As much as the 700 drones are tempting, my vote would be to use "Terror of the Dark" models to start a fun "paint as you want" 40k+AoS Chaos Demon army - that way you can have any color schemes you want because chaos is not about uniformity. (or should not be)

"It took me about 7000 hours to put this together - and I'm not sure if it was worth it" - story of my life that. As someone who makes content I know how mentally hard it can be to make that kind of stuff and not get the reaction you want so well done for this - it was great and I really appreciate the set-up, editing and voiceover effort you must have gone to - it was class and it WAS worth it! As for the new army, well, you said you wanted to clear a load of models from the backlog so I'm gonna vote for the 48 Goblin Town warriors - use Contrast paints and paint them in one massive batch - that's what I'm planning on doing as and when I get to mine so it will be cool to watch someone else do it first to see if it's a great idea or if it's something that I should absolutely not do under any circumstances - great work again - keep it up! Legend, I should've read all comments before responding. Goblin Town is one I can always dip back into. I did 60-odd last year and got them to a point where I was able to bash out 10 in a sitting. Just the basing that took a fair chunk of time. They will be my in-between projects, project I think.

I vote on the Warlord Titan. Now go buy it.

I think with the new kroot coming out , a tau army would he amazing! You couod get through a large portion of your backlog and get some new cool stuff at the same time ;)

The new sculpts are awesome but the downside of painting a 40k army is that I would have to paint a 40k army 😂 I do have a fair bit of Tau painted tbh

I think you should do a Defenders of Helms Deep army with the Three Hunters, Haldir, Gamling and Theoden leading all the Rohan Warriors Or all your Moria Goblins and Balrog Or a Lurtz' Scouts army
