I just want to say how amazing Stolas must have been to make his daughter think that his affair with Blitz was what ruined her family. She specifically said "You ruined it". She was completely unaware of how unhappy his marriage was which meant Stolas had to hide how miserable he was to make his daughter think everything was fine.

alternatively: When they wrote Loo Loo Land the relationship had been planned to be more about both having fucked up, Stolas and Stella in their own ways. Bbut then they reconsidered that, possibly because of a vocal part of hte fanbase that went "Stolas is an innocent owlet and never did anything wrong!"... I've seen that part of the fanbase. I kind off doubt that Octavia had been the moody teenager who listened to a band called "Fuck you, Dad!" only after Stolas started his affair. Also, with how the stuff gets portrayed, it could be that her complaints in Loo Loo Land actual refer to the events seen in the pilot and again in Circus, where Blitz dropped onto her table.

"I wouldn't think that deep into it", then....why join this conversation/reply chain that is CLEARLY about looking into the why and how's of the situation? It simply doesn't make sense to go to a comment comment clearly about deconstructing a character to then say "I wouldn't bother with that". It's a bit silly. But let's get to the other points. 1) "she's just a bratty teenager who hates her dad". Yes, but she also clearly still cares about her dad. Teenagers may be bratty, but they are also maturing maturing tend to have complex emotions that they dont fully understand. So even "just a bratty teenager" is never just super simple and 2d, unless poorly written. There is a reason they develop like that. 2) "she's old enough to join the military" "she should be thinking about moving out". Firstly, she's 17. In most countries, that's not enough to join the military and that's assuming hell....even has one. We see from Hazbin Hotel and the entire premise of Helluva Boss that hell, unsurprisingly, is not like earth. Trying to compare Earth customs to Hell's is kind of silly. Not only that, but you are assuming all teenagers "plan to move out" by 17. Many of them do NOT, many plan to stay for various reasons, sometimes regarding college, sometimes to give them a standing until they find a career, and many other reasons. So even that generalization is just wrong. 3) You are acting as if "well normally, this would be x" when that simply doesn't fit here. Even without the context that they are in hell, we know the daughter's life has not been normal. Her divorced parents live in the same house, Stolas puts up with it to likely try and prevent pain to the daughter (and failing. Seeing your parents hate eachother is damaging) and the wife seems to purposely not act out in front of the daughter as much unless it's about how "cheating", so she's seeing one side of the complex story. To her, her father cheated on her mother, they still live together, may have other factors here but I won't go into theory territory, and her dad KEEPS seeing that person. Of course she's mad at her dad. This is before considering the fact that, as royalty, their "normal" is not comparable to most others. She may not be expected to move out until a "proper suitor" is found, which means she could just remain for God knows how long. Basically, the context contradicts this comment, which would be a bit shaky under a generic circumstance. I'd recommend looking deeper into these things, because these characters are being written, not just people being observed, so the likihood of a trait meaning something is way more likely.

I literally just found out about that a few minutes ago. I’ve never even seen this show until now!!!

So, the text that Stolas was reading at the end (if I remember correctly) when translated from runic text explains that Asmodeoan crystals (Azmodeus being prince of lust) are used by Succubi to access the mortal world. I’ve heard the theory that Stolas was perhaps going to use the crystals to propose to Blitzo (like a diamond ring) and so he can have his own way to the mortal realm. Also I’ve heard that these crystals are the reason Blitzo dated Verosika (the succubus from ep3). Blitzo told Stolas that he killed people in this episode, yet he doesn’t have the Grimoire to access the living world, so it makes sense that he used his relationship with Verosika to get to her crystals (which would explain why she hates him so much). After being dumped by her he goes to Stolas for the only other way he can think of to access the mortal world to keep his business going.

The fact that Stella was surprised stolas grabbed her arm instead of letting her hit him shows exactly the kind of person she is and I'm surprised no on else is talking about it. She's so comfortable with verbally abusing him in public and beating him in private and it shows in their body language. I hate that stolas has been keeping this from octavia, yet Stella has the audacity to spin the narrative to Octavia that Stolas was the one who ruined their relationship when he was only enduring it for Octavia. Its so manipulative. Stella is a great example of an abuser in so many ways. Its so realistic for a cartoon...and horrible because..people like Stella actual exsists..

Can you imagine that there are people angered by this episode because: -Stolas knew Blitz(o) BEFORE f**king him? How dare they say this! This must be a retcon! -Stolas was first flirty and then insicure? BAD WRITING! There is no way someone flirty ends up awkward in bed! -Stella is a horrible, racist, snobbish, narcissist person? NO WAY! She was OBVIOUSLY a sweetheart full of love before being cheated on! ... ... ... So, basically people who never understood the difference between canon and fanfiction... To me, this was a great episode which really helped to crown Stolas as a deeply layered and interesting caracter after his start as a recurring s*x joke.

