It’s been a great event for me. Winning the morning qualifying race was a bit of a surprise. I just made sure I didn’t make any mistakes and that was good enough to get the win. In the main race I got a good start but dropped behind Wade Young, who was running a really strong pace. He had some kind of a problem then, which allowed me to get ahead. I just kept a steady pace going then and things worked out great. There was a lot more man-made sections this year, which isn’t really my things. But to get a fifth Hell’s Gate win is great.

Graham there has got to be a way to keep the battery going. Maybe a small external battery that kicks on about an hour into the ride. Or a way you could quickly turn the external battery on. Or have it mounted somewhere else? I ran into the same issue in Baja and have yet to figure it out myself.

Are a lot of these hard enduro races like this, in that they are all about doing laps on a tough course as opposed to an open "point-A-to-point-B" type race?

A lot of the smaller one day races are like this but the Red Bull Hard Enduro series are all natural terrain..(mostly)

See the footage from Redbull Romaniacs. That's what it's supposed to be. But it's grown into a more comfortable spectator sport with lots of advertisement.

Great race as usual for Graham but I personally like races like Romaniacs, Roof of Africa, etc. opposed to this man made track. But there's no getting around it he's simply the best!

GJ simply despises when he makes even the tiniest error in his riding...he is striving for perfection every moment of a race...he is awesome to watch

Wade had 2 problems - 1. rear mousse broke and had to change it. 2. changed the tyre to one that wasn't allowed by regulations and had to change it again. And it seems to be a trend to add more man-made sections to races like these also some tracks are more alike to trials courses than enduro tracks.

metzger last year was amazing, steeper and more technical the better, for eg. look at the woods they could use but they just chose to stick to the roads and use tons of man-made obstacles, this was a bit of lazy designed track

what i see from his races is Jarvis is usually start slow than he increase the tempo but young racers start with very high tempo and they are straight. I dont know if it is his strategy but its doesnt work any more. He either change his strategy or he should have better tempo during all race
he needs to rev the bike higher ;) i love a pinned 2 stroke! he hardly ever touches the band!!

how is this HELL's gate extreme enduro?? it's just a cross country with a few man-made ex sections... they basically made no use of the woods? wtf is that..

JUSES CHIRST unfortunately, with stupid italian regulations, fabio fasola haven't the permission to use the full mountain this year, so he was forced to do a hand made obstacles race.....
