Georgia girl here... I've seen all our waterfalls and my family's favorite would have to be a hidden gem called Angel falls. We camp right beside the small waterfall at the trails head in Lake Rabun campground Dnr. It's deep in the Chattahoochee national Forest so the campsites are very basic and full of wildlife! My kids love playing in the water at the base of the falls and walking the cold creek looking for crawdaddies. Best place for peace, family's and pets!

I want this to be one of my stops during my upcoming planned trip to and from Indiana were during the trip I would be staying 3 or 4 days per stop taking my time getting there with 4 to 5 hours drive times in the mornings so I could enjoy each location and not get burnt out driving or pushing myself. But I do not know about getting the discounts like I do here in Florida in other states. Do you know Military and or legal disability discounts in these states off the top of your head by memory or do you not use discounts? Where exactly are these falls? I am hoping they are not far off the route up to Indiana from Florida and back as they look amazing.

It looks like it's not far off the route to Indiana near the Tennessee border. Northern Georgia where you are is very beautiful without question and from what I can tell, it would be my 3rd. stop over going up. I need to find a nice campground on my first stop just going across the Florida Georgia line, my second stop would be just past Atlanta and northern Georgia or just inside Tennessee would be my third stop over I think. But it is on the way which is nice. I am looking at it being a month trip to and from so I may cut the stop overs down to 2 days each instead of 4 as I need at least a week to 10 days with family up there so kinda determining the route. I will be putting a 1,200 watt solar system with a 15 hour battery pack for night use in the RV before setting off just in case I need to stay somewhere that does not offer electric just in case is all. But you know as well as I do, these nice places offer electric on sites. In Florida, they do not require residency but you could get Military discounts or legal disability discounts of 50% off. Nice state parks could range $9 to $12 dollars for the most part. $16 a day/night at rainbow springs and $18 a day/night in any of the keys down to key West. But the average of nearly every state park even on the beaches are $12 day/night with electric, water and everything in case you are a vet or legal disability or can utilize these benefits of a family member. My son uses my benefits often and the parks allow it.
