The singer and voice actor that plays the owl Character "Stolas" in the series is Bryce Pinkham. Yes that really is him singing. This was actually a fan made song, written by Paranoid DJ. They liked it so much that they decided to make it canon.

You can watch "crooked", "2 minutes notice", "look at this", "house of Asmodeus", "you will be ok" and more. These are songs from the episodes. This is my favorite

This sound started as a fan song, but it's canon now, and it's the moment before the long anticipated and coming climax for Stolas and Blitz's current relationship; Their relationship started as part business transaction, but now its too meaningful for both of them, but Stolas knows it can't go further because Blitz depends on Stolas to be able to run his business. That Crystal in a box can let Blitz travel to Earth without needing Stolas, meaning he no longer depends on him, but Stolas and the audience fear what could happen when he gives Bltiz that choice

Bryce Pinkham, the VA for Stolas, brings all the feels to his songs. He's got a couple from Helluva Boss. Though the majority of music of the other characters is usually faster paced and less... Broadway. (Nothing wrong with that) The creative team really comes into their own by the end of season 1 and continues to get better. If you like the darker humor then I totally suggest Helluva Boss- and Hazbin Hotel when it comes out.

Great reaction! Bryce's voice definitely gives me chills, too. Helluva Boss is, in my opinion, definitely worth checking out and you can watch it right on KZread. It's a black comedy, so a lot of the humor is pretty inappropriate, but it also has some of the best emotional roots of a show I've ever seen. It's set in Hell and all of the cast is made up of demons, with the main cast being a gaggle of hit men who kill people on Earth at the behest of people who have died and gone to Hell. Despite the fantastical concept, all of the emotions are rooted in a very real place, and it touches on a lot of social and emotional issues. It's also a musical, so there's at least one musical number in every episode; three of the voice actors are Broadway singers, including Bryce Pinkham in this video. As far as this video, Stolas (the owl guy singing) and the show's main character made a deal way back at the beginning of the show so that they would meet up on the full moon every month for sex, and in return the main character can use Stolas's magic basically however he pleases. And then Stolas caught feelings. The song is him coming to terms with the fact that things will have to change if his feelings are ever going to be reciprocated.

The character singing is Prince Stolas and the person who is his voice is Bryce Pinkham (I hope I spelled his last name right)

It's pretty incredible how this music video can make people who have not watched the show and don't know the context of still feel all the emotion. Bryce's voice range coupled with Spindlehorse's stunning visuals just does something to you. Helluva Boss is a dramady. It has a lot of dark and vulgar comedy yet can do a 180 degree to drama that will take you by surprise and tug at your heartstrings. Living in hell is not easy and a lot of the demon characters (that were born there) have mental issues stemming from growing up in that unhealthy environment. So, demonic characters with human emotions. But their morals and habits are questionable and that's where the humor comes in. The VA's are amazing and the music is always great. If you like the old Cartoon Network shows there's a good chance you're gonna enjoy this. They're currently halfway into season 2 and there's going to 2 more seasons.

Its really dark show with vulgar humor but deep characters and great story telling and all the music's wonderful

on the guitar strings with each note, you can notice the subtle rub of fingers against strings giving a slight wounded sound. This is a good touch to the music as well. You can really hear it towards the end during the credits.

Definitely check out Helluva Boss, though the pilot episode, which introduces most of the pivotal characters, will probably seem a bit shocking since this video is all you’ve seen from the series. But please stick with it because you’ll be rewarded. Original songs are in virtually every episode. Major development of multiple characters, intertwining plot lines, brilliant animation and voice acting… all make Helluva Boss great.

I'm a big fan of Helluva Boss (like "hell of a boss") and I've been occasionally seeking out reactions from people who haven't seen the series to see if this song affects them as much as it affected me (I've finally gotten to the point that I don't immediately cry whenever I hear it). Hearing you say "No, it's over? Why?" really warms my heart because the music video clearly drew you into the story. I hope you enjoyed your holiday season and I hope enjoy the show.

