In this video meet Chris, often known as the Blind Woodturner in the Visually Impaired community.
In this episode, Chris shares his experience and challenges with his sight loss. Chris talks candidly about the initial impact his sight condition had on him and the anxiety he suffered when he lost his vision. Chris talks about the support he availed of and his family support network who helped him through challenging times.
Chris tells his inspirational story of how he became known as ‘The Blind Woodturner’ after starting a KZread channel about his passion for woodturning which he learned after losing his vison. After achieving his wood turning accreditation in 2019, Chris has become the first blind person to be awarded the title ‘registered professional turner’
InSights are intimate personal stories of sight loss from individuals sharing their greatest challenges, their greatest fears, their darkest times and how they overcame them and moved forward in their lives.
