I'm a former police officer I was out on a traffic stop one night. The vehicle I stopped had six people in it the driver had a felony warrant. While I was trying effect a arrest everyone piled out of the vehicle. It was to the point I was going to have to use my weapon to defend myself. At the right time four Hell's Angles hualing a broken down bike in a pickup saw what was going on and stopped. One of them said Ask us to help you and I did. They knew by me asking for assistance they were covered from liability. Thing went my way thanks to them saved me from having to use my weapon and that could have gone bad too.

I'm always on edge with biker gangs from what I've seen and heard. I was on a long line for beer once at an outdoor concert and a big Hells Angels member walked straight up to me, looked me in the eyes, and said," I'm getting in front of you!". I rode with them on occasion for charity events and I was white, 5'2 female and just a pal of one of the guys (Ray A)who was encouraging me to keep riding my small Honda. I never had an issue with them but I was not challenging them either. I kept riding for a few years but finally gave it up after too many near misses.... Thanks for the vid. Didn't know there were so many biker clubhouses in that area of NYC. For anybody who wants to read about Hells Angels, at least in 1960's Calif, Hunter S. Thompson wrote about his experience running with them for a year. In 1969 the Rolling Stones hired the San Fran Hells Angels club to provide security for their Altamont concert and one Hells Angel stabbed a guy who had a gun, just feet away from the stage where Mick Jagger was singing "Under My Thumb." Some Hell's Angels got charged in the incident but I think they beat all charges.

Read the book, the shit was ill, Hunter in the end damn near got beaten to death by The Hells Angels, and he was writing a good book about them. As far as the guy they killed, he was a black guy who had an argument with one of them, he really had no weapon. They attacked him and killed him and got away with it. Jagger regretted hiring them as security, those guys were animals bro when they got going. A great book though.

@@nagone11 - the guy at the concert who was killed, Meredith Hunter, was shown in films to have a gun.The Hell's Angels stabbed him, knocked him to the ground, and disarmed him. The Hell's Angel who stabbed went to trial for murder but was acquitted on grounds of self-defense because of the presence of the gun. The concert was poorly and hastily organized and thus didn't have time to put in place appropriate security. There were 300,000 people there. It was supposed to be a Woodstock West type of concert, free, at Altamont Speedway, with Jefferson Airship, Stones, and Grateful Dead performing. Hell's Angels agreed they would keep people away from the stage and the generators. When asked how much they wanted, they said $500 in beer. As concert goers got drunk and rowdy, pushing and shoving near the stage, things got ugly. Grateful Dead refused to go on.

Sonny Barger, the head of the Hell's Angels at the time, testified to this as well. The Angels got away with murder. @Bertha 1995. ROAD TRIP! I agree, I LOVE the drives!! Plus, it’s a brilliant idea. I miss NYC & I’m planning a visit soon. THIS way, I can ‘visit’ vicariously & not get sideswiped in my rental car. ☘️

Don’t worry the driving isn’t going anywhere I just meant the parts that are usually sped up without talking will be trimmed down heavily. I’ll look into that now, it shouldn’t be too out of the way

@@MOONEYDashCam Great that's awesome. Yea it's cool watching where you drive it adds to the imagination of what happened and thinking that all characters that were involved in the stories took the same routes you take at some point in history. And thanks for looking into the council meeting, that was a huge part of the mob's progression and uniting. If it's a little out of the way we should start a little gas donation for you to help cover the cost!!

Sorry to be catching this a day late. It’s very good. I like the video-within-your video. Appreciate all the driving you did, and the work to make it happen. Good to know how the Hells Angels got their name. I didn’t know Hempstead and Brooklyn were so far apart. Good comment about the difference between mobsters and bikers, at the end.

I see all the hugs, all the brotherly hand shake's! Bro this! Bro that!! It's all a facade! My first cousin lived his hole life in the biker world at one point he was even President of a Club, then branched off started his own Club, I remember I went to visit him at his home he had two mean ass Dobermans on chain's in his front yard, like 4 or 5 Harley's out front. anyway all that dedication! now! kinda down on his luck all his bros from the club No where to help him. like I said it's all a facade.

Because there are crooked Cops and bad Christians, I guess that makes'em all bad, huh? What a smart comment. Was your family member a 1%er? If he was the boss and got treated the way he did, there's more to the story and you probably don't know it....You ain't gotta like your Brothers....You gotta love them. There are def clubs out there who will give ya the "Bro Job".As a probationary member, there's enough time to tell if the club is legit. If you walk around with blinders on, you get what you deserve. If you have a good sponsor, pay attention to him.He won't let ya down.

Lmao!!!! I grew up in the area. I used to travel everyday from Greenpoint Brooklyn to Freeport Long Island, it’s a good commute. Also That hells angles building has been there for a long time. I remember them having parties and I’ve never seen that many white people in Hempstead. Overall people don’t mess with them. It’s also interesting that the a gang called the “outlaws” started in the same area. They started off of Westbury BLVD! Good work!

@@MOONEYDashCam facts!! I had times where I just remember the parkway then being home. Yeah, the outlaws were a big gang in Hempstead. Two of my friends started it and both were killed. Hykeem Coney, he turned his life around and was killed in the area. They named the street “Union” after him. Check it out, it’s an interesting story. Love your vids too!