The' voice actor of Stolas (The owl) is Bryce Pinkham, he's a Broadway actor and singer :) As far as I know, the show has at least 5 Broadway actors voicing characters

I wish I was seeing more reactions to Paranoid Dj's songs but most people seem not to be doing so even thoiugh he wrote this and had the song out in 2021

To be honest, if you're gonna jump into Helluva Boss as a series, at least be prepared for quite the tone-shift. The series is an independently funded a passion project written mostly by Vivienne Medrano and Brandon Rogers, along with some others, so it's kind of a bunch of creative mavericks who've been given a budget and trust of fans to do who-knows what, so the show is kind of a hot mess tonally, and often qualitatively. Which is pretty interesting, because it's strangely intriguing to watch something that is so unrestrained from the genre conventions we're used to, but it also mean you have to be ready to shift between taking it seriously and not taking it seriously. Also, in terms of general quality, expect a rocky start. The pilot episode is really messy structurally and in terms of dialogue and joke quality. In terms of moment-to-moment visual and writing quality, season 1 is way better than the pilot, and season 2 has largely ironed out the lesser flaws of season 1, and consistently looks amazing. But the series overall has some writing problems on an episode-level, as well as in terms of wider narrative that sometimes drag it down. But it's still quite cool that they're able to deliver the quality they do, and they pretty much always have at least some memorable song per episode. Overall I find it inspirational that they're able to run the show the way they do, which is why I support it.

It would actually be less of a tone shif if he junps into episode 2, THEN 1. The main character of episode 2 is Stolas, like this video, but gently introduces the other characters, who are the main cast of episode 1.

Just FYI, the pilot is not canon, so new viewers can actually skip it and go to episode 1.

If you're surprised and amazed by this, you then need to also react to Tuomas Holopainen's (Of Nightwish fame) solo project, a soundtrack for a graphic novel of Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck by Don Rosa. This graphic novel is wildly popular in Europe, but for some reason it never got the attention it truly deserves in the US, which is kind of sad when in his home country Don Rosa gets bunched together with DuckTales, which is completely different. Don Rosa even drew the album cover for Tuomas, but couldn't draw Scrooge from the front due to copyright issues with Disney, but even then the album cover is amazing. Pretty sure you'll be shocked by how good the entire album is, let alone the lead single Life And Times Of Scrooge.

If you do check out the show, there's a Pilot episode that was made before Season 1. A *lot* changed between that pilot episode and the actual show itself - but elements from it still get referenced on occasion. To get an accurate first impression of all of the characters and the setting, I'd personally recommend starting with Episodes 1-3, then slot in the Pilot, which should make the elements that don't fit obvious and easy to ignore.

Helluva Boss is a great show with many complexities. Don't watch it around children as there is a lot of gore, violence, sexual references, and bad language lol

So happy you did not know the series but still felt the emotion and chills from from Bryce's singing voice and the music/sound design Paranoid DJ crafted for this. The animators also when all out to make this the most beautiful piece they have created thus far. I also appreciate how you did not talk over the song but stopped it to comment. The string is a Japanese trope known as the Red String of Fate, which ties together two soulmates/fated lovers. Stolas breaking it himself means he is letting Blitz make the decision to stay or go, even if it will break Stolas' heart if his first and only love leaves him behind.

I know the show, but it's really interesting to see the reaction of someone who doesn't know the characters and the story, and still you're touched by the feelings, which says a lot about the quality of the music and animation! Wait till you have the context behind it all! The quality of the sound could be improved a bit in your video I think, but thanks for the video ;) I see you've seen the first episode, I hope you won't be fooled by the - very different - tone of the first episode(s).

such a heartbreaking song

So, this was originally a FAN song by PARANOiD DJ. He sang the original version which is on his KZread channel. There are a few lyrical changes in the new version (the one you listened to) vs the original. Plus, in the original, there is some voice acting to go along with the narrative of the song as he does with most of his other songs (he has more Helluva Boss songs along with Hazbin Hotel songs. Hazbin Hotel is Helluva Boss's sister series that hasn't come out yet). The creator Vivziepop liked the song so much that she decided it had to be a part of the series so they made this animation and the voice actor for the character Stolas (the character that sings this song), Bryce Pinkham, sang the version that you watched! It's meant as a sort of in-between for the current episodes that are out now and the ones that are going to come out next year. The gem that is present in the beginning of the music video is important for the story. I definitely recommend watching the series! It's very entertaining and has emotional moments like this. Stolas has several songs just like this one while other songs in the series have a different tone, so this particular sound is typically reserved for him.

If you are going to watch through the series i hope you will upload reactions to the episodes on your channel, this was my first time on your channel and i love how invested you seem to get in this video.

I love the series but a word of caution that it has language, sometimes battle scenes with cartoon blood and other adult suggestive audience. But there is a lot of heart put into the characters and emotions. I feel that at times they are still finding their story telling footing but parts get deep and you feel for them. Well drawn and pretty good flow with the story. It can take months for the next episode but it's been worth it.

If you are interested about the indie animated series called helluva boss I suggest you watch it from season one pilot episode all the way from season 2 but I think you need vivziepop permission to react her creation first to avoid copyright
