That's exactly right @jay west as the hottest chillies grown under the best conditions wouldn't get within a quarter of that Scoville unit. I've tasted food with capsaicin oil in it and it's pretty much inedible, and on top of that, the taste is really bad.

Brian. I had these cramps before in the past from eating spicy foods. My girlfriend tried everything and one thing that worked was 250ml water + 2 tspn of bicarbonate soda. It adjusts the PH levels in your stomach and settles the pain. It worked within a few minutes.

I've been watching Hot Ones lately and I thought that challenge was nuts but goddamn, this was insane. You have put me off the idea of even attempting to fuck around with anything too serious. I'm glad you didn't do permanent damage to yourself eating those wings.

Usually I laugh in these challenges. But honestly this shit made me feel bad for Brian. Dude legit looked like someone killed his puppy or something. They’re supposed to be fun, not life threatening. I agree, extracts end up making these challenges dangerous and above all not fun or entertaining for anyone with an actual brain.

Also, once you dilute the extract with all the other food, the product is not 9 million scovilles anymore. It's like mixing espresso into a latte and then saying it's still as strong as an espresso. All the strength is still there but it's now diluted. Just saying.

I bet if this challenge had not had extract in it and was an all natural concoction of sauces, I bet Brian would have been able to eat all 12 wings. It's hard not to frown on extracts because they are not all natural. Glad you came out alright in the end.

I had a similar experience when I ate 1 ghost pepper hot wing at "Karla's" in Phoenix. I was in the bathroom for 45 mins praying to GOD and thinking I was going to pass out. The worst part isn't eating it, it's digesting it and feeling the pain magnified as it slowly drifts through your intestines..I'll never do it again!

9 million scoville is a bit of a stretch. Unless you added extract sauce to this, combining several peppers together, does not increase overall scoville rating.

Of course nobody can beat the challenge when you dump tons of extract into the sauce. Come up with a recipe using peppers, spices, sauce and maybe a liiiiiiiiittle bit of extract...then see how they do. Over doing the extract is just...amateur...there is no other way to describe it. People who regularly eat super hot peppers should be able to get through the challenge. That much extract is dangerous, not cool.

@@TrapRAM first off, I apologize for being a dick about that. But that makes no sense. Chili heads can eat extracts and pure evil, tinctures etx. Obviously extract doesn't taste good, but some people have a much higher tolerance and theres only so many ways to achieve that heat level. Personally I prefer pure evil capsaicin drops over extract because it has almost 0 flavor, and then you can still flavor with various peppers. And don't get blazin. Mango habanero is much better :P

What Brian experienced ( imo since I've experienced both of these feelings ) is like 1/4 of herion withdraw. The shakes, the sweating and over all how uncomfortable you are is very similar. That capsaicin poisoning like Brian experienced is very similar but not nearly as painful as withdrawing cold turkey. Don't do drugs kids!

synthandsynth I'm a VERY anxious person as well and trust me both aren't fun. I compare the two because you get the muscle cramps, and a lot of the other physical aspects of opiate withdrawal with that " capsaicin poisoning " but as far as anxiety the withdraw is way worse. Lol I wouldn't do either again. I got my capsaicin poisoning from "plutonium" hot sauce...but opiate withdrawal is torture and a lot worse than that...
