Omg stop. The 90s was ratchet as hell. Stop being a toxic nostalgic person trying to shade millennials or Gen-Z because most of us aren’t out here truly living like that or having surgeries and if a woman want her body did she should do it for her own liking. Most younger people to busy trying to acquire wealth, not work for people, and businesses. Sex, dating, self care, etc is life when done in a healthy way to. Gen-X definitely was more wild it’s just y’all didn’t have the internet and advanced gadgets to show it like we have today. That’s why The TLCs had to make songs with messages for y’all to get y’all under control for the outrageous amounts of behavior because they had no social media to preach it to y’all. Labels made them make these songs for y’all to stop having sex or doing drugs because it was out of control back then. Y’all let them ratchet reality shows have y’all thinking all millennials and Gen-Z are out here like that, NO that’s that person life not regular people lives. There’s a lot of gorgeous women before, during TLC and after so stop trying to say these younger women aren’t gorgeous. They are pretty girls still today. TLC all was equally pretty women not just one. Being sexy, classy, or feminine is good when done in a healthy way for a woman, you don’t have to be walking around like a prude or a church girl because TLC was not prudes even though they kept their clothes on . Stop hating on other women assuming all is young women are on some damn stripper pole or have cosmetic surgeries. We all aren’t into sex work and watch yourself with this misogyny. I really love this technique! It is not heavy on the heating tools and comes out with lots of body, movement and shine without having to press the life out of a roller set then re-curl it again. That's makes me cringe seeing a roller set completely combed out flattened and curled again with more heat. This is beautiful and I hope to be able to do it on myself since I don't go to a stylist.

When I was relaxed that is the how I dried my hair 80 percent of the time. I would roller set on large rollers then wrap it. Omg the movement and volume lasted thru workouts and everything for up to 10 days.

This is exactly how my hair was straightened my entire life. Never had a relaxer, always was either curly or what my mom called a "light press!" 🇨🇺

@@Maybe433 we didn’t do saran wraps with Dominican style roller sets. just blow dry the roots or hair after and wrap in a doobie before you leave the salon

I’ve always loved Chili’s hair! 🥰🥰🥰 I also have those same hourglass tension rollers & I absolutely love them! It cuts down on the drying time, and the 1.5 hrs that she’s sitting is the same amount of time that I sit! 😊😊

There are videos on this channel (& her cousins @hairstylesbyeden) of women with 4c hair achieving similar styles. The shrinkage is real but a lot of us 4c girls have length and volume and have gotten similar results with a roller set and press.
