I just learned color theory last year when my daughter was in her virtual class. I learned it from a third grade art class lol.

If you’re planning on going ice white blonde your first sentence of that plan should be “I’m going to book an appointment with my hairdresser” not “I’m going to go to Sally’s”

I love that you broke out the color wheel! That helps a ton with visualization of what the hair will look like after bleaching. I will use this!

I grew up poor and got a job as a cashier at a pharmacy my senior year. On my break I came across the hair color aisle. I knew nothing so I believed I could make my brown hair blonde like the girl on the box. I spent 6 weeks of my senior year with brassy florescent orange hair. Kids can be so mean. But I continued to color it blonde and by senior pictures I had a beautiful blonde head of hair. I only learned about hair when I came across you. Thank you. You have taught me so much. I go to a professional now.

Purple shampoo won't likely neutralize green. Most purple shampoos have a blue base. You would need to use a reddish violet colour... you could mix a colour like Artic Fox Violet Dream into white conditioner for a light reddish violet toning conditioner.

I love bleach fails. As someone who is 30+ and still makes hair errors (without booze) I always enjoy hair education 👍😂

I would also suggest Overtone toning conditioner. They came out with a pink conditioning toner exactly for blondes who go in chlorinated pools. I've used it and it does work! And its less damage than a toner, but definitely not as strong.

If you over tone or end up with that green grey silver result I suggest use a bleach bath and keep checking it every 5 minutes to get those colors out. Usually don't need to tone it after either! I learned this the hard way

Please can you do some videos on grey hair.. Naturally grey. I think hardly any hairdressers cover this.. Growing it out naturally, going shorter to complete the transition quicker, the make up of grey hair (how it differs to 'normal' hair when colouring) highlights to blend it in.. Anything is helpful, we're a forgotten crowd! X

@@abbiejo6822 gray is different from white hair. Pastels only show well on solid, as close to white hair, as you can get. Thisexare direct dyes, too.

I just subscribed to the travel channel. I can remember back in the 70’s my mom’s hair turned green. Luckily I could drive and I had to get her more hair dye. All I heard was a scream coming from the bathroom. 😜

Binging your videos and I just needed to say - psoriasis is why I only bleach my ends 😱 I cannot imagine putting bleach anywhere near my patches when I'm having a flair up

You said nobody is watching your videos but, here I am! I am from Spain and thanks to your videos I have half hair silver done by myself at home (I have very dark hair like a level 3). Now I'm treating my hair A LOT with olaplex but the result its so even and beautiful I think... So, thank you so much!

I was swimming at mg brothers and my blonde hair turned green! I did a apple cider vinegar wash. Alot of it came out! but omg. I’ll purple shampoo it as soon as I get home. Ahh!!!

Psoriasis… as a Nurse Practitioner I would say “Off to the salon young lady”! And if that is not convenient buy a wig and use it until you can get to a professional stylist. Sweetie you and your friend are beautiful so enjoy your life and invest in yourself with an education and an EXCELLENT stylist🥰

I always preferred 1-2 days between my rounds of bleach back in the day. The bleach on the scalp that's been stripped of oils, pores all open...it burns lol

I don't understand why these girls tone their hair after bleaching it when they know, or even if they think that, they're gonna need to bleach it again. You don't tone it until you're done bleaching your hair, right??? Once your hair is light enough to tone to the color you are aiming for??

I just found your channel but now whenever I do my roots all I'm going to hear in my head is you saying "SECTIONS"

I always use an ammonia free platinum box dye... It's Revlon Color Effects... Never hurt my head or hair at all.. I went to Sally's and bought an actual bleach pack and developer. First time ever I had an allergic reaction. Not just on my head, but my whole body .. 3 weeks later and I'm just now winning the battle with this rash .. From head to toe.. I'm sticking with Revlon from now on... May not be real bleach but it sure does do the trick to get platinum blonde .. Hats off to the brave souls who continue on through the painful bleach process .. I learned my lesson .. lol

Hi! You said in your other video not to bleach beyond your desired shade because then darkening it will look "hollow". In this vid, you said hair will always go orange or yellow and that can't be toned, it must be bleached again. If I wanted a light ash brown but when I get to that level its orange, my only option is to bring it to a level 9 or 10 and then darken it, right? Thanks for the video! I have TN and can't go to a salon. The info is super helpful.

Hello, thx for your question. If you want to go to red or orange, then you don't have to lift up to white, stop at red or orange. If you want to brown (not ash) don't bleach to a level 9. But if you wan't to get an ash brown, then you have to kill the red pigments and bleach 1 or 2 tones over your brown level. But it will fade faster.

this was ALOT of that girls annoying vibe, I love you hair buddha, I almost turned this off halfway thru and would've missed that amazing color wheel! (maybe just a smidge less of the random influencer next time and more buddha?) also am I the only one who winces when people rub their hair with a towel?

Me rn dying my hair and seeing that im doing everything wrong😮

My mom and her friend Twila decided to bleach their hair. My mom is black and Twila is white. Mom's hair turned red-blonde, which she already wore. Twila's hair turned green. Its summer in my state, so it was bright green in some places and others were more like a moss green. Years later my daughter's friend decided to bleach her hair then jump in the pool. Hair is now GREEN for the summer. These two incidents still make me laugh.

Aw man. I saw the first round of bleach and it looked so good! Like yeah absolutely needed another round but it was such a good, even start! And then I see her other friend absolutely ruining her hair.....

A similar thing happened to me. But now I want to colour it again and I'm not sure what to do. The lower half of my hair is still like a mint green colour (it's been like that for a few years)

My hair takes bleach really easily, for example once I did a bleach wash (a small bit of bleach w/ developer, with a huge amount of conditioner to "diffuse" it. Ratio being like 1 to 15. Yeah anyways my hair went white

Hi I just found your channel and I have a question, I have reddish brown hair and I want to go very natural light blonde. I am thinking of using schwarzkopf bleach to go very light (not platinum) and then a couple of days later deposit the schwarzkopf true beautiful honest tbh 9.06N, will that work? Pls help. I would prefer to go to a professional however there is not a schwarzkopf salon near me for over a 100 miles, it's not an option. Thank you
