I was introduced to Jeremy's insane talent from Death Note: The Musical and became instantly obsessed. He can sing literally ANYTHING and embody any character. This is one of my new favorites. I can't believe I only just found it.

I figured after one year passing I would reiterate my unyielding devotion to this musical in the making. I am still floored by the artistry and talent behind ITL. Michal Mott knows how to create beautiful music and Jeremy Jordan knows how to bring it vocally, emotionally and powerfully. Thank you to everyone involved. Someday I will come to NY and see it on Broadway.

You and me both Steve ,I have seen a fair bit of theatre ." In the Light " surpasses many and at least equals the best .

His diction is perfect. I can understand every word.

This man's voice literally touches my soul. I have never heard anything more beautiful and this song is beyond words. Combined it is nothing short of stunning.

Could listen to JJ singing for days! What a voice!

I listen to this CD incessantly. I know this show will never come to Seattle with Jeremy in it, which breaks my heart. In 2019 I bought VIP tickets to see him at 54 Below. Then bought my plane tickets. Two weeks before his performance the show was canceled. He got another job or something. 54 Below was kind enough to refund my tickets but it was too late for me to change my travel plans. He was the only reason I went to NY and I never saw him. Soooo disappointed. I don't know if I will be able to afford another trip to NY to see him in "In the Light"...unless I win the lottery. 😪 Something to add to my bucket list I guess.

I can’t put into words what this song makes me feel. Trying wouldn’t do it justice. Just know that I think that it’s one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard. It’s love and freedom.

When talented people come together they create beautiful masterpieces like this one. The lyrics and music melt my soul, and the way Jeremy sings this it just makes it 10000 times more powerful and touching.

Truly beautiful. Love the way the piano accompaniment feeds the singer like a blood transfusion, complementing each other. A must for any keen singer/actor. Just brilliant!!

I have literally been absorbing this through my skin for the past few weeks. This music, and Jeremy's interpretation, are sublime and goose bump inducing. If you really enjoyed this, please share with people you know. This is a musical/movie crying out to be developed. This Faustian exposition demands a wider audience. Or...just close your eyes, sit back, and let this little piece of wonderfulness envelop you. Again and again.

I am literally obsessed with this musical. There are no words to describe how fervently in love with this I am. It is June of 2022 and I am still (im)patiently waiting for this to open on Broadway. This musical has reminded me of my passion for theater and why I love Broadway... It was always a dream of mine to be on Broadway but never had the guts to pursue it after having it drilled into me that I need to do something "practical" with my life. While I'm still pursuing theater and singing heavily on the side it's not quite the same... This has put passion back into my soul so thank you ❤️ is it too late for a 30 year old to try to live out her dream? 😭

I only knew the original lyrics, I am blown away by these new lyrics and how Jeremy sings them! Absolutely astonishing!

I thought the previous lyrics were incredible already, but- "now I leave a part of me in her embrace" ????? _aaaaaaah it's SO GOOD!!!_

We respect everyone’s view points, but this character is a scientist and is using science as his POV on the world. Therefore, the lyrics reflect his position.

@@MichaelMottComposer Of course I obviously don't expect everyone to share my beliefs (scientist or not), and I can especially understand the song is part of a character. I only meant that without the story behind it, it's not something that I personally can relate to. I'm very curious to see more of this project. I have been loving the music in various stages. I am curious though.... since you mentioned him being a skeptical/naturalistic/atheistic scientist... I am curious how he might confront a situation such as making a deal with the devil... one would think that if demons exist in this story, angels and God would exist... presumably, the Universe is the main character's stand-in? That's usually how people get around that in supernatural stories. I suppose it's done to be less controversial and such.

Nice song but needs some edge in lyrics and composition. If not performed by such a fantastic singer it would be a bit boring. Anyway ... is all the glitter in the video really neccessary? It makes the video look cheap and overly "cute" like a litte childs glitter stickers album.

Any news about it being on the BW for real? Any estimate of when we can see the actual play?