That’s happens a lot. Like when everyone lost their minds that Mephisto wasnt in Wandavision. Marvel never said or hinted he was it was all people theorizing it .oh well, people are going to hate, just happens 🤗

A lot of people don't really like episodes that don't exactly further the plot, but I LOVE expository episodes so it actually shows the foundation of Stolas and Blitz's relationship. And it genuinely made me smile when Stolas put his foot down when he wanted the divorce, because I've been in a relationship like that myself and had to do the same with leaving. I love this episode so freaking much

This still furthered the plot though because Stolas is getting that divorce and Stella had that ominous regretting it line at the end hinting at the assassin tracking down Stolas. So it was minimal moving forward but it was great getting backstory on both Stolas and Blitz. 😀

It was a very common thing for royalty back in the day... and it wasn't even unheard of for someone to get married off to someone who's much older than them. See Henry VIII's first wife who was also his brothers widow....which just makes it even weirder.

So far it seems like the relationship between Blitzo and Stolas as it’s currently shown is toxic, but ultimately one of the most stable and normal either has had.

Sad but true 😢

I mean, Blitzo was trying simply to steal the book away from Stolas, and pretended to be REALLY kinky and into him to DISTRACT him from realising his Grimoire was missing from the shelf, but felt guilty once he heard that Stolas was happy that his first friend wanted to (allegedly) have a passionate relationship with him, which guilt tripped him into having sex with him. If anyone knows the REAL truth about their relationship, it would be Blitzo. Stolas merely had wishful thinking, and thought that (From that first sexual encounter) that Blitz actually enjoyed that horrifying dirty talk over the phone. Ironically Blitz unintentionally initiated that unending dirty talk all by himself, by pretending he was into it, whilst stealing the book.

I used to see Stolas as a pervy owl. Now I see he is as broken as Blitz. They both have issues from their childhood :/

These are the thoughts and notes that I want to share: > 0:33 The mansion looks like Stolas' own, but with Paimons insignia on it, this mansion might have been a hands down to Stolas once he has come of proper age > 0:46 At the background looks like the same bathtub that we see at Ep.1, albiet just smaller > 1:05 Baby Stolas Portaits. The imp doll that he cuddled in bed and is cuddling in the portraits might have signified that he already had a fascination with imps at a young age > 1:19 Paimon is confirmed to have multiple children, might also mean that he has multiple wives > 2:59 The girl on the tight rope may or may not be a young Barbie Wire, Blitzo's twin sister > Interesting note is that, a lot of the circus imps have the same mark on their foreheads, would probably indicate that they are a group and not just a family crest that some people have theorized > 5:20 Here, we see Blitzo's dad have a heavy favoritism towards Fizzarolli rather than his own son, to the point that he's willing to sell Blitzo for 5 dollars and a condom > 5:54 Hooo boy, I have thoughts on this one, for me at least, this scene might be a really big RED FLAG. Why? This might be a hint, as well as foreshadowing on how Fizzarolli may have lost his limbs. Let's break down the interactions between the two balloon horses. The worm horse lost its legs in the "great pirate war", worm horse fought back against its assailants, the worm horse tried to run away, only to be caught up by said assailants, leading to them taking worm horse's limbs. Next banana pudding helps worm horse feel better, then apparently more blood. Now why do I think this might be a RED FLAG? Let's think for a bit, the story might be over dramatisized, but here are my thoughts, Blitzo and Fizzarolli in someway got into a fight, not with each other but with other people. My speculation is that the "great pirate war" might have been a rival circus. Maybe jealous of Fizzarolli's rising fame. Getting pushed back, Blitzo and Fizzarolli runs away, fleeing the fight. The assailants somehow caught up to them or just Fizz and proceeded to chop him up and take his limbs. That or maybe a burning tent of some sort, falling debris leading to pinned and broken limbs or lost limbs. After everything, Blitzo wanting to help his friend picks him up and tries to leave, somewhere there, an accident might have occurred causing Blitzo to have a white scar on the right side of his face, hence more blood. > 7:02 At the background you would be able to spot a family portrait of Blitzo, his sister, their dad and their mom > 7:23 Guilt tripping and gaslighting > Blitzo wants to help his mom, I personally have my own theory about Blitzo's mom, in the 2022 trailer, one pannel of the end of the trailer showed a hand with an IV drip and a petal of a flower falling down on a phone, I think that's "Tilla", Blitzo's mother, with this release of the new episode, my own guess is that young Blitzo wants to help his mom get better from some illness. > 8:21 I like the way how Stolas sits, really cute > 9:28 Background music is the occasion bgm that we hear whenever the IMP gang are doing their work, only this one is more childish at heart > 10:06 BGM is now the BGM of Ep.7 outro but more happy[???} > 12:29 Thinking about it, Stolas is probably in his early thirties > 12:50 Happy Pills, Don't do drugs kids > 14:38 The Hellhound Doberman[??] on the left is wagging his tail > 14:43 Rose-colored lenses, not to mention since absinthe is toxically strong, so Stolas my be a little buzzed > 14:56 Doberman[??] boi is sad now > 15:10 The contrast of the 2 paintings is stunning > 19:04 The label on the pills says "Belphegor's Hard Candy(???) You could see in the picture of King Paimon showing Stolas that Stella was "mean" even as a child.... Probably as a Goisha she never learned what love is and learned that you have to be mean and cruel to survive in hell.... Just like Blitz learned from his father that it's okay to take what you want if it serves a good purpose. Which is not okay. And, he wanted to steal the Grimmoire (i assume) to offer a job to Moxxie and Millie, who he had probably met shortly before that event. Apart from the fact that we now know, thanks to official Q&A vids, that what IMP is doing is illegal...even in Hell. *Great thoughts from you two guys in the end* Thank you The "Signature" of this whole series..seems to be "Shitty parents/Wrong communications".. Blitz, Stolas.. (Moxxie said he dreamed about his parents being murdered) and Loona was an orphan ... and also Charlie from Hazbin Hotel..she thinks about herself as a failure because her dad Lucifer himself probably said that about her "redemption" idea.. "The true power that dominates us... is the shameful, infinite, consuming, destroying...insatiable.... greed... ..for love" - me as Countess Dracula on Stage 15 years ago. and.. As a child, Blitz did not have those white spots on arms and face.... If IMP's look burnt like that, I really hope it's not due to a fight with Fizzarollie.... Blitz probably left the circus because he didn't want to steal for his dad anymore and Fizzie didn't know that and thinks he's just abandoning them.... And then Mammon came to him. "4th Deadly Sin. Imbodiement of Greed" and said the famous line "I'm gonna make you a star..."

