Worship Tutorials this one nailed us when we did it the first time. Church caught on quick. It’s not a chorus that sounds churchy, however it’s something that everyone can relate to when they hear it. Just an honest cry, beautiful, especially when the bridge hits. It’s a huge bridge, but we still knocked it out in D. Db would be easier obviously, but I like singing out

Worship Tutorials I did it in C# too! Lol in C the 1st Verse and chorus was too low and I’m D the bridge was way high, C# that middle ground, loved that idea of tuning a half step down and playing in D shapes! Gonna use that this weekend!🙌🔥

Worship Tutorials I agree! I went to the Outcry tour back in April and they did this song and I fell in love with this song. I instantly went home and looked it up on KZread to see if someone posted a live version and I learned it and started doing it at church. I do it in the original key, D. It’s such an amazing worship song.

I didn’t see a reply, but in case you haven’t gotten the answer yet, when someone says they are tuned down a half step, it means the whole guitar/all the strings are tuned down a half step - same applies if someone says they tune down a whole step, step and a half, etc...

Amazing rendition! But I have one question open to anyone that sings, how did you find confidence in your voice? I’m really struggling to work up the nerve to sing in front of other people, so any advice is appreciated!

Noah Smith, I was in the same boat. I built up my confidence by posting videos of my singing on social media, at first they were just blank videos not showing my face, but as I got more positive comments I tried showing my face and I’ve slowly built up my confidence to sing in front of my friends and family. This might be different for you, but it really helped me!

Could you possibly do more behind the scenes mixing and mastering videos? For instance, what types of reverbs and delays are you using on your vocal? Anything in the way of EQ? Ducking? Things like that would be super helpful to see how the pros do it! :)

Thats great! I would love to hear what you've learned! It is hard to find good worship based audio production tips. For either live or studio recordings. I have seen some of the videos you mentioned in the past. But a really in-depth look would help greatly :)
