I watch this to help my girlfriend I know I can’t fix her, but I love her so much. We’re at a distance because of your busy work schedules. But I want to be there for her, make here feel like she has someone by her. I’ve found comfort in that’s I’m not alone and that this relates to a lot of people. It know it’s tough man. My girlfriends also has one and it hurts seeing her survive off only some M&M’s at times. The best thing you could do for her sister is offer something to eat and being moral support. And about the not telling each other part. The Hardest part Is starting, we were in the exact same predicament! Start with “I have something to tell you” and she’ll know what’s up! Hope the best for both of you :)

I'm dealing with a depressive person, she needs constant approval otherwise she feels sad about her flaws, she doesn't text often, I have a feeling that I am dealing with the bomb sometimes because I have to watch what I say at all times. I'm happy to find this. Finding out my loved one had problems like this can put a big toll on you sometimes. I do care for him and all the stuff he been though and poor decisions in life he made permanent and minor. If we can set healthy boundaries. I feel like he just forced himself to do things you don't want to do but you can be hard on anyone and I want him to do better with us as a family instead of trying to impress others.

  • @unknownmessenger8644

You are a great person for being so caring and making sure your loved one has a good support system! Thank you for being so considerate and just know that it does matter and we all greatly appreciate you! I feel like maybe he's trying to impress others because he could be looking for acceptance in society or because he just wants his life to matter. A lot of depressed people simply just can't find happiness in the world so they just try to do different things to help with the mental pain or to feel like their life has a purpose. The best thing that you can do is show your loved one that no matter what problem he is going through; you will always be there for him regardless if you agree with him or not. Giving positive reinforcement to show that you really care about him will hopefully get him to open up more about his problems. When I talk to people, I usually always try to focus on the positive things that I like about their personality (not physical appearance or intelligence) because life does not always give us what we want but it does give us who we are. And we should always love who we are! People will sometimes open up about their problems if they feel we won't criticize them or they feel like we genuinely care about their well-being. I'm sure everything will work out! Take care buddy and continue to support your loved one. We are here for you if you need any kind of support yourself or you just want to be reminded of how important your life is. Don't ever feel like you are alone because our blessings are always with you. Stay awesome and keep your head up! Everything will be okay!

it's deflating that people know and just don't feel I'm worth attempting to help. every hour is a battle. people who know me personally seem to care the least about me. I actively follow the online advice and it all just feels like a prank. fighting depression is insanity when you don't have a real support system of people who see you as a person and not a burden, client, or obstacle.

I am watching this to help my mom. She is not suicidal yet but it looks on outside that she is fine but she is not . I see her crying every night due to my parents problems at workplace . She jokes like a normal person but when I see it clearly she is not happy or she is trying to be happy . She tells me that she wants to runaway to a place where nobody can find her . She keeps on insisting that she is worthless and useless. I myself had a mild experience with depression but I was able to recover very easily as it had started due to my study pressure and it took me about 2-3 weeks to get out of it . But she is suffering from it since a long time. When she was young her family used to call her fat and till now even if she is in completely healthy cataegory she keeps on saying she is fat and ugly . And I really don't know how to help her because she doesn't want to share her problems with me or anyone. I have been trying to get her to talk to me but everytime she just says that I am too young to know all the things. She doesn't want to talk to somebody else also . Please if any of you have a similar experience or know how I can help her please do tell me.

I am 20 years into a marriage with someone with major depression. I feel terrible to say it but I am exhausted and just want to be with someone who isn't depressed the majority of the time. She gets extremely angry and yells about trivial things too, so not only am I trying to support her I'm being yelled at while doing so, sometimes in front of other people. I feel trapped and just want to be with someone I can enjoy life with, but at the same time I don't want to give up on her. Is it bad to want better for myself? Sometimes I wonder if she'd be better off without me, especially now that I'm having these feelings. It is a really sad situation and I honestly don't know what to do

I am watching this for myself. I was daignosed with MDD earlier and now PTSD .I needed a friend to be watching this for me but most of them think it’s some joke and I’m just poorly behaved . Unfortunately it’s a « shameful > thing to deal with a mental issue, the battle to act normal and die inside so people don’t think you are mad . Therapy has been very slow and my doctor advised i should slow down on my anti -depressants. To all those out there dealing with MDD out there I wish you strength and courage and supportive and understanding environment. Depression is hard , it kills

