I have the same car with a chalk + blue interior it always gets compliments for “the color.” I agree, there’s no turbo lag. Put your foot in it and you’ll be at 120 in no time.

Great videos James, I just picked up a base 2018 991.2 as well with PSE and 7 speed manual. I'm super excited...considering a tune however not sure which Cobb, APR, VividRacing, or Softronics? Why did you choose Softronics over other brands and realistic torque/hp gains? Any feedback would be appreciated. Keep the amazing videos coming. Thank you.

Nicely edited. And I appreciate your purposeful sound recording of the engine, instead of just letting the sound lay there like most KZread videos. Sound is SO important!

Congrats…. Definitely a beauty. Have a 991.2 base as well. Everything you’ve said in this video rings true to my heart. Did quite a bit bit of research on ECU tunes….Cobb, APR, etc Went also with softronic and it is absolutely beast. Also done the calipers in red inspired by your 991.1 video. Although less circumspect about infringing on the S red. Enjoy!

Congrats on the new .2, I will be watching this series! I have had my .2 carrera 7 spd for 3 years now and I have done the apr stg 1, soul sport cats and x pipe(no pse) and the dsc pasm upgrade

I am so excited as I just got a 991.2 carrera and am wanting to do some of these mods you are speaking about. So far, I have upgraded to the sport front spoiler (Love the look). The softronic ECU flash is on my list. So much horsepower and torque for the buck. Can't wait to see you do this and a lot more. I have seen some on Rennlist adding adding Porsche side skirts from the 991.1 RS or GTS. Look at that option as well, please!

Congrats! Graphite blue is my favorite color! Mine has the black S wheels, but I think the silver looks better.

James, congrats on the .2-- It is awesome, you will love it. You have have inspired my maintenance and mods on my 997 C2 CAB and my 991.2 C2 CAB. Keep up the great work. Just did the front Pads and Rotors last weekend….they are red because of you!!! Considering an ECU tune as well….

Congrats on the .2. I just did the same about a month ago and as much as I loved my .1 this one is so much more fun to drive. Excited to see some of your mods already, which I have wanted to do also. Before you jump into the performance, maybe for the channel try a Sprint Booster and see what you think. So many nay sayers on the SB but for turbo cars, it really adds another element of fun. Would be great to see you try it and with your following share the outcome. I have used for years on other turbo cars and now its a must have for me.

You'll need upgraded bypass valves to run stage 1, as stock valves over the years would get soft. Good luck and congrats!

Congrats James!!! Awesome Car and Color. I think you will love the Tune, my new Daily is an S5 2015 running on Corn LOL it's a huge difference from stock. I am sure once you get your Tune you will feel the same. Lastly if prices drop a bit I'll going the group with a 991.2 for now the 993 still my only P CAr.

Love that color, congrats on your new ride enjoy it! I have 2015 991.1s. I do find it took me a bit to get used to be in the right rpm range to really get it going. The 991.2 I saw a video with someone driving out of gear and getting excellent acceleration throughout with the turbos

Beautiful car, I've got a close sibling, 2017 graphite blue base. I love the Softronic tune that I did earlier this year. Now I really need to get up to Tail of the Dragon if you guys do another road trip.

Great Video with your Mods, congrats. I have a question, though. I'm on the opposite direction. My SCC came in with the yellow face, and I do not like it. I want to turn it into a black face! How was your experience swapping the black into a yellow on your unit? Any tips appreciated. Thanks.

If you would like to have the factory black face I removed from my cluster, you're very welcome to it! The job is pretty straight forward. I have a DIY video of the job that shows you how to do it step by step. I would also be happy discussing it with you live if that helps too.

Really happy with my '17 C2. Going to get an APR Tune on it and increase the hp close to 500!

@@AutoAmateur we live in Australia, so it’s RHD, Carrera, sports chrono, full leather, panoramic glass roof, sports exhaust, spyder wheels. All In white, black chrome and black everything else. And a bunch of interior stuff…. Burmeister etc.

Congrats! I have a 991.2 C4S that's graphite blue like yours but with full Cognac leather interior package. Looking forward to the performance mods! Unfortunately...I've still got a year and half left on my warranty and service (I bought the extended warranty when it expired and prepaid for the services) but I'm keen on the ECU tune, filters, cat and headers...may be intercoolers too. That's about what I'm thinking about doing as soon as the warranty expires. *Here in my country any changes to the factory setting voids the warranty to that part, even adding coding for Android Auto voids the warranty on the PCM system. Cheers!

I have the Softronic tune on my 17 Base. Fantastic tune with more than enough power and no drivabiltiy problems. More power than the 991.2 GTS and you keep the response of the smaller turbos.

James, FYI I have heard that the guys who have done the H&R springs end up with a harsh ride….and have utilized other options. FYI we meet at one of the recent Sportscar Together Festival events at Indy if I am not mistaken. Love the new car. These little Turbocars are terrific and the Tune’s make them come alive. Cannot wait to see what happens next.

The deck lid dimensions and fixings should be the same between the 991.1 and 991.2. It's the rear lights and bumper itself that differ and aren't interchangeable.

⁠it’s graphite blue metallic which was one of the special options available for the 991.2. It became a PTS color with the 992.

Nothing wrong with a stock ride height if it suits the kind of roads you encounter.
