What a fantastic and blessed piece of Americana we've all had the privilege to enjoy all these years. None better.

I agree. My sister had all his records beginning in the early 60's and I became a fan around '69. Just got Spotify and downloaded all of his studio albums. What a pleasure it is to hear this great music again, in high def. Next I'm going to download the Baja Marimba Band and some Sergio Mendez, two other favorites of my sister back in the day. My Dad wouldn't let us play rock n' roll(I had to hide my copy of 'Meet The Beatles') until I started high school, and I finally wore him down :-) But I'm glad, in a way. I was introduced to a lot of cool music in the 60's. Two other favorites were and are, Henry Mancini and Al Hirt.

My grandfather had an 8 track of Herb Alpert and the TB in his car and as soon as he got the car started the 8 track went in volume full blast windows down and cruising down the road. I miss those days.

I saw Herb Alpert and Lani Hall in Philadelphia in the spring and I agree - what a show. In an intimate setting it was one of the best I've ever seen and playing their CD is just the best. I loved Herb Alpert and the TJB from when I was a young kid and my dad bought the Tijuana Taxi "album." What wonderful humanitarians and keepers of the arts.
