That’s been my theory. That’s why I think they picked the actor with such a resemblance to Henry. I think it’ll be revealed that the timeline changed after flash and the current heroes are the younger versions of the DCEU. With events happening differently in this timeline. It would surprise the audience in the future when they see Henry Cavill and maybe Ben/Gal show up in a Justice League Kingdom Come movie.

It’s not really Kingdom Come Superman. KC takes place in a future with superhero’s that are sort of like The Boys, where superhero’s are just horrible at their job and sometimes borderline evil, and Superman comes out of retirement to show the world what a hero should be. It’ll sort of be like that in reverse and a little bit lighter, where Superman is just starting out and becoming a different type of superhero.

@@BaithNa Cavill value increased greatly with the Witcher, Man with Uncle, Mission Impossible, etc. He is a great actor but was asking for more money before the Witcher. Cavill is worth it; but WBD/DC are on a budget. Paying Cavill would take greatly from the budget of the movie.

I think Cavill will definitely appear in the DCU considering he had not taken down his IG post about coming back as Superman. My thoughts on who he could be in this universe are: 1. A Superman from another Earth; 2. Apollo from The Authority who is similar to Superman; or 3. Any other DC character similar to Superman. Heck I’d like him to be this Universe’s Shazam

I don't know what to think. I don't think James Gunn is a good fit for DC; he was great for Marvel, and, yes, I know some fans like both, but generally, DC fans aren't that big on Marvel and vice versa. It also looks like they're going to oversaturate this movie with a ton of characters when it should be a stand-alone Superman movie. So, we'll see.

Not necessarily. the point of the film is Superman teaching others how to genuinely save people. Having more superhero’s to match that dynamic makes sense. also, the cast isn’t that huge. there’s superhero’s in the film but it isn’t astonishingly huge.

People need to put the copium down. Lmao Also, regarding the confusion surrounding "Peacemaker". Season 2 isn't directly connected to Season 1, or "The Suicide Squad. It's literally a second season in name alone-- while also being the first season within the DCU not connected to the DCEU's first season in any way EXCEPT for actors. It's not that hard to wrap your head around. And I feel James Gunn's mainly doing it because John Cena is so perfect in the role, that it simply wouldn't make sense to recast. Not only that, but Cena's contract probably still owes him an appearence/ a season. So, James Gunn is just trying to make the best out of an already confusing situation.

The DCU starts with Creature Commandos and the first movie is Superman. Blue Beetle will carry over like the cast of Peacemaker but that movie wasn't part of the DCU.

Well, from Corenswet's Superman appearance, he looks like 52 Superman. Which means Cavill could show up as the Black Suited Superman, which FUSES with 52 Superman, creating the Rebirth Superman in the comics. That way Cavill can still be part of Superman, at least in terms of symbolism and importance. That way he can still be a part of Superman and his story, even though he's not physically part of the new universe after that point. Technically he'd still be a part of it. Or he can play Superman's brother, Thomas Kent...😅

It can't be Henry cavills Superman for one David corrnswet is taller than Cavill. David is 6'4" Cavill is 6'1"

This film is already packed with characters. Putting Henry cavil as Ulysses is overkill. You already have Rick flag sr, JL characters, an authority member, creature commandos characters are allegedly in this and it’s rumored that peacemaker or Amanda Waller is in this. This feels more like a dc crossover movie event instead of a Superman movie.

That would drive the Snyder Minions over the edge. I think it would be a bad idea. They need more of a clean break.

Before rebooting Superman, they needed to FINISH the Snyderverse. Don't leave people on a cliffhanger and never end it. but WB and DC executives have shown us that they have no brains, so, nothing new here. Sorry to say but this new Superman movie looks like a little kids cartoon made into live movie. The costumes are worse than Halloween costumes form a cheap store, and the "bring back" the red underwear is just stupid for the 21st century. Unless there is a big secret for the movie and when it comes out we all get a big surprise about the entire DCEU/DCU that really makes fans and everybody else be interested on it... the movie will flop... again.

There is so much hype to this movie that they're going to ruin this film.
