This is one of the most precious beautiful songs. I just received a message that the Lord Jesus Christ took one of my sisters in Christ home this morning to be with him, and this song could not have been sung at a better time. As this world is in a darkened state, it is well with my soul I pray for all the lost souls out there that the eyes to the heart will be open to see what our Lord Jesus Christ did out of pure love for us he gave his life so that we may have eternal life with him. I pray that the lost souls will not wait any longer as time is running out, may you be blessed and God shine his light upon you a sister in Christ.

Horatio Spafford suffered immensely at the time he penned this classic hymn. In the Chicago fire of 1871, he lost a fortune in real estate. Subsequently, he lost his 4-year-old son to scarlet fever. He sent his wife and four daughters on vacation to England thinking it might help whereby he would join them later. Yet at sea, he lost his four daughters. Only his wife survived. He and his wife eventually relocated to Israel.

I lost 2 people in 2017, 3 days apart..my father and my childhood best friend..This song was sung at the service and played when we put them too rest..I learned this song at 5 years old..I am in my mid 50's now..and i so love this song..for some people it is a prayer..ajbc..

LeeJ-kb6kq ; I have had this song on my mind for some time now. I came across it just now and had to listen to it and let the Lord know that, it is "Well with my Soul". You see, my wife and I lost our daughter to Inflammatory Breast Cancer on 03/28/2024. Just two days ago. She fought bravely for 4.5 years. Many bouts of Chemotherapy, Radiation and, operations but, her body was tired and wore out. I know that she's in a much better place, free from pain and the countless trips to her many appointments. She leaves behind her husband, four children, parents, two brothers and, many more relatives, too many to count. Thank you for sharing this beautiful song.

Actually this song has two authors. One wrote the music the other wrote the lyrics. The man who wrote the lyrics was the man that lost his family in a ship wreck. The man who wrote the music had no children, but lost his life trying to save his wife in a train crash.

"My sin, not in part but the whole, is nailed to HIS cross, and I bear it no more." -- When I first sang this hymn, I had to change it from "to the cross" to "to HIS cross", for me a very important distinction. Then later, I researched what Horatio Spafford wrote and found his original handwritten lyrics on hotel stationery. His original lyrics were "to HIS cross". Also, I found two other significant verses rarely ever sung.

