And if I am not mistaken she is also weaker (at least slightly) than Satan who is the sin of wrath since her ring is below his. That's why Asmodeus is also weaker than Mammon

It's been suggested that the Sins get weaker the further down you go, but Mammon's statement about Ozzy being the weakest seems to counter that. Lust is the 5th ring, so if that were the case both Leviathan ad Belphegor would be weaker than him, which would make Mammon's statement incorrect.

also Loona's reaction was immature, but made kind of sense, because She had Crush on Tex, she knew he had a girldfriend, but maybe thought she can compare... instead she found out that said girlfriend's powerlevel was over 9000 and was jealous I think. Granted that she is basicly teenager, it make sense

fun fact: kesha voices queen bee and she was originally supposed to sing the song "Cotton Candy" but due to legal reasons she couldnt and thats why this episode has been so delayed!

Loona has social anxiety. When you push people like that into really social situations too fast they reject. Most like to dip a toe in and slowly work themselves in, if they choose to take part in the first place. Sometimes all it takes is a friend to be there as support, backup if you will. I have it myself and I really feel for her. Once Blitz was there she had some support and a few kind words from others let her feel secure enough to try again. As far as Vortex and Bee go, he was embarrassed by Loona's aggressiveness pushing his GF, and deadly sin, to change into her demon form, that's why he turned away.

this! i think this is important to know. i feel like loona went to the party to really try to socialize. but - even if it was a "small get together" for bee, it was a LOT for someone like loona. so while bee was in her natural habitat, loona was overwhelmed, hence the aggression

bee doesnt abuse tex. she was insulted by loona and reacted when all she wanted to do was help someone who was abusing alcohol for bad reasons. tex was uncomfortable watching his friend and girlfriend not get along

15:02 Tex is actually feeling awkward that the friend he brought is being cold towards Queen Bee. It’s been like that since His girlfriend and Loona met. So no, they are not in an abusive relationship. Queen B never gave Loona a reason to make her upset. When Tex warned Loona about Blitz, Loona was nice due to her unrequited crush on him. On the other hand, when Queen B brought it up too, Loona gave her a cold shoulder.

Blitz’s drunken slurring at the end was heartbreaking, and our first real glimpse into his mind (aside from the ‘tripping balls’ sequence from Truth Seekers) and the first time we’ve see him let down his emotional barriers in front of another person, it helps that it’s Loonie, as he feels safe around her

At this point in the show we have heard about many of the seven sins already. Lucifer is the Sin of Pride and while not much talked about in Helluva Boss, he has his role in Hazbin Hotel. In the last Episode we were introduced to the Sin of Lust, Asmodeus, who will take a bigger role in the future of the show. This episode we were introduced to Beelzebub, the Sin of Gluttony, I hope we see more of her, but probably just a one off character due to the famous voice actor, or if she returns, she’ll have a new voice, like the voice change that Striker has in the future. Belphegor is mentioned by Bee briefly in this episode. We haven’t seen her yet, but we know she is the Sin of Sloth. Also briefly mentioned this episode and by the imps of wrath on more regular basis is Satan, who is the Sin of Wrath. Mammon, the Sin of Greed will be seen in a future episode. The only Prince we haven’t seen or heard of yet is the sin of Envy, who will be Leviathan.

Cotton candy being sickenly sweet with no substance is the whole POINT. Queen Bee is Beelzebub, the sin of gluttony and she derives all her power from people indulging themselves in excessive desire to eat. In this case, Queen Bee is able to use her power to make cotton candy to give people a very real but empty sugar high while also feeding their other hedonistic desires through parting then uses the energy she gains from them DOING that to store power in the form of honey, a HIGHLY nutritions and beneficial food that still fits her theme by being very sweet and desirable.

i think some ppl enjoy helluva boss more than hazbin bc of these filler episodes that hazbin can’t have due to streaming service limitations. it just gives us more time with the characters but season 2 is more plot driven so im excited for you to see that!