I'm a person going through depression, So What I would say to others, (I hope it helps u) I got depressed about 4 months back, due to.my exam I did, It was Unfair,Unorganised one unfortunately becoz my exams were cancelled due to the shitty covid-19 I had to with Assessed results! The exam was So bad, becoz of the exam I missed the things I wanted but everyone had, I actuallyasked but indirect & didn't get it from my parents! I was completely broken, Unfortunately my 🏡 had repairs specially my room, Had to renovate, So we used to move to my granny home (the next door) where we had to sleep there in the nights, I found it frustrating Coz I had to leave early to sleep (I'm nocturnal 😅) So the room was not much maintained it was difficult for me then when the renovation started We had to shift there itself, So Since I was already depressed on things after going there there was nothing so I stick on the depression, The nothingness made it more worse, After sometime I was ok, But actually no, I started to hate the thing I love, I was like no need, I was like, "If I didn't get that (previous thing I wanted) so this is not big as that for me" but still wanted this too @times no need, But then Also I was like wait not now, Then I was like wait for the opportunity to come so that I can ask, but it didn't come, so then after some time I missed this too! It was really painful, left me in guilt. In every I could Have got my parents too could hv allowed & liked it for sure, But.... I missed it! I'm depressed! So Here's my Advice, If u missed/lost something u really need Fine leave it it's difficult to cope but leave it if its solvable OK, if not but only by 1% that too like fantasy leave it I know it would hurt like anything but leave it gone is gone, leave it! Go to the next, specially if u got the chance to get the new thing, just grab it, no matter what Just "ASK" it would be difficult to ask pervious incident may come to ur min while asking but it's OK, don't we do things we don't like @ times just think like that & Ask (directly) Don't wait for opportunity to come & ask using that! Ask done. Also Don't think by yourself "no this right,I Don't want" deep breath & discuss with the peroson whom u are going to ask it can be no matter big or small, Yes or No there decision, if u hesitate to ask, then its gone. it will hurt u, then u will realise how much u wanted it, had dreams on it finally lost it. It's too late & gone, So don't stick onto one thing U didn't have Try to hv the other, "Ask"! Ps. I know it's too long, difficult to understand But it will help u

My wife and I have been together for 15 years and we have 2 daughters. She experienced "bouts" of depression for years well before we got together. She wasn't experiencing any symptoms again until after our 2nd daughter was born and had very bad postpartum. She hasn't been the same since. She has suffered with MDD for about 10 years now and it has been hard on all of us. Last week, I thought I had reached my breaking point and we talked about splitting up. What kind of husband and father would I be if I just gave up on the most important people in my life without doing my research to find ways to cope? This is why I'm here.

I need help... well not me but I have a friend who is drowning in depression, I 13(f) and her 13(f) only met early this year between friends, the more I got to know her the more I saw, she comes to school only a few days a week, she doesn't really take care of herself, like brushing and washing hair, washing clothes, eating great.. she has terrible grades because of this and in our friend group really only I noticed, everyone else only thinks she's lazy, I often ask how she is doing and before she would lie but recently before summer started she slowly opened up, she told me she got diagnosed with depression, I tried to help her but nothing helps, she is also addicted to her phone and will never get off of it, she also hyper fixates on something anime, stranger things, TikTok, drawing sometimes, and I am scared for her health, recently something was really wrong so I told her I had a gut feeling something was wrong and it turns out I was right, her mom recently told her she was going to divorce her dad, and that made it really bad, she never really goes outside or does anything all day, she has a pretty bad home life, not being abused or hurt but just no one caring or trying to help, she has only opened up to me in the group because she knows the others wouldn't understand, this has really been crushing me internally because I want to help but I don't know how she also has insomnia and doesn't sleep till around 3-5 and her health is determinating? Everything I try doesn't really help. Typing this really let a lot of my back since I had to keep this a secret or our trust will be destroyed, can anyone help me??

There is a great question that i heard. You are a parent on an airplane with your child(ren) suddenly you need to put on your oxygen mask. Who do you put it on first? Your child(ren) or yourself? The answer is: Yourself. You can’t help your child(ren) if something happens to you so you first need to put on the mask on yourself. Same with this. You want to help/support someone with depression make sure to take good care for yourself as well. Stay strong and stay healthy everybody ❤❤❤

Let me make this very clear to All. Only in Jesus Christ of Nazareth can heal your depression 100% Depression is spirit and it needs you to get right with God, repent of all known and unknown sins and trust God for your healing. Cry out to Him, ask for His help and pray using the Blood of Jesus to cleanse yourself after receiving Jesus Christ as your Saviour.. Then it will be gone and no trace will be found. In Jesus there is security as He died for humanity and loves us so much. Jesus Christ is our Peace. Thank you.
