It doesn’t seem it was that long ago

I had the great honor to watch them in concert in person. Was amazing that 4 great legends could come together and play as one and being humble with the company they were in on stage. All having a great time and sharing the spotlight. Raw and natural talent. No computer mixes just 4 great artists and great musicians behind them! Will never be replicated by anyone else again!

One of the very best songs in the American lexicon. A simple structure, bare essentials, yet so brilliantly descriptive of a moment in time. It doesn't need to explain why the narrator feels this way, anything about events or regrets of the past, nothing about hopes for the future, or trying to solve some universal problem. It's just that particular moment, and that singular feeling. Yet we know it tells a universal tale so achingly familiar; and Kris allows us to fill in the rest. This is the difference between a great songwriter, and other people who write songs.

Four amazing artists in their own right but when they came together it was a whole different experience. Thank you gentlemen.

It was an honor to see them at UMass in June '95 with my first wife who was pregnant with my daughter. My first wife has passed and my daughter is now almost 27 with her Master's degree and has a good job, a house ,and a husband. I guess I did OK! :)

It’s nearly 2022, and I am still enjoying this group! Kris’s smile is utterly disarming.😌😌That they played together at all was an act of pure luck and genius, since they each had successful solo careers. Bravo for them! Imagine, songs with lyrics that are clear and understandable, make sense, and have addictive music as well! These may have been the last of the genre.

I was lucky enough to find this concert as my first outing into country music . I couldn't have got luckier.

This clip should be in the Smithsonian! It is reflective of American culture on many levels. Can you imagine this man living the regimented life of career Army and teaching at West Point? Naw, think of what we would have missed and how his collars would have chafed. Selfishly for us, he made the right choice.
