Every time I see someone that I know personally die, it is like a small part of me disappears. Death brings many tears to family members or loved ones, and yet death will not always have hold on mankind, for in the Bible book of Isaiah, it gives us this promise by God: "O Jehovah (God's personal name), you are my God......In this mountain (or through God's heavenly government called God's Kingdom) Jehovah of armies will make for all the peoples a banquet of rich dishes, a banquet of fine wine, of rich dishes filled with marrow, of fine, filtered wine (or a perfect setting of peace and security). In this mountain he will do away with the shroud (of sin) that is enveloping all the peoples and the covering that is woven over all the nations. He will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces. The reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for Jehovah himself has spoken it."(Isa 25:6-8) Jehovah God has promised to permanently remove death that we received from our forefather Adam (Rom 5:12), for those who become his loyal servants, for Revelation 21 confirms what Isaiah says: "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look ! The tent of God is with mankind (or on the earth where death has ravaged mankind), and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. And the One seated on the throne said: “Look ! I am making all things new.” Also he says: “Write, for these words are faithful and true".(Rev 21:3-5) But what about those who are in the grave ? Isaiah 26 gives us this promise for those who are God's memory: "Your dead will live. My corpses will rise up. Awake and shout joyfully, you residents in the dust ! For your dew is as the dew of the morning, and the earth will let those powerless in death come to life."(Isa 26:19) An ancient man named Job asked of Jehovah: "O that in the Grave you would conceal me, that you would hide me until your anger passes by (Job felt that Jehovah was punishing him for something he did wrong, not aware that it was Satan who caused all his tragedies and he was a "test case"), that you would set a time limit for me and remember me ! If a man dies, can he live again ? I will wait all the days of my compulsory service (in the grave) until my relief (or a resurrection from the dead) comes. You will call, and I will answer you (just as Jesus did with Lazarus, John 11). You will long for the work of your hands."(Job 14:13-15) So, death is an enemy, not friend, that will "be brought to nothing" (1 Cor 15:26), and in which many loved ones will come back from being "exiled in death" in the near future to a paradise earth.(Luke 23:43; Ps 37:11, 29)
