The two-day Hemis Tsechu is one of the most important and well-known Buddhist festivals in the trans-Himalayan belt. People from across the globe participate in the festival which is celebrated at the historic Hemis monastery
The Chhams (sacred mask dance) performed by the monks are the major highlight of the festival