24:08 I actually have an interesting theory about that all supported by this very episode. My own thought is that he does indeed care for blitzo but for a majority of his life he was in a loveless passionless marriage with someone who at every opportunity belittled and berated him for the sole purpose of producing an heir. and with blitzo being his very first friend and childhood crush by the looks of it, when blitzo first seduced him to steal the book he finally got a taste of that passion he so thoroughly was lacking in his marriage. My thoughts are that after that first taste he desired more quite a bit perhaps wishing to make up for all the passion his marriage was lacking which resulted in the somewhat overly sexual stolas we had seen for most of the first season, perhaps by the final few episodes he had gotten that desire for passion out of his system enough to want and desire blitzo beyond their sexcapades but tainted blitzo's perspective of the whole thing by his eargerness to indulge in sexual passion

It seems privately Stella never respected Stolas, he’s mentioned that it’s been years of cruelty. I believe it’s been a mutual unspoken “treaty” of sorts. Stella get’s everything that comes to being married to a prince, and Stolas can continue his attempt a “normal life” for Octavia. A night of being abused and drinking and Blitz kind of broke that treaty. If Stella is the way she is, her mentioning him paying for loosing “what little grace” he had was a threat. She knows, and he highlights in their interaction that Octavia is his world and means for keeping on. I fear for both Stolas and Octavia. If Octavia was killed, it would be worse for Stolas than death, and it would be “payback” to Stolas’ family.

Stella: "I am glad one egg fell out of me.." With it it is said for me that she herself had no desire on the actual reason to make a "descendant" and Octavia means nothing to her. If she never experienced love as Ars-Goitia, as I assume, she can never pass this on to others. She thinks to dominate and humiliate others is love. Basically, she is the loneliest and most pathetic person in this series (so far). But I ask you not to forget: In episode 2 when Millie saved Stolas: Stolas: "That's better. So where is Blitzie? He is my knight in shining armor not your littler one's" ... And even in episode 6 were he saved the whole crew he had just eyes for Blitzie. He completly ignored the others. Just saying.. Which makes me think: If Moxxie, for example, had tried to steal the Grimmoire back then, Stolas probably would have killed him. Also because of the other Goitia's (You let a dirty little Imp steal the sacred Grimmoire? just saying..) But nonetheless, Stolas has changed through his relationship with Stella, Octavia and Blitz. It remains to be seen if they can say the L-word to each other in the end....

