I Greatly Enjoy Watching Phil H. SUFFER & LOOSE...

What I like about these tapings is like, this is more what real poker is like. I love GSN's High Stakes Poker, but that's more great TV than anything. This...just feels like the type of stuff that happens in a home game or when you roll up to the casino yourself lol.

I wanna live life with the enjoyment that phil laak plays poker.

In this case the hand is already pretty much over. theres no way that Ho folds her hand and Phil has absolutely nothing. So it really doesnt give any relevant information over. But I still see your point and agree with it to some degree. Just not in this instant :D

Alan Jankowski ......that's what happens when bad poker players allow their ego to play & bet over their common sense. Phil Helmuth is too obvious. His opponents know that he HAS to play EVERY hand....even if it's a bad hand. Phil truly sucks at poker. He got lucky a few times. But overall, his over-exposure, on the big scene, is what makes him his money. Little as that has become. Sad.

AJMC82 that’s irrelevant. His comments are inappropriate and overly sexual. It makes me cringe every time I hear it, and I’m sure many of the women who watch this don’t appreciate that the commentator can’t stop sexualizing the women at the table, rather than focusing on their poker skill. Do you really think any of them would feel comfortable coming on this show after hearing how he discusses women... and maybe they are very close... but this is a public setting and a very poor reflection on poker night in America (and besides their friendship being a moot point, as just because someone is your friend doesn’t mean you can talk about or joke at their expense indefinitely, and about anything). And the fact everyone is talking “shit” about what he was saying should tell you that many were not comfortable with it. I’ve got a couple gfs who play poker with me and some guys... and if I kept talking about the, straddling shit and how they look, they wouldn’t come back. I played sports my entire life, worked out, ate well, and have always been in great shape... but I also started piano at the age of 4 and had a 4.0 gpa... and I can tell you that whenever I would sit down at a piano, in front of a friend who didn’t know I could play, or talk in an intelligent way, and the reaction from my friends would be awe, and they start joking with me about how I’m a jock and suppose to be a meat head, it would irritate me... I imagine a friend constantly commenting about her looks and sexuality, rather than the fact she is a good poker player in a game dominated by men, probably irritates her as well... and makes the viewers uncomfortable... anyways, I don’t have KZread notifications turned on so respond or don’t... I’ll never know. Good lucky

It's a terrific selection of players at the table, with the exception of the rich Asian guy they're all well-known, very successful pros. Plus, Joe Stapleton is a poker-commentary God. I'd like to see them playing for much higher stakes though.... On the ol' High Stakes Poker seasons, and even Poker After Dark, an opening 3-bet was the players in this game's starting stack... and you'd see some huge huge hands.

(And no, I'm not "enthralled" by big stacks in tournaments at all.) But I, on the other hand, was actually referring to this brand new form of No Limit Hold em that was actually just invented this past month, and is really catching on! Its called, a "cash game", in particular, what are known as "high stakes cash games." You see, they use *real* money, not big denomination tournament chips (or, "big numbers" to you simple folk), and ship the cost of *TWO* brand new Lamborghinis all-in on the river. Therefore, you mindless fish, when these famous, filthy rich, top level pros play $25-50, it is NOT exciting to watch. Next time, take the red pill instead of the blue one. And you should REALLY heed Abraham Lincoln's quote, "'Tis better to be thought a fool and remain silent, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt", and keep your mouth shut. I make my living off fish like you.
