Hi bug, I have the Akrapovic exhaust on my Sei Giorni. Does it look awesome? Yes. Does it sounds awesome? Absolutly. Is it worth The money? Absolutely not 😅😂 I even changed the db killer for a wider diameter. Next mod; better shocks to have more comfort when I drive it with two persons… at least thats what they say.

I lived through the Mods and Rockers era here in the UK. Sorry to say, but Vespas weren't considered as cool as Lambrettas. Rockers were known to remove the bulbous Vespa side panels and stamp them as flat as possible. Mods also adorned the front of their scooters with as many mirrors and spotlights as possible, including a fly-screen. On the rear, they fixed a whippy tank aerial with a furry tiger tail attached.

No stickers, pristine Bianco Innocenza. No stickers! Sans stickers. Put a sticker on your helmet! Yes smoke windscreen. I have the full windscreen due to I'm 125 lbs 5'5" and the wind beats me up! Yeah there is some windy sound but that's from wind hitting my helmet. Am having the oil pan site glass installed next trip for service!

Another thought provoking Vespa video. Coincides with a script I'm writing about consumption therapy.... Stickers --- UGH. I don't understand it. I put an STP sticker on the side window of my '62 Ford Falcon 4-door when I was in high school. That was to get a girlfriend. Not sure why men put stickers on Vespa scooters. Seems redundant. Exhaust -- I like my scooters silent. Every Vespa I've ridden with aftermarket exhaust systems seem obnoxious. Performance? The GTS is good enough as is. Tires -- I considered knobby tires when I was doing a lot of off-road riding but laziness kept me from completing that endeavor. I did however run snow tires. Heidenau K66 Snow Tex tires. They were aggressive, lumbering to the point that I had to adapt my riding to them, and great on cold, wet, snowy roads. Still sucked on packed snow and ice. I bought studs for them but the laziness thing came into play again... Windscreen -- yes, I have a low one. Purely cosmetic. Other mods -- heated grips. Top case. Tucano Urbano muffs and apron for winter riding. Front rack for hauling watermelons. That's about it for me.

I LOVE that you have a rack specifically for watermelons. I'm considering a top case. I can't really find a bag that I really like, and the top case just seems logical. I'm going to try and make one from wood and leather in the next couple of weeks, and when that turns out terribly, I'll probably hit ScooterWest up for something purpose-built.

Stickers help you identify your bike when there are 3+ stock bikes parked next to each other. I like 1-2 tastefully placed stickers. I’m planning to put a giant sticker on my bike to change the color because I hate the stock colors. Essential add ons: heated grips, extra loud horn, helmet rear light, crash bars.

G'day from the old duck downunder, as for stickers a somewhat contentious subject, some like and others don't. I Have stickers on my windscreen the scooter is a 2006 Vespa GTS 250ie and goes very well. I haven't modded it at all however the previous owner put a medium wind screen, Malossi rollers and variator a LiPo battery as well as a set of Oxford heated grips the Oxford heated grips are good however I will more than likely fit a set of handlebar muffs just to stop the wind chill. Take care and enjoy.

Get the site glass oil pan. It's an easy install and saves you from the continual swearing while trying to get your dipstick in & out. Match it up with a black clutch cover at the same time. I put an Akrapovic exhaust on my Sei Giorni. Looks really good, sounds a bit "throatier" but does nothing else and was $$$. So yes, you need that too.

I don't have a vespa, but I have stickerbombed the heck out of my scoot. I wasn't going to, but I laid it down, and that was cheaper than new fairings. I do plan on getting a vespa in the future though, and I only have one sticker in mind. Then after that, no more (unless I end up laying it down too)

Thanks for the shout out bug... The Windscreen blocks a good amount of wind and bugs, and I don't notice more wind noise. I've never even had a bumper sticker on a car, but I really wanted a few decals. I put an KC Chiefs Arrowhead on and get compliments on it everywhere. I have a small vespa fly screen on it which I love and now bar end mirrors which made a huge difference. I may take the reflectors off, since you say it's easy.. 😂😂😂. I'll never put an exhaust because I'm easily annoyed by loud noise or music (damn I'm old now) and I love the orange decals on our scooters. I'd never take it off. I may to the oil pan change soon. Cheers buddy.

Saying that oil pan with sight glass would be advantageous! The location and flimsiness of the dipstick drives me insane. Portland is looking amazing atm (not as grey and cold). love your vids man. great comedic value.

Stickers on a laptop… YES. On an automobile, motorcycle, scooter, etc. … NO (with a caveat below). I don’t mind the stripe decals on the super sport, however the silver Vespa emblems I don’t like at all. Why put these on when the trim is black!? I plan to swap those out with black ones to match, or just take them off, paint them and re-apply them. I think the only time I’d maybe add stickers to my Vespa would be to cover any nicks from rocks since touch up paint sucks. Right now it’s still pristine (I’m hoping I didn’t just jinx myself). All that being said I may also at some point remove the stripes as my thoughts may change. For now they’re fine. I guess if I wait too long then the sun may leave stripes anyway even after removal. I considered the oil pan with the site glass, but haven’t pulled the trigger on it yet. The dipstick hasn’t bothered me enough to do so I guess. I have a dark fly screen, and although there’s more wind in the helmet with it on, it does take it off my chest, which I like at high speeds. The top case I put on from Givi is probably the best accessory I’ve added so far. It stores my jacket and helmet at the same time and is great for a few bags of groceries. Easily locks and can be removed with one key if I don’t want it on.