I had wondered why Stolas loves Blitz but now it all makes sense

Stolas is finally rising up against Stella but Blitz still fights hes own inner demons after been in the house of asmodeus and been made fun of in front of everyone by Asmodeus the king of lust, hes childhood friend fizzarolli and by hes ex Verosika. And seems to have problems in hes own family as we can see after he looks at the picture of his mom who might be dead and sister.

Edit:I want Moxxie & Millie to go to Heavan but there's no way they can, we learned how corrupted Heavan is and how they're viewed.

Fun fact: During Stolas' song (at the end of S2E1) he throws a book (the one with "Asmodean Crystals" on it). That is a book written by Asmodeus, and when the written script was translated it reveals that those crystals provide succubus demons (like Verosika, demons who exist to seduce humans) an access to the mortal realm (because Asmodeus is all about spreading lust). When Stolas and Blitzø meet during the Not Divorced scene Blitz says "Oh, no no I k1ll people now" so Blitzø was still able to k1ll people without the grimoire, meaning he might have just dated Verosika so that he could use her crystal ability to k1ll people, but after he broke up with Verosika he had no access to the mortal realm. Was really cool getting to say hi with the premiere stream, even if I was super late unfortunately. Some notes: 1. At the beginning of the episode when Stolas is going to see his father, you can see a series of paintings of Stolas from when he was just an egg to his current age (At the time) and in each painting he has the same Imp plushie with him. It seems like that he transferred his affection from the plushie to Blitz when he saw him. 2. The Imp on the tightrope was Blitz's sister Barb Wire. 3. I have the impression that Stolas was actually gay all along rather than bi-sexual. He's trying to keep the family together for duty's sake as well as his love for his daughter. While sexuality doesn't really seem to be an issue in Hell, the pressure to acquire offspring for the Royal Family, so he's still forced to put on the farce of being a family with Stella. 4. The book Stolas threw on the bed during his song opened on a moment of "Lust Crystals", which quite heavily seems like a 'Chekov's Gun', we'll see if anything comes out of it. 5. When Stolas saw Stellas picture for the first time, you can see her choking someone. Just like at the end Stella attempts to strike Stolas makes it very easy to believe that Stella has been very physical with Stolas all this time, but this was the first time Stolas defended himself it seems. P.S. Such wise words from Bethany. There is a lot of wisdom in what she was saying that a lot of people could benefit from. Not just in terms of being pigeon holed, but also in terms of what "normal" even means.

It wasn't exactly lust crystals, though close enough. Fans have translated those pages, and basically, they're crystals given by Asmodeus to succubi to let them access the human world, for the purposes of seducing people. I think the succubi/lust aspect isn't as important as that they're an alternate method of reaching the human world; if Blitzo had one, he wouldn't have any reason to be in Stolas's life anymore.

I champion the voice performance by Bryce Pinkham giving the emotional pathos of struggle for himself, his daughter and Blitzo.

And so Stolas joins Gohan as a "child Bethany would kill to defend."

Asmodian crystals are used to travel to Earth. Verosika has them. Stolas might give some to Blitz so he doesn't have to give him the book and that is his way of breaking up with him. I hope Blitz and Stolas ed up together

The shape-shifting Stolas's father showed and him saying "thats right the owl boy" suggests he has many kids that are different creatures. Also in the last episode Stolas had the chance to stand by Blitzo but instead Stolas tried to run and then hid which just solidified that they just had a physical relationship nothing more to Blitzo.

When did Stolas run and hide? He reached across the table for Blitzo who retracted his hand. Then they left the club together. Sure Stolas was embarrassed but Stolas can’t even stick up for himself let alone for someone else right now. And if Stolas really cared about the class difference he wouldn’t have gone out in public with Blitz in first place 🤗

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 during the song after they called out Stolas when the spot light was put on him in the night club he tried to leave the table but he was pulled back to his seat, then after the line "you sold it all for a thrust" in reference to Stolas ruining his family, Stolas hid his face behind a menu. They even show a reaction shot of Blitzo after Stolas put up the menu so you could see his pain and shame. Which all happened before the hand retraction.

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 don't get me wrong I do think Stolas actually loves Blitzo, him letting Blitzo drive him home when he could have teliported back home like how he teliported to the club shows he wanted to spend time with Blitzo. I'm just pointing out Stolas made some big mistakes that night which might have lead to Blitzo's mind set.

