Үй жануарлары мен аңдар
Today we are talking about useful strategies and techniques for helping your dog deal with Fourth of July and/or other high stimulation holidays and social events.
I hope you guys enjoy!
This channel is devoted to providing a window into the life of professional dog trainer, Stonnie Dennis. I talk about dog training, boarding, health, equipment, and all the things that go into owning and running a successful dog training and boarding kennel.
At our kennel we place special emphasis on helping dogs reach their full potential through the use of physically and mentally demanding activities. Our primary goal is to help families raise happy, healthy, well socialized, canine companions.
We especially love training Labrador Retrievers, so don't be surprised when you see Labs of every age, size, shape, and color!!!

Are you a fan of my training style, but can’t travel to Kentucky to see me in person? No worries! I offer an awesome online dog training course, which includes access to an array of exclusive videos and content, personalized coaching, journaling, and in-depth mentoring and evaluation by yours truly! Just need some an advice or have a couple questions you need answered? I also offer professional consulting by the hour. Both of these great services can be found here: kentuckycanine.com/onlinecoaching. Thank you all for your remarkable support over the years! I cannot express enough how grateful I am for your appreciation and patronage of this channel, my training style, and my kennel. Always remember, it’s a great day for a puppy-sized adventure! -Stonnie Dennis, Dog Trainer
A loud shop fan placed in the house will drown out firework noise and dogs will sleep. I had 10 dogs on July 4th. No problems. It worked great! Thanks Stony
As always, Stonnie does a great job explaining a dogs perspective and why the owner is the key to a great dog. Train your dog with everyday expectations in mind! Thanks, Stonnie! Have a great fourth!
Happy Independence Day!! Great message, great introduction. You're a good man , Stonnie!

Funny, all the black Labs were first in your wife’s pool. I agree, exercise is the key to a pleasant disposition and good health... for dogs and people too. I want some of that black Lab love! There is little risk in getting bit by such a loving breed. Most dog breeds, I would not do that. Mr. No Name and Henry? No problem, right? Always enjoy your words of wisdom on life. Another great fine video. Having a great relaxing Independence Day! 🇺🇸❤️🧨💥🎉🍻👍🇺🇸

LOL at my wife’s pool. You sir, have an exceptional amount of insight into my marriage...
Uncle Stonnie, Don't listen to the people about what to put in or leave out of your videos. 1 if they don't like what you have to say (DON"T WATCH), 2 have them make their own video (I"M SURE NO ONE WILL WATCH IT)! Have a happy and safe 4th!
I love your shirt and your values I wish I new you when I had my dog
I really appreciate the great advice Mr. Stonnie. I have a Border collie that is terrified of fireworks. We found something that worked for her. A ton of exercise on the fourth and we gave her a treat called Heavenly Hound around 8pm and mix boiled chicken breast with her meal. Every time someone shot off a bottle rocket we have her a small dog treat. She did great! We tried everything exercise CBD oil, puppy Prozac tranquilizers and other advice from our vet but nothing worked until now.
Lol, my dogs have always loved being sprayed by water
Love the videos stonnie! You seem to really crack me up Everytime I watch your vids 😁 keep up the awesome content man! Love the humour 🙌 LOVE the grill as well.. WOW😍
Nice holster! Thanks for what you do in helping us with our pups...

Happy Independence Day, Stonnie and family! Another great video.
😂😂your daughter smacks the dog trying to steal her dolly 😂😂 at the end there😍
I got a blog forwarded to me from another trainer. They explained how fireworks assault 4/5 of the dog's senses and begged people to not take their new puppies to the boom shows. Sight: Pretty obvious. Light and something growing like a peacock's tail is seen as aggression. Smell: Nothing has a more intense sensation than the smell of burning sulfur. Touch: Their whiskers are really sensitive so the concussion can be overload. Sound: Pretty obvious.
I love your shirt I wish I new about you when I had my dog
Happy July 4th Stonnie and Family. Love the videos!