I have my Stitch sticker (That's the name of my scooter) and a small Panda (my logo on all other sites). I've removed all the Vespa, Primavera, and warning stickers. Those stickers I do have are smooth and flat, so all my scooter is easy to clean. BTW, I have 2 Primaveras (2022 and 2023). I sold my GTS...... Goo Gone helps remove all that sticker residue. You'll have to find another reason to swear though. Yeah, I know, decisions.(I just saw others recommend Goo Gone also) I don't like the flyscreen performance but do like it's looks. I took an extra tall screen and cut it down 4" which fits me. I've added hand guards, bar end weights, USB plug, front mudflap and made a hook on the end of the left handlebar to hold my helmet and goods for short periods like at the gas station..

If I go the sticker route, I'm gonna back them with a magnetic surface. I got the sight glass when I did that first 600 mile service. Get it. That dip stick is a bitch and it breaks easily. Not going to touch the exhaust until my warranty expires. Then I have to find one that has enough chrome as the stock one. Good video, welcome home.

Personally, I hate the sticker stripes Vespa "includes/forces you with" on their products. It's incredible laziness on their part and a presumption that people will think they look cool rather than just... cheap. Let people decorate their own scooters, Piaggio and come up with their own concept of cool.

I kind of think im allegic to stickers...as i hate them anywhere. In regard to mods, i have a 2024 SuperTech and where they stuck the USB port ..in the tiny glovebox is useless. I would like to install a wire from it to my phone which is "Quadlock"ed to my mirror. I'd love to see a video on how to do that.

I just run it from the USB port down to the bottom of the glove box door (if you look at the bottom corners you'll see it's kinda cut out). Close the glove box over the cord, say a small prayer, and hope it doesn't 1. ruin the cord or 2. snap the door off. Works for me. I'm gonna find a way, though, to drill through the glove box so the cord isn't exposed as much.

Under the saddle is where I put the stickers I get. Nice memories from taking part in various events, but I don’t like to cover the visible parts of the scooter with them. As to the fly screen, I’m using the Faco Twin screen. I like the look of it, and I think the fastening system is more stable than that of the actual Vespa. Riding without the screen causes some wind pressure on the chest that I find uncomfortable.

  • @victorhawkins3461

Okay, bug., here goes...2 stickers on the flyscreen (which I love on my GTS 300 in Beige Avvolgente [ding!])...one sticker is my VCOA sticker, the other triggers the entrance gate to my neighborhood (awww, gimme a break...I live in the middle of the gosh darned desert!). Yes, take off those decals on your scoot...Robot most likely has a vid about doing it...did I mention getting some Goo Gone? I also had those hideously ugly plastic fender reflectors removed from my GTS. The screws inside the fender snap off with wire cutters. Vespa Motorsport has color-matched slugs to fill the holes, and they look GREAT. I'm about to do it on my little bitty ET2 (in Derbi Black [ding!]). And speaking of my little bitty ET2 (in Derbi...well, you know...), I'm about to order a 70cc Malossi kit from Scooter West to "hot rod" the little darlin'. Skipping the exhaust on both scoots...loud pipes MIGHT save lives, but I find 'em annoying...it's a SCOOT, fer goo'ness sake! I'd put a flyscreen on Lily, my little bitty ET2 (in Derbi...aww, eff it!), but a Piaggio flyscreen costs about 1/3 of what I have invested in her, so, no. Well, if the ca$h were to fall outta the sky... I like my Michelins, thanks. No peep-hole oil pan for me at the moment, but never say never. Or something like that. Check out vids from English scooter meet-ups and you'll see some CRAZY stickers! Same with some of the Sarasota, FL Vespa club folks (Hi, Tim and Lisa and Mick and Bruce and everybody else!). Okay, I now return you to your regularly scheduled video viewing...

Leave the gashog at the park.dont have to worry about parking at a restaurant with a camper.may have to chain them up tho,too easy to get stolen.those are my plans,if hubby doesnt go ,i can motocamp alone.

Stickers? No. What are you? Some leftover flower child from the sixties that puts every left-wing political sticker on the their vehicle or a 5 year old girl with a sticker sheet of unicorns and rainbows to decorate her Malibu Barbie house? LOL. OK that a little harsh. Seriously though, someone said they put their stickers that commemorate various events “under the saddle”. Perfect compromise. Exhaust: meh, I’m on the fence. I would only put one on if it enabled the engine to sustain 70mph with my fat a$$, didn’t sound any louder than stock, and only cost a couple of C notes. Knobby tires: Nope. Unless you plan to off road. Windscreen: I have a full-sized Vespa windscreen. I like the way it looks, especially with the top case installed. It makes for a bigger profile = greater visibility for other drivers. I’d like to ride without it on occasion but I can’t for safety’s sake - I’m unable to wear a full face helmet. Sight-glass oil pan: I have one. I just haven’t installed it yet. I will do it myself. I have done several minor mods to my ‘23 SuperTech. I am working on a video of that - will be my first YT video. You and Scooter in the Sticks have inspired me. I’ll let you know when I post.
