It started out a fan song by Paranoid DJ released in October of 2021. It actually came out a week before the "Ozzie's" episode. Paranoid DJ did an amazing job and fricking nailed Stolas' inner turmoil and feelings for Blitz. There are only a few lines changed between their original and this version.

Me and my on and off again bf were going through a rough patch and then we watched this broke down fucking sobbing And cuddled, 10/10 would sob again

I was crying so hard. This is absolutely incredible. The gorgeous visuals, the haunting music, the pain in Stolas' voice, you can instantly understand exactly how bad he wants Blitzø, how he wishes Blitzø would tell him how he feels, and how Stolas wonders if he's the problem. I couldn't be more hyped for episode 8.

I'm so glad this song is canon now. Love this music and the animation so much. Bryce really brought emotion into Stolas’ voice and the lyrics are so deep. You can instantly tell how much pain he's in questioning his relationship with Blitzø

My biggest fear is that Blitzø is going to take this gift as a rejection. A confirmation of his own doubts that NO one could want him, to the point that they'll PAY him to go away. While we can hope all ends well, it sure looks like a bumpy road...

That is a very real possibility. Blitzo has a lot of emotional baggage and trauma; some even Stolas isn't aware of. I hope it ends well, but it could easily end poorly.

Yeah. I mean thats the thing with this show. That central relationships outcome could so easily swing either one way or the other due to how fragile and broken both parties are. They need eachother and deserve eachother but both have so much baggage the other doesnt know about that hinders them from reaching a desired outcome. But we have seen a clip on instagram that Viv posted of Bryce in the voice booth recording lines for season 3 where he refers to Blitzo, so I assume it'll probably work out to some extent, just not how they'll get to that point in the interim.

He doesn't even need to see it as a rejection, just an opportunity for himself to get out of the whole situation. Blitzo wants to be loved so badly, but also can't stand the idea that anyone would love him, because it goes against how he sees himself. When people hate themselves that much, from their perspective, anyone who loves them is either delusional or lying. That's made worse in this case by the fact that they were actually both using each other in the beginning, which further reinforces the notion that Stolas only cares about him as long as he can use him, and tbf, Stolas has done a terrible job of communicating how he actually feels, although Blitzo probably wouldn't believe him if he did

I am here for the drama and all the angst as long as it ends happily

So, Millie is still the most mentally healthy out of all of them--but Stolas just vaulted into second. Not only does he recognize the issues with trying to build a relationship based on a contract--no matter how fair said contract may be--but I was blown away to see him acknowledge the possibility that Blitz just /can't/ love him--or anyone--because of the walls he's put up in order to survive. So, Stolas is going for all the marbles: free Blitz, tell him how he feels...and then let him go if that's what he wants. He's going to try--but he's prepared for either answers, even if a "no" might destroy our favorite owl-fiend's heart.

The parallel between Elijah thanking all the people at the end and mosco telling all of them to go F themselves is making me laugh. Wonderful reaction! Can’t wait to keep watching helevuboss. Have a wonderful day everyone!

I just realized Blitzø might take the crystal the wrong way. If Stolas is giving it to him so he doesn't need the book, thus their arrangement is no longer required, Blitzø might take it as "I don't want/need you anymore." And I don't think I'm emotionally prepared for that situation.

There's a fear in Stolas that like the Moon escaping Earth's orbit, the Moon will be fine even as it flies off on its own into uncertainty, but the Earth it leaves behind will be devastated, even though the "Earth"(Stolas) is seemingly the more powerful celestial body and the "Moon"(Blitzo) is typically considered its lesser.

So happy at first. And all I could think was; Oh, you poor girl. Nothing summons a Hamish, quite like feels you didn't agree to. And you can't shield your emotions properly, because it's so pretty.

Fun fact, some of the lyrics were changed from the original song. The original can be found on PARANOiD DJ's channel and the lyrics indirectly relate more to the episodes "Ozzie's" and "The Circus" than the current plot. Plus people were emotional over the fact that it practically "predicted" how Stolas felt during "Ozzie's."

I am not sure many people got the symbolism of Stolas holding the Earth and Moon and singing to Blitz as the moon. Stolas is well versed in the stars, the movement of planets and the moons, and he knows that slowly but surely, the moon is pulling away from the earth, its very small increments but the moon moves further away every year. If a balance is not struck between the two celestial bodies then eventually the Moon will be flung into the void and it will be gone forever. Stolas is the earth while Blitz is his moon, slowly leaving his orbit to be cast away and never seen again.