If you find other hymns with lesser-known verses please let me know as I'm always trying to breathe life into older classics that are not so common! 📩Brothers and sisters, I want to inform you that now is the beginning of the last age of (which He called the Age of the Kingdom or age of word) God's salvation in this old world and His work now is to purify the person who will receive His work that in His lowered Kingdom engraved with His holy name and totality of His disposition "THE CHURCH OF ALMIGHTY GOD"💐 the work He accomplished today is what He prophesied in the great book of Revelation so now is the beginning to be sorted out by Him every type of humanity (the ones He can purify until his last breath is the one who succeeds so that he can enter the approaching New Heaven and New Earth after this 1,000 years extension of God's salvation from now on this old and dirty world, or those who cannot be purified will be destroyed together with this old world, or the one who will be with Satan in eternal punishment in the bottom of Hades of fire brimstone forever). 📩 So, come and enter the last age in His lowered Kingdom. THE GOSPEL OF THE WORD OF ALMIGHTY GOD "the last age in which God saves man from the destruction of this old world" Almighty God said In the LAST DAYS, GOD became MAN to DO the WORK He HAD to DO and to PERFORM His MINISTRY of the WORD. He PERSONALLY CAME to WORK in the MIDST of PEOPLE with the goal of making PERFECT PEOPLE WHO HAD the SAME ATTITUDE. 🙏 From the time of creation until now, He has only performed this kind of work in the LAST DAYS. It was only in the LAST DAYS that GOD BECAME MAN to DO such a great WORK. Although He endured hardships that men would find it hard to bear, and although He was a GREAT GOD who HUMBLED HIMSELF to become a common man, no aspect of His WORK was delayed, and His PLAN was not disrupted. even a little. He does the WORK according to His ORIGINAL PLAN. ☀️ ONE of the PURPOSES of this INCARNATION is to CONQUER PEOPLE, the OTHER is to MAKE PERFECT the PEOPLE He LOVES. He WANTS to SEE with His OWN EYES the PEOPLE He PERFECTS, and He wants to SEE for HIMSELF HOW the PEOPLE He PERFECTS TESTIFY for Him. NOT ONE or TWO PEOPLE are PERFECT. Rather, it is ONE GROUP, COMPRISED of just a FEW PEOPLE. ☀️🙏 PEOPLE in this GROUP COME from DIFFERENT COUNTRIES in the WORLD, and COME from DIFFERENT NATIONALITIES in the WORLD. The PURPOSE of DOING so much WORK is to GET this GROUP of PEOPLE, to GET the TESTIMONY of this GROUP OF PEOPLE to Him, and to ACHIEVE the GLORY He can GET from them. He does no work in vain, nor does He do any work worthless. It can be said that, in doing so many works, GOD'S PURPOSE is to make PERFECT EVERYTHING He WANTS to make PERFECT. In any free time He has outside of it, He will remove those who are evil. ☀️ You must know that He does not do this great work because of the wicked; rather, He gives His all because of the few people He will make perfect. The WORK He DOES, the WORDS He SPEAKS, the MYSTERIES He REVEALS, and His JUDGMENT and PUNISHMENT are ALL for the sane of those FEW PEOPLE. 🙏 He did NOT become a MAN because of those who were BAD, and especially they did NOT provoke Him to anger so much. He tells the TRUTH, and SPEAKS of ENTERING, because of PERFECT WORKS; He became MAN because of them, and because of them He could grant His PROMISES and BLESSINGS. ☀️ The truth, entrance, and life in humanity that He speaks of is not labored for the sake of the wicked. He WANTS to AVOID TALKING to those who are BAD, INSTEAD He WANTS to GRANT all the TRUTH to those who will be made PERFECT. But His work requires that, for the time being, He allows the WICKED to ENJOY some of His RICHES. Those who do not practice the truth, do not please God, and interfere with His work are all evil. They CANNOT BE MADE PERFECT, and GOD HATES and REJECTS them. 😪 On the other hand, PEOPLE WHO DO the TRUTH and PLEASE GOD and SPEND their WHOLE SELF in GOD'S WORK are the PEOPLE GOD WILL MAKE PERFECT. 🙏 Those whom GOD wants to make PERFECT are none other than this GROUP of PEOPLE, and the WORK GOD DOES is for the BENEFIT of these PEOPLE. The truth He speaks is for those who are WILLING to DO it. He does not speak to people who do not practice the truth. ☀️ The growth of knowledge and the growth of understanding that He says is aimed at those who can practice the truth. When He speaks of those who will be made perfect, He is speaking of these people. The WORK of the HOLY SPIRIT is FOCUSED on PEOPLE who CAN do the TRUTH. 🙏 Things like having wisdom and being human are dedicated to people who are WILLING to DO the TRUTH. Those who DO NOT PRACTICE the TRUTH may HEAR MANY WORDS of TRUTH, BUT BECAUSE they are by NATURE VERY EVIL and are NOT INTERESTED in the TRUTH, all they understand are doctrines and words and empty theories, which have not the slightest value for upon their entry into life. Not ONE of THEM is FAITHFUL to GOD; they are ALL PEOPLE WHO SEE GOD BUT CANNOT REACH Him, ALL of THEM are CURSED by GOD. 😪🙏 From "Only Those Who Commit to Practice Make Perfection" Fulfillment of "When I looked up, someone handed me a book wrapped in a scroll. I opened it and I read on both sides the prayers, lamentations, and curses." (Ezekiel 2:9-10). ... "His clothes were stained with blood. He was called the "Word of God." (Rev. 19:13) The kingdom He brought down and built in the worthy holy place in the highest in the sky and when all the humanity He created in the universe was occupied by it and it was engraved in His holy name and owned by His disposition "THE CHURCH OF ALMIGHTY GOD" 💐 this is the fulfillment of (Mat. 16:18) The Lord Jesus said, "And I say to you, Peter, on top of this eunuch I will build my Church, which will not prevail against him even the fear of death.". ... and fulfillment of "The Letter to the Church in Philadelphia" (Rev. 3:7-13). ... and fulfillment of "The New Jerusalem"💫 "The Spirit covered me, and the angel led me to the top of a very high mountain. He showed me Jerusalem, the Holy City, coming down from heaven from God." (Rev. 21:10). ... "For the time has come in the matter of God for the beginning of judgment in the house of God." (1 Peter 4:17) 📩 God's sheep are called and led to His glorious Throne in "THE CHURCH OF ALMIGHTY GOD" 💐 to submit again to His authority so that He can continue to teach us, guide us and protect us even in plagues, disasters, famines and wild animals It will not move us, and to completely win the war with the big red dragon in this final battle!. ... The fulfillment of "They say with a loud voice, "Salvation comes from the Lamb, and from our God who sits on the Throne!" (Rev. 7:10). ... Fulfillment that it will be built in the highest of the sky that in our Millennial generation that is KZread in (Isaiah 2:2 / 9:6) "In the last day, the mountain on which Jehovah's temple stands will stand out above all the mountains. All the nations will flock there.". ... "For a baby boy is born for us. The rule will be given to him; and he shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." 📨✉️