I think it's also because Hazbin has different vibes. The heart is still the same but you can tell that one is entirely self-produced and the other does have a label behind it. I think the humor in Hazbin is more series like and Helluva Boss more Internet like if that makes sense. Helluva Boss is also a lot more fast-paced because the budget is smaller. Emotional scenes transition really fast into humor which obviously fits for a series on the internet. Hazbin has "better" pacing but that means that we get less depth per character so far. But tbf most of the character depth for HB came in season 2 so

Ep 8 is considered filler because Vivziepop intended it to be a visual spectacle and celebration for an end to the first season, to give back to the fans and come full circle with her relation to Kesha, because she got very well known due to animating a video to Kesha's "Die Young" song. Unfortunately, this ep was delayed for about 6 months due to legal issues with Kesha's abusive producer, and S2 had to be aired before this ep could come out. You might not know this, but back then it caused quite a stir as Twitter took the delay and how S2 started as reasons to say the show sucked and the creator was incompetent at story telling, which would actually snowball to them heavily shitting on the show throughout the new season. It was only after the release of ep 8 last year, then S2 ep 1 and 2 made more sense. For Loona, she went to the party just to see if she had a chance with Tex, and got a face full or reality that Tex was in a loving relationship with a ruler of Hell. Thus, she acted so rejected once Tex introduced her to Bee. This episode may seem like teen drama, but it does bring up much needed character to Loona, showing that while she might act abrasive and bitchy to her coworkers, she is actually socially inept with her own kind, which makes her shy and confrontational as a defense mechanism. Hopefully with more interaction with Tex and Bee, she can overcome these issues.

@serenapascucci6090 It didn't really move the plot much, the only really meaningful thing it did was to show Blitzo was negatively affected by Ozzies, and provided insight into Loona's character. Other than that, it didn't affected the main story much, and Vivziepop herself said it was intended to be a visual spectacle for the fans. When the episode was bogged down and delayed by legal troubles with Kesha's abusive producer, the decision was made to skip to S2.

I don't know, maybe we have a different concept of filler, but if there is progress in an episode, I don't consider it filler. In this episode we have: - Loona and Blitz's character development. - Progress and development of the father-daughter relationship - Expansion of lore and world building (ring of the Gluttony and the Sin of the Gluttony) - Small progress of the relationship between Blitz and Stolas Lots of stuff to be just a filler, don't you think? I know about the problems they had with the episode but that doesn't change that it was originally conceived as part 2 of episode 7.

This was one of my favorite episodes as finally shows Blitz and Loonas relationship, and her calling him dad sincerely

'You're not going to love every episode.' Speak for yourself lol. I've watched it every episode way too many times. Hazbin and this are the only shows I like every episode for. And Loona was the way she was because of trauma. Parties aren't her thing either. She wanted to go see Tex and see if she had a chance with him. So seeing he was with the Queen of Gluttony was a big wake up call. Not to mention it took a year for this to come out and we've been all waiting for a Loona focused episode and for how Blitz was dealing with Ozzie's. So this episode was needed.

14:49 I don’t think Bee abuses Tex, but like, Hellhounds are the very bottom of hells society and Beelzebub is a deadly sin, so she outranks him big time. And when she lets her demon power out, I too would feel uncomfortable to stand right next to her.

Bee aka Bee-lzebub is half Bee and half Fennec Fox, she is also the princess of Gluttony ruler of that Ring. Ranking/power wise The Sins are right below Charlie under them are the royals like Stolas, under royals are Overlords, then Sinners, then Hellborn Demons, then Imps, then Hellhounds. Bee feeds on emotions and makes her Beelzejuice like a bee makes honey, it intoxicates demons and mutates mortals. The Giant fish from Spring Broken was transformed when Verosika threw a half empty flask of Beelzejuice in the ocean.

I like how these reactions make mee fell so relaxed. Cuz other youtubers would just scream and complaint every 5 seconds and not actually even pay attention to the episode

You are reading into Bee's and Tex's relationship a bit too much. I'm leaning more towards Tex feeling awkward about them arguing. There's no abuse going on.

I'm happy that we finally got a loona focused episode. I hope we get more episodes for loona throughout the rest of show. I hope that Loona and Beezlebub will become friends in a future episode Beezlebub really is the older sister figure that Loona needs in her life.

I think tex was just a bit uncomfortable that his girlfriend and his new friend that he just bought to the party and into their circle were beefing. That's why loona saw his face, chilled tf out and did what bee asked her to do instead of fighting with her, not to mention Bee's a literal Sin. And yeah, Loona WAS super defensive and jumpy. Although I don't blame her too much, you saw the way she was treated by that popular poodle hellhound, like they wanna bully her, ofc she's gonna be ready to fight a more popular, exuberant person. She also appears to be not used to having lots of friends and being in a friendly party environment, which is why she regrets coming when she realises she's super out of her element. And then as soon as that male hellhound shows her some positive attention, she gets motivated to go and try having fun again. Not to mention her backstory, a bit of which we learn later, which totally plays a part in her defensiveness. Also, this episode was intended to be a nice, chill ending to the season. Full of glittery animation and visuals, lots of music, without much serious character and plot development.

