It’s expensive but it’s really nice,I’ve tried many leading Cognac brands (Remy Martin,Martell, Courvoisier both VS and VSOP versions) and also many cheap ones but imo nothing come close to Hennessy.

I've never had Cognac, but I've tried regular brandy, along with apple and apricot flavours. Don't care for regular, but the other fruit flavours are good. May buy an orange from our liquor store soon. It's the only flavour they have besides regular and cognac. Thanks for the video.

cognac is a type of brandy which is any distilled spirit from different fermented fruit juices so maybe Hennessy is fermented with apples :D like special k said it taste like apples

I feel like every alcohol is an acquired taste. The first time you try something new, you probably won't like it.

Whiskey can also be a good sipper depending on what your getting/getting it for. You can slug down a bottle of JB white label, but you wouldn't really do it with more expensive bottle.

I tried this for the first time last night. Smells like white grapes, and it's a light gentle smell. I was PUMPED to taste it after that smell but shocked when I did. It's horrible! Didn't taste anything like the smell to me.

i love how you do the tests in such a way that the drink has to speak for itself. youre not treating the Hennessy like its fucking gold. you taste it, and you review it. a drink from a kitchen glass is the same drink in a cognac glass.

Up here in Canada that bottle is $24.50

I just bought one of those 50ml bottles of Hennessy and it was just under $4. First time trying it, it wasn't bad at all. The smell kinda reminded me of a wine. There was plenty of alcohol burn on this one. I drank it straight. Lately mixing drinks hasn't worked well for me. For that my go to is Vodka and Squirt. Fresca may work there as well.

Our Walmarts cant sell liquor, the cheapest I have ever seen it was 36 at total wine.

I have to have a VSOP+ cognac, imo most VS cognacs are very basic. If you want something that has 10x more flavour and is literally half the price try St Remy XO(it’s a brandy not a cognac but it is better than 90% of VS cognacs!)

Johnnie Walker Blue Label and Ghost is all I go for. You should try one of the Ghost releases.

I really don't get the price complaints, you're buying the rock bottom cheapest drink they offer. It's simply not that good, VSOP is so much better and you do get quality for your money. VS is cheap and tastes pretty cheap.

It's a question of taste too I guess and I'm partial to the brand, hate rap/rnb though. It's a little bit more expensive than Courvoisier and Remi-Martin offerings, are you referring to that price difference? Otherwise, I don't think the comparison stands, Cognac from the big houses is not equivalent to tequila.

Good stuff. As far as I’m concerned your not a human unless you’ve had this beauty. Used to drink the V.S.O.P everyday 7 days a week after working a 12 hour shift for 2 years before I got on the XO. Knob creek 120 proof is my shit now though. So strong. Good stuff. Peace

@@Batman96925624 🤣😂nah barley even an 8th of what I get paid. Knob creek 120 is like $64-70 for 750 ml though, Least around here it is. not exactly a lightweights kinda drink. Wouldn’t recommend mixing, wouldn’t recommend if you like mixing. Haven’t touched that sweet stuff in a minute though. That’s a special occasion beverage. Did just attend a true Irish wedding recently though and boy do those boys know how to drink. I’m 6’7” nearly 220 lbs, like water to me. Usually drink beer these days though. About 30-40 a day. Most I’ve ever had was 110 in one sitting. Good stuff.

Also got same small bottol Hennessey Very SPECIAL COGNAC. I was only able to handle 3 sip. I put it in fridge n tried mixing with cold coke but didn't improve anything atall.Later i feet sick and want to vomit. Too bad bottle looked really nice.

I just bought that half pint and drank it all. Didn't even really get drunk. Worth the 11 almost 12 dollar price? 🤔😂 No alcohol burn. Just really warm. And the Hennessey almost had a syrupy consistency . Thick. Smells like figs possibly. And raisins.

If its your first experience with cognac wait until you get the occasional shot of rosie sweet fruit taste. It can be very complex. And the more the price the more the complexity. Hence the reason you do not want to kill it with mixes and lose all that. Throw in a cigar and it you can have a great debate on whether its better than sex or not. I say that depends on if its sex with your wife or with your mistress.

Hennessy is pretty good, but way overpriced. I swear the only reason it is so expensive is because most rappers reference it in their songs. It cost about the same in Maryland, and I bought the same size bottle. Handles are like $90 here. that's absurd, but I have seen people buy it.

It's really not that Strong, you want strong, get absinthe which has twice as much alcohol, or everclear which has almost 3 times the alcohol, also cheaper.

The taste ain't so great at first but the drunk is. N it taste better the more u drink it lol

It is too expensive, 15 bucks for a half pint, I can get an entire fifth of a lot better quality booze for 12 bucks, is Hennessy good? Yes, but they get away charging obscene prices, thanks to shitty rappers and celebrities. It's worth 22 bucks a fifth max.

+Axel M. There are a lot of other spirits out there that are way better and more reasonably priced. Examples, woodford reserve is 29.99 a fifth, Bombay sapphire gin 22 dollars, etc, I honestly thinks it's overpriced due to hype. Appreciate the comment!
