, on par with some of the netflix stuff for part of the run at least, but yeah I’d be shocked if those versions ever show up. I do think they crossed over with Runaways at one point.

I want the runaways to get a spot even if small on an avengers roster. Too many fun possible interactions with our current heroes and these snarky teenagers

I would love to see a Gwenpool special, maybe have it animated but after she hulk, if they tried showing her fourth wall breaking powers with the comics or Disney+ it might just leave a bad taste in everyone’s mouths

Nah, personally I feel Gwenpool would only work if she has proper character development. Animated might work, but live action would fit the concept of "Gwenpool joins the MCU" better. A special would be too short for it too. If you ask me, I'd say you'd need a movie trilogy to fully utilise her potential. The first movie will focus on her character growth (and trying to find her place in the world) and would properly introduce her character. The second movie would introduce the reality bending 4th wall powers, and use them with the similar character growth fight she has with Evil Gwen in the comics, where she sacrifices her future to avoid turning evil (for the MCU, Evil Gwen could be from a future where she becomes the next "big bad" after Thanos, Kang, and whoever else follows). The third movie will see her trying desperately to make herself relevant, after the finale of the second movie. At the end of the movie, she has a talk with "good future Gwen", accepts her fate, thanks the audience for watching, and ends "the Gwenpool trilogy" with her future in the MCU left uncertain. This could only be done if it's done right though. Like She-Hulk, if there's one issue with it, it could leave a bad taste. The writing, dialogue, directing, cinematography, set design, acting, pacing, fight choreography, and pretty much everything else about it needs to be flawless for it to work. If done right though, it could easily reach a legendary status.

Were you thinking of Zelma Thurman? Strange's Librarian from Jason Aaron's run that is now.... i think Librarian at Strange Academy? That'd be an awesome character for a Strange Academy show. I really like Tigra. Greer Nelson. The throwaway of that name drop in Hawkeye stood out to me so much, especially since it was the first episode. I kept waiting for her to become a supporting character like Trish for Jess but she never showed up again. Didn't NEED it but I still missed it.

I’ve read almost every appearance of the Runaways in & out of their own solo titles. Without them I wouldn’t have gotten into comics when I did & been the geek I am today. So my love & want for them to return is probs a lil ridiculous. But for the most part the Runaways all just appear in other peoples series & then disappear again. Only 1 just like ya said who could like really return would Nico. I’d be down to see Alex be a villain against Heroes for Hire like he was & maybe retcon Molly into a mutant & have her appear as a cameo @ the X Mansion. Really all I need is a final season for the Runaways & then @ least have Nico appear in some magical movies or shows.

I'm partial to the Runaways.

I absolutely love Gwenpool. The original Hastings run was what got me into western comics. I think Gwenpool Strikes Back was also wonderfully handled, as long as you actually read it all the way through and don't rage-quit the cringe first three volumes, which are cringe on purpose. But I think Gwenpool is such a hard character to write, that any cinema adaptation of her will more likely be bad than good. It is very tempting to just write her as just "female Deadpool" as we see in her Rocket & Groot, West Coast Avengers, and Champions appearances. Another problem is Gwenpool's "powers" don't really make sense in a group setting. If she's ever translated to cinema, it would have to be a Gwenpool-focused story with MANY cameos, rather than folding her into a team like Young Avengers or Strange Academy. Stuff like realizing she's not allowed to die yet and therefore can be as reckless as she wants because we're still in the middle of Act 2 is fun when she's the focus character, but doesn't make sense when she's a secondary character. I could see interesting movie/tv takes on her comic 4th wall breaks. For example, she could do a thing where she tries to grab the camera based on her knowledge of A-B shots, let someone else start talking, then reach over her left shoulder and miss. Get mad that it's not there: it should be there. Then ask something silly like if Michael Bay is directing and reach for something closer to her butt. Then finally notice where the scene lighting is focused and properly manage to properly grab the camera. Or have her study a different language early in the film, so she can abuse the translation subtitles in a plot-relevant way later (possibly mentioning how difficult this scene will be to localize into other languages because the spoken dialogue line will need to match the scene, but the translated text line will need to be long enough to use). What makes Gwenpool more than just "female Deadpool" is her media savviness, and understanding that without said media savviness, she would just be a background characters... and things typically don't end well for background characters in stories like this. Again, why she doesn't particularly play well as a secondary character or part of a team. She inherently HAS to be the main character in order to be Gwenpool at all.