FINALLY WHO NOTICED THAT

This episode was full on interesting and wonders out there that shines Stolas’ journey to the fullest. I feel bad for him, and glad he boost up on talking sense to Stella. 😤 With that said, we might see more growth on Stolas as there is a moment that he might become human and go live in the world of humans. There was a brief scene of a gem that grant transformation of demons to humans. Powers by Ozzie’s abilities and it seems to work for Succubus/Incubuses. So I can’t wait for that to shine. Also good eye ken to spot “Shining” Easter egg of the twin imps, and there is a special imp of Blitz sister at a background portrait of the family. Oh yeah the fathers are voiced by Jonathan Freeman as he plays Jafar from Disney’s Aladdin

For reference, Stloas is a prince of hell and his father is one of the 7 kings of hell in the mythos. His father literally rules one of the 7 rings of hell (on the same level as Satan, Asmodeus, and Beelzebub). There are some really cool Helluva Boss deep dives out there.

Poor Stolas he lived his personal hell for 17 years married to Stela. Seriously, this Stela is worse than Amber Heard. I'm glad that after so much abuse our prince has finally freed himself and divorced this thing called Stela. And what a good feeling to see Our Prince defending himself against this cretin, showing that he will no longer put up with any kind of abuse from this Female Monster!

it is always crazy how wholesome some characters really are. Despite Stolas being gay, he genuinely loves his daughter and want her to have happy life and love that he never got from his own father.

(SPOILER FROM THE FIRST SENTENCE) They had a plan to have the episode to be different to go to Blitz with Loonie to whatever party she went to that was shown in twitter as a spoiler, but it got delayed. And the cliffhanger was perfect for it to show Stola’s story first to continue from the Ozzie’s episode.

I was feeling kinda down and for some reason your talking at the end just comforted me despite the topic being another, maybe it was just calming to listen or to be a bit distracted I think. Or maybe I also just missed watching you guys haha I loved this reaction as always btw :)

erm this whole episode is essentially a flashback like lol

If you pause at 13:21 the face that stolas makes says to me: "THIS B#CH"

You know, after going back to episode 2 it makes me wonder what soured blitzos relationship with fizz, they were so happy and cute when they were kids, then blitzo called the robo fizz a knockoff of an overrated sellout jester. I’m wondering if it has to do with fizz’s popularity and if blitzos dad forcing him into bs had a role to play with that. Long story short, blitzo and fizz were such good friends as kids, what happened???

9 months later S2e1 and man worth the wait! Lil Stolas is cute and man both had shitty dad's...but man Stella was terrible since a kid...poor Octavia! Though it was a bit cringy seeing that stolas blitz bed scene!

Stella was Mentally, Physically and Verbally abusing Stolas they never loved each other they were arranged as you can see near the end Stella tries to hit Stolas but he catches her hand so it's clear that she is Physically abusing him the when Stolas says this line "I've put up with your insults and Cruelty" that's showing that Stella is Verbally and Mentally abusing him as well so i'm glad he divorced her making her his ex-wife

This episode is the worst one, a retcon basically Before season 2 it seemed like Blitzo and Stolas were just drunk during some party and got together for one night, Blitzo stole the book but Stolas forgave him and offered an exchange. In pilot Blitzo calls Stolas "priviliged asshole", really? After he felt sympathy towards Stolas and f**ked him out of pity, he now turns into a hater. In episode 2 it seemed like Stella cared about their reputation at least. They could have changed it to Stella being toxic in private, but in public pretend to be a happy queen and tell others about her amazing prince Stolas, and also, Stolas seemed to care about this affair, he tried to calm her down, apologize etc. He can't explain to his daughter what's wrong between them, as if the problem was deeper than "nah yo mama is toxic lol". In episode 5 Stolas acts superior to Blitzo and other imps, like he's the higher race. If he knew Blitzo since childhood he probably wouldn't think like that. And episode 7 perfectly showed that the relationship is not only about f**king, because when it came to them going out, talking, it seemed like there's not much goin on, they don't have anything in common, they don't understand each other. Stolas feels ashamed that people know about this affair, he doesn't defend Blitzo, and Blitzo is disappointed, but he's no better, he invited Stolas only in order to get to the club. This was a lot more complicated before, now it just seems flat "aaaww Stolas is innocent, Stella is evil, Blitzo really cared since the beggining (it's not like it developped)"

I feel like we should get to know more about stela’s Side of the story

Stolas sadly retained the royal pompous behavior twords the commoners that his father Pimon had.

What I'm thinking currently after this episode is how much worse is Stella's family and how is Octavia?
