I’m not Christian. I’m hindu but I went to a catholic funeral and this hymn was played. It really touched me.

I love your story! I am a lifelong Christian. But back in the late 1960s, with my church youth group, I attended an ecumenical series, that involved us going to 6 different churches, all of different Christian denominations. One of those was a Catholic youth group. Each week, we would begin at their church. And before we'd travel to another church, we'd have a brief service that included singing songs that the Catholic youth group sang. Though I'd been to church my entire life, and had been in junior and youth choirs, I'd never sung any of the hauntingly beautiful songs, they taught us. One was this song. It touched me deeply as well! I love that it touched you, a Hindu, as well! And unlike some here, I don't condemn your religion, or you for being a part of it. I feel God knew what he was doing when he had me be born where I would learn Christianity. And it was his plan that you be a Hindu. A few years after that ecumenical series, that made realize that though Christians believed and worshipped in many ways, the basis was the same, and then I took a comparative religions class. In that class, while learning about the beliefs and customs of the major religions of the world, I realized that at their core, all religions have a lot in common. And that following each of them, leads to one being a good person, with respect for our fellow human beings. And in the end that is the whole purpose of every religion, that we put others before ourselves, and judge noone. And I love that you and I, with very different backgrounds, were moved in the same way, by this song!!

Might get some negative feedback from this, but we all sure the same God there is only one true God God is known by many different names, but Jesus Christ is only known by Jesus Christ the son of God, so glad that you realize that the son of Jesus Christ died for you on the cross for your sins praying for you and holding you in the name of Jesus Christ to strengthen your bond with him. Amen.

The Catholic Faith comes to us in beautiful songs like this one. I learned many and I am grateful.

I heard a wise woman say that every Christian should preach Jesus every day...and, uf necessary, use words! People are watching us to see if we live what we say.

It's not want we can do for the lord it's what the Lord Jesus can do got us. No matter what we go through no matter what we beleive in. God is there for us through good day or sad days.