Happy Independence Day to you as well!
Awesome video....and fabulous tips!! I take puppy down our main street (mountain tourist town in CO) 2 to 3 times per day. The goal is 100 pets by tourists and locals per day. Since we've had the puppy (May), I've been gradually increasing the volume of playing fireworks and gun fights from youtube on our tv. This 4th, we took puppy to our neighbors rooftop deck to watch fireworks and he ended up caring less about the fireworks, lights, and explosions; he really just wanted to play with his leash and greet the other people that were there. He was in and out of his crate throughout the day due to the various social gatherings. I ended up only getting him 2 long walks. He was crated for almost 1.5 hrs before we determined that it is ok to bring him to a dinner party. So, he was rested and actively greeting other people at the party. Next year, I will walk him just prior to the gathering and bring him to the gathering in the beginning.
Love it
Love Love Love and Shared Shared Shared Happy Birthday USA !
Ever since my black lab puppy was 8 weeks old every time I gave him his breakfast or supper I would shoot off a few rounds on my dollar store cap gun... It's perfect we watch the fireworks together 😅☺️😅
HAPPY FOURTH Stonnie and crew!

@@StonnieDennis Love your content. Your instruction has been very helpful in training my lab mix (4 mos). He's not very food driven and gets nose deaf, so im just trying to have patience and consistency. Small, but noticable improvements
Far in the jar. Like that one.
I smell Hippies !
The video cut out around 4min??
Hi there we have 2 female rescued dogs one older and we don't know the age(coco) and the other one is marco and she is 1 and half years old. They don't get along. The marco is a fearfull dog. Marco don't want to go outside for walk i have to forcefully drag her. She does not let me put on or take off her coller she gets agressive inside the house but once she outside i can touch her collar. Marco is not very social and avoid strangers. When she sees some strangers she tries to run inside the house thats why she can not enjoy a proper walk. When she is sleeping u can't touch her she snabs. Please help us with your professional opinion

Oh what a great shirt “I smell hippies! “!
@ 8:02 Stonnie why was that black lab coming up to you snarling his teeth when you were rubbing on the bigger black lab? Did you notice that Stonnie? He was also trying to chomp on you but missed lol. Did that lab have too much Shine? Go check it out Stonnie it starts @ 8:02 Showing teeth coming at you from the left of the screen the smaller black field lab. lol
LMAO, white lightning.
Help my husband deal with Halloween kids.
To far into their jar🤣
Those dogs seemed to have fond memories of you being sloppy drunk lol

WHY would I want my dog around inebriated people? I think your dog deserves better. I got attacked and bit by a fool woman's DOG. SHE was "socializing" her foully behaved Red Heeler/Pit Bull mix AT AN OUT OF DOORS TAVERN. He went RIGHT for my large pup Malinois's THROAT, without any provocative behavior on our part. My dog was LEASHED SITTING ON MY RIGHT SIDE. I JUST barely managed to get my hand over my dog's exposed NECK. HE GOT A TRIANGULAR WOUND/RIP. My dog is alive, BUT REACTIVE NOW. I have a permanently WEAK HAND NOW. I have a SCAPHOID BONE HAIRLINE-FRACTURED Hand. I LOVE YOU STONNIE. BUT, UNLESS YOU'RE TRAINING FOR A WAR DOG, THE DOGS SHOULD BE PUT UP FOR FUN Fireworks EVENTS THAT ARE HUMAN PARTIES and DUE CARE IS VERY DIFFICULT. NOT "SHOUTING 😋" JUST A TINY PHONE.
Love your videos but a bit too long.

Dude, they are exactly the right length. If you want shorter videos, watch a different channel; simple, no?
Im subscribed to you because of your great dog videos, not your politics. If you want to push your agendas that's fine but make a separate video for that. Don't post a video about keeping your dogs happy and healthy and the first minute of the video is preaching.

I’ll keep making videos like I like to make videos and you can choose to watch or not watch. Why in the world would you think that your opinion matters to me, or to anyone else for that matter? Now, I don’t edit comments, so you are free to type whatever you wish. Just keep in mind that there is a giant divide between how much people care about your opinion and how much people care about mine. If you want your opinion to matter then start producing content instead of simply consuming and complaining.
