A farm originally owned by Charles, born in 1915 and Mary, born in 1913. As well as this bungalow, a house also sat on the grounds which is where Charles & Mary lived. Just after having a daughter together in 1944 who they called Malerie. Charles and Mary split up; Mary stayed at the farm until she passed away in 1996 at the age of 82. Charles moved down to London which is where he resided until he passed away at the age of 64.
In 1967 daughter Malarie, married Gareth and they both moved into this bungalow on the farm. They had 1 daughter together called Kate.
This is where Kate grew up until she married Melvin and had children of her own and moved to Warwickshire.
On the 13th of July 1977 Gareth failed to display the operations licence on a motor lorry that he was driving. And then on the 26th July 1977 Gareth drove a motor lorry dangerously and carelessly. However, no action was taken on both offences.
In 2000 Gareth owned 6 different lands on properties and held the certificates for these. He rented out the land on the farm to a Garden Nursery family run business in which they are still there to date.
In 2010 Gareth passed away suddenly at home at the age of 66. Leaving a wife, daughter and grandchildren.
Malarie carried on living at the property until 2016 when she Haemorrhaged on the bed. After this she needed full time care and decided to never return to the bungalow again. Unfortunately, the sheets still lie on the bed now.
Malarie sadly passed away a few years later and was happy to be reunited with her first and only love Gareth.
Daughter Kate has finally decided the property needs to be cleared out after being left for so many years. Unfortunately, not much is salvageable.

I absolutely agree I'm the same. I 2ould LOVE to be someone who cleaned out old abandoned places even just to explore in them. But sadly sooo many are almost always vandalized and trashed picked apart. No respect for anything. All for mo reason really. Even old school buildings.

There's an old casino boat not far from the town I live in. It's located in Burlington. So much was just left behind. It's unbelievable. Things that could have and should have been donated to ppl less fortunate not just left to rot and wasted. I just don't understand the waste and destruction in America. Very very sad

Oh my that kitchen is filthy. How on earth do you allow your mother to live like that? I absolutely love your channel. You are the only channel that details any history you find, and go slowly with your cameras so we see everything. I wonder why Kate had never sorted this bungalow out? Years ago it could have been sold, and she could have enjoyed the money. Maybe it’ll be up to Kates children to sort all this out one day. There’s some lovely little treasures in there. Thank you so much 😊💖❤️💖

Found your channel today, it's fantastic! Love that you actually researched the history of the house and didn't just make up stuff. I really enjoy these kinds of videos, I've actually stopped watching a number of channels because even though they started out just exploring, so many start to make claims about property's like a murder happened there or they make claims that a home is haunted and its obvious click bait! I watch a lot of videos like this one and I find the homes that still have everything left there the saddest ones. It's so sad to see personal items left behind, you can see it was once a family home and seeing everything disintegrating and rotting away is heartbreaking. I love that you love all of the beautiful furniture, the dressing table in the bedroom is stunning and there's so many other pieces that are amazing, I'd love to have furniture like that. I have a sideboard I brought from a secondhand shop and it's so beautiful and made to last, not sure how old it actually is though. It's sad to see someone's possessions rot away, things they loved and had sentimental value. I hope the daughter manages to save some of the items, like the photo's and anything that means something to her. Great video, but so sad to see and thanks for actually showing us the items in the house, not just a quick glance at them. Definitely found yourself a new subscriber here, I'm in the UK too and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your explores.

Hello from Washington State, USA! I just found your channel via the comment section over at Finders Beepers History Seekers (they mentioned your Little Old Lady video), and so far I am hooked! That wood stove in the living room was the exact same model I had growing up. It was made by Fisher Stoves, and it was called the "Grandpa" model because it had the double doors. That thing did not eat wood: the screw-looking things on the lower part of the doors could be screwed open or closed to control air flow in and out of the stove. I didn't see one on their stovepipe, but ours had a damper flap that could be opened or shut to "keep the heat inside" the stove. If the damper was open, heat would go up the stovepipe. Keep the damper shut, and you could heat your entire house. You could throw a few pieces of wood into it at night, screw the air intakes down to barely open, and shut the damper. The stove was then "banked" for the night, and would just sit and kind of simmer, putting out nice heat all night long. In the morning you would rake the coals, throw in a little more wood, open up the air intakes, and get the thing roaring. We had brutal winters and used to cook on that stove a lot, too. Heat up water if the power went out, etc. It's an amazing piece of equipment. That stove is 100% cast iron, too, and I guarantee that it could be polished up again and put back in to use.

The detritus of a long life interrupted abruptly. Wow. It's amazing how quickly a place can fall into rack and ruin after its inhabitants leave. The woodstove is fantastic. And I chuckled over that first giant TV. It's probably from about 1995 and looks like the precisely same model we just unloaded to someone else for free. It was heavy! The picnic basket made me sad. I used to have a similar one. At any rate -- there are many nice things that are still salvageable in there and many things that are not including the bungalow itself most likely. Thank you for the thoughtful tour.

The downstairs reminded me of the house I grew up in. I’m in MN, USA and I was born in 1983. The house I grew up in, till I was 13, was built in 1902. It was insulated with horse hair. We didn’t have money to redo anything, so the winters were cold and summers were hot. We lived on a farm and where the chicken coop was, they used to make coffins back in the day. When the road would flood, the old wood planks would come up from the railroad that had been there. Watching your video makes me wanna look up the history of our old home.

Thanks Megan for the information on this abandoned Property, it's a sad story & its Sad that this has been Abandoned for a long time & homes are just left to Rot I'ts heartbreaking to see this home in this state for its Age it should be an historic building it should be protected Cleaned renovated & restored I hope you 2 Aren't squeamish regarding spiders & there webs? Spiders don't bother me I have a suggestion for you Both if there is any black mould in any of the 2 Properties please wear proper masks as your safety Should always be top priority, there are a lot of items That can be salvageable really old items should be in a museum the Peter rabbit books original are worth money I have the whole set of 31 little Beatrix Potter books mine are worth £30 but I'd never sell them I will hand them down to 1 of my adult children, this home definitely needs a clean I would bring my hoover I think it definitely should be renovated there are lots of homeless people I'm from the UK & I think that all abandoned homes should definitely be renovated and People should live there there is loads of Abandoned homes & Buildings left to Rot in the UK & in the rest of the world they should be recycled & reused instead of Been left to Rot, did you check to see if there's water & electric still works? If you 2 had a UV light it would show up the blood it's so sad to see & that it's just left on the I think the last living relative should declutter this home & clean & renovate & sell it that's definitely blood.

All of the brown all over the wall, cabiettes, and ceilings, suggests the residents were heavy smokers.

Malerie had to spend her final years in her home in a very sad way. She most likely dealt with a hoarding condition and used toaster oven to heat her meals. Although there was food in the cupboards she may not have cooked much by the condition of the kitchen. Sad how someone's life can change in their later years to one in which most can hardly believe or accept to be true. Thanks for sharing.

The blue flowered vase on the desk where all the pictures were stacked looks like it might be an urn with someone's ashes because it has a lid on it.

I've seen someone else explore this same house. I can't mistaken the bloody bed, the music box and the rainbow looking design in the "kids" room. The only thing this video didn't mention anything about was how Many guns there was in this house. The other video I seen showed many guns left behind in this home.

Always get permission to enter people's property. Leave it as you find it, unless the owner tells you otherwise. It is their property. Some do defend their property!!