The song hits so much harder with the context of the recent episodes. The fact is that PARINOiD DJ nailed it two years ago, and the lyrics are just as spot on today. It's beautiful...and utterly heartrending, with the visual now just acting as a perfect accompaniment for the lyrics.

honestly, the more I listen to this song, the more I tend to tear up each time

Perhaps I’m reading too much into it, but I also see a second layer of significance to the video’s metaphor of Stolas as the Earth and Blitzo as the moon… For our world to be what it is, and for life as we know it to exist, we absolutely need the Moon. It stabilized our axial rotation, helps govern the length of the day, creates the tides and so much of the rhythms of life. Without the Moon it’s quite likely that life might not have arisen on Earth at all. The Moon itself may be a dead world (mirroring what Blitzo has tried to do to kill his emotions and pain) but it gives stability, beauty, and makes life possible on Earth (like Stolas’ inner life, mostly dead with his loveless marriage, but coming to life again thanks to Blitzo). Like the Earth and Moon, in the absence of the other, both are ruined; and I think this may be a wonderful (if maybe unintentional) metaphor for Stolas and Blitzo’s inner lives.

I love that theory so much.

I noticed this during your reaction, but when he falls (towards the end) and is back in his chair in study. Right before a tear falls from his eye, his eyes look they did as a kid. I don't know if it means anything but to me, I'd like to think that he is hoping at the level a "child" would (almost naively in a sincere, sweet way) that Blitz does truly love him.

I'm not usually one to cry at stuff... but this video (+ period hormones) made me shed tears and say "Naww Stolas". I barely knew what it meant when people said, 'they could hear so much emotion in a singing voice' (probably because of my autism idk) but this time... the first 10 seconds and I could hear so much emotion and the beautiful instrumental... yeah,it made me cry

I think the reason he hasn’t at first was because he felt like he couldn’t due to his marriage with Stella. Now that their divorced Stolas has a lot more courage & wants to tell him. Personally I think the Full Moon episode might focus on that

If I may weigh in, over the course of the last season I have really come around to the stolitz way of thinking. But honestly, I think the best way to approach their relationship at the moment would be for them to split up, for now. I think this would best best done as a "right people, wrong time" kind of thing as in my opinion they both need to develop as characters separately before they can pursue a healthy relationship. Let me explain, while Stolas obviously cares about Blitzø he's made it clear that he doesn't fully respect him. He doesn't understand the social barriers between the two of them or why Blitzø would be apprehensive about pursuing a relationship with a royal. Obviously Stolas had a sheltered upbringing and doesn't know what kind of struggles the lower classes go through every day. Now, we all know that Hazbin is going to end in a complete societal reform in hell to make it better for everyone there. A great precursor to that would be for Stolas to learn more about the lower classes of the hellborn and exert his influence as a Goetia to try and improve quality of life for all of them. Getting back together with Blitzø would be a great conclusion to such an arc. As for Blitzø, he is in no way ready for a romantic relationship. He hates himself, he truly despises himself. As far as he's concerned he killed his mother, he scarred his best friend and it's his fault his sister became a drug addict. He needs therapy, perhaps even institutionalised psychiatric help before he can even consider pursuing a relationship of any kind

5:00-5:09 when I was listening to this, it reminded me of that story where Ferenc Liszt was walking by Chopin's room or his apartment or whatever and he was astonished by his performance of "Revolutionary Etude" and he was also like "bro that's illegal, you can't play that well" (not literally but you get my point)

hi Mosco. I found you about a day ago along with Eli and I must say I love you both already. This song also slapped me across the face with emotions mainly because I can relate to many of the aspects of Stolas' story, aside from being an Owl and prince, didn't have the pleasure to be neither of those things, but the bad stuff is there. I also am looking forward to see where this goes. And if they make a Blitzø PoV song then I might as well join you in getting a knife sticked in me because I can handle being called out by a song when it aims at me, but if it calls out the other side I might just turn from solid state to a puddle of tears.

My predictions for the next episode when he gives Blitzø the crystal: Blitzø: "So thats it now, youve decided the thrill gettin down with the lower class is has worn off?" Stolas barely gets 2 words in, Blitzø grabs the stone and runs off to the human realm, gets captured by the DHORKS, emotional monologues, flashbacks or reflections happen and then Stolas comes (bonus MAYBE with the rest of IMP) to go get him and thats the wake up that Blitzø gets to realize Stolas (and IMP) cares?

What scared me as a Stolitz fan is that, this could be Stolas letting go. Like in the beginning, he finally gets the Crystal from Ozzie, which would give Blitz the power to travel to the living world, without having to ask Stolas for the Grimore anymore. Throughout the song, the animation shows how much Stolas truly loves Blitz, and how he wants to understand. But then when Stolas breaks free from Blitz, it might be sign that this is Stolas wanting to let go from the relationship completely. I can't wait for the next episode, but I'm afraid for Stolas' and Blitz' relationship from here. They deserve to be together, but Blitz doesn't believe true love is really there, and Stolas thinks he's the problem, and is finally ready to let go.

But I suspect they won’t talk about it, and Blitz will think Stolas wants to sever their deal and relationship, and that Stolas is yet another person who's leaving him. :/
