Two of the greatest shows ever!!!! Never forget the legendary Hercules & Xena!!!

Amazing fight scene! Those monsters are really scary 😨 but Hercules sorts them out, no problem! Amazing!

I remember when Hercules and Xena were around. They were probably the biggest shows on television during the 90s. Notice the tonal difference between them and post 9/11 shows. They were hopeful, optimistic, positive. The Hero always won.... Now everything is nihilistic, subverting expectations, doom and gloom. The Hero doesn't win. Sad how much the world has changed

Not to mention that a lot of hero shows (and movies) focus more on CGI instead of great storytelling... Hercules & Xena will always be timeless... Not to mention, it was really "must-see" when they had crossover episodes 👍🏾👍🏾... Kevin Sorbo will always be Hercules and Lucy Lawless will always be Xena 💯

This army of skeletal rabbit warriors is fun. The blind seer is fun. And Herc is ALWAYS fun.

These henchmen seem to be inspired by the 'dragon's teeth' soldiers from Greek mythology, specifically the story of the Golden fleece. The teeth are sown, and fully-armed soldiers spring up from the earth

2 of the shows that brought structure childhood I had to see every episode Saturdays were amazing back then

They’re like Lord Zedd’s putties when you beat them up and hit their center plate

So many memories

The Mole Men they're called according to the hercules action figure.

These moments captured my imagination as a teenager. I always loved it when Herc fought Hera's minions. In the early years, Hera was an unstoppable force of nature, but that didn't stop Herc's optimism about the world.

More like an evil force of "nature" Hera is. Taking out her vengeance on zeus out on Hercules and even not just Hercules but humanity.

The enemies were a bit silly at the start lol but it gets better as the show goes on.

likely those things were leather dummies created by Hera, because they were empty inside, anyway was a good fight, one of my favorite episodes of this iconic series.

Make it make sense Hera has all these temples and she be leaving Treasures around to be collecting dust but then she be wanting to have people killed when they touch her Treasures make it make sense. In this episode she was mad because somebody took her chalice and then in a later episode Salmoneus steals one of her treasures and she sends Nemesis after him. They're literally sitting there collecting dust she's not doing anything with them

Well if you have stuff you don't use you'd be upset if somebody stole them wouldn't you not that I like Hera she was a little jealous of Hercules and the attention Zeus gave him she forgave Hercules eventually though according to legend.

Hera is a petty hoarder, whose punishments for stealing her valuables (which were likely offerings/gifts in ages before Hercules) are often cruel and unjust.

NeallRC, Xena kills almost all of the Gods on her show, even though they were mostly Hercules' problem. She did also have to deal with Hera for an episode on the first season of her show, in which the same episode featured Hercules as well. They fought off Hera's minions to free Prometheus and restore humanity's ability to heal. I would've loved to have seen Xena take on Hera one on one.

Ares was the main big bad on her show, right ?

The only good thing in this program is watching Hercules. Those are some awful characters. When we were children my Mother would have forbade us to watch this. Too scary for children.