The song at the end was composed by Silva Hound, and sung by Chi-Chi, two artists with a long history in the Helluva Boss universe. The music video Addict was my entry point into the series years ago, and I've been following them since. I highly recommend giving Silva Hound's catalogue a lesson.

The theory states that, Queen Beelzebub is always throwing a party to control her temper, so basically that party is ongoing forever and the hellhounds are basically forced to do so as seen as a little piss off on Beelzebub is enough for her to go mad and transform

Folks have already mentioned the Kesha info so I will focus on the imps at the party. If you have not already noticed, male imps have wide black and white stripes on their horns while females have black horns with narrow white stripes. At this party you will see trans imps. Also Sallie Mae, Millie's sister, is trans. Gotta love a series that supports inclusivity. Hellhounds and imps are the absolute lowest members of the hell society and them having a place to mingle and enjoy life is part of what Bee's parties provide for them.

iiiinteresting that you found this was one of the worst episodes. I think it's probably one of my favorites. Maybe top 2 or 3. The chemistry between Bee, Blitzo, and Loona is pretty interesting and even as a filler episode, I think it stands up to the others.

bee is isn't abusive. the look tex gave was supposed to be ment for loona. he was embarrassed because loona was so addamant about blitz being fine, just wanting to party and then disrespecting his girlfriend on her own party he invited her to go to.

I think it's not that Loona wanted to go to the party, but rather that she felt she had to because they had made those plans *before* she learned that Tex had a girlfriend

This episode finally was released after Helluva Boss season 2 episode 4! For legal reasons, Vivziepop wasn’t allowed to release it because of Kesha’s management. However since there wasn’t anything really needed from this episode, they decided to move on with season 2. Vivienne and her group worked hard on this episode and finally made a deal where someone that sounds like Kesha’s character sing for the character, but Kesha was not allowed to sing, only voice act. Idk really anything about it, just that it was portrayed to me that way.

Loona has a crush on Tex. Like When she found out Tex girlfriend was not only hotter but a literal queen she knew she couldn't compete. Also Blitzo was drinking the same stuff that transformed the fish into a sea monster up on earth.

I totally get Loona in this episode. Everything Bee said to her made me super uncomfortable cause I felt like she was making fun of her, but she wasn’t. That’s just how Bee talks! It’s hard to not think people are just shitting on you when you’re in a new setting with people you don’t know lmao.

Yeah! Bee is chill, and actually seems to be a pretty good party host (even if it's mostly so people can stay longer). She might come off as a little pushy but we never see her encourage anyone more than once in a row, so if someone says no she seems to respect that; she respects Blitz when he beats her at her own game *very* publicly, and doesn't make a big deal out of it; even when someone (Blitz) is getting to the point of being a problem, she goes out of her way to find the person he came with and tries to discreetly get Loona to take care of him without embarrassing her or just kicking him out. Loona is the one who starts the confrontation, Bee just finishes it by revealing her true form as one of the Sins, and seems aware that she took it farther than she needed to. I've known some people kind of like this, and if she comes up in future episodes at all I bet she'll be totally cool with Loona still, and would probably be happy to know she got Blitz home safe. She doesn't seem to pay much attention to what happens outside her party world, but she clearly just wants people to have a good time (again, she mentions that this is what she gets her energy from, so it's self-serving but that doesn't mean it's not genuine).

This episode isn't my favorite either, but it's not a bad episode. It just isn't as good as the few before it. We do need more Loona centric stuff though. So I'm glad we got to see that here. Got to see her call Blitz her dad for the first time. And I think we actually get a bit more insight into how Ozzie's affected Blitz. Which is majorly important for the story going forward.

The stuff Bee makes that they were drinking is Beelzejuice, the same that was in Verosika's flask in episode 3 (that she threw in the ocean and caused the giant monster fish) There's also a neon sign on the wall by the bar in Hazbin Hotel that says Beelzejuice

Luna knows Beelzebub, as her signature is on Luna's adoption document in the previous episode on Blitz's phone

If you notice in this and the last episode that all the pictures in his apartment have his face crossed off. He really seems to hate himself for a few reasons which you will find out. Its also probably why he cant keep a relationship. Hes afraid that the other person will hate him too so he just ends it before anything happens.

there are 7 rings of hell based on the 7 deadly sins first is pride, which lucifer rules over and all the sinners (humans who did bad stuff and went to hell) are stuck in that ring. since sinners cannot leave pride, thats why theres alot of overpopulation and why the angels have to exterminate every year theres lust ruled by ozzie/asmodeus , what last episode was set in and gluttony ruled by bee/beelzebub , where this episode was set in imps such as mox, millie, blitz and hellborns like stolas and verosika can visit any of the rings because they arent sinners
